Welcome !
March is, most certainly, proving that it comes in like a lion. But will it go out like a lamb? We certainly hope so! Old Man Winter has been very generous, but we gladly welcome spring.

Tooth decay is the single most common chronic childhood disease and yet 90% of it is preventable! The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry suggests a child see a dentist by their first birthday, yet this rarely happens. Our goal is to educate parents and patients so that they start regular dental visits early.
At Foothills Pediatric Dentistry, we know kids' teeth. Most importantly, we know kids. Kid-friendly diversions like bright murals, cool toys, and great movies. Even the dental chairs are equipped with DVD movies and individual headphones. The result is a positive environment that makes each visit fun. A focus on specialized and preventive pediatric and adolescent dentistry during the growth and development years assures a healthy smile for life.
Over the next few newsletters, we will be 'spotlighting' one of our team members. Beyond their professional expertise and education, you'll find out a little information on their lives outside the office. One thing they all have in common is, most importantly, they all love kids and are experts in guiding children through the dental experience.
This month's employee spotlight is on Bertha Peterson.
Bertha Peterson has been an employee with Foothills Pediatric Dentistry since July 2009. Her family was stationed in the area through her husband’s job in the Air Force. Bertha and her husband Michael have a six year old son Caleb who attends Sam Houston Elementary. They are active members of River Oaks Community Church and joyful supporters of the local area. Since moving to Maryville Bertha’s family has enjoyed getting to know the local residents and taking advantage of living in the foothills. Their hobbies include hiking, camping, and going for walks on the greenbelt with their dog Brock.
