WELCOME
BACK-TO-SCHOOL!

As we head back to the fields for football & soccer it's extremely important to wear a mouthguard to protect your teeth. An athlete has a 60% higher chance of injury to the mouth when not wearing a nightguard. Studies also show that wearing a mouthguard can help
cut down on damage caused by a blow to the head or a fall.
Call our office today to get your custom mouthguard and protect your teeth. Good luck & have fun!

Happy Fall!

What is Laser Bacterial Reduction?

Did you know that bacteria can hide in the tissue under your gums where traditional at-home care can’t reach them? Fortunately, advancements in technology have made possible a procedure called laser bacterial reduction (LBR) to combat these untouched infection breeders.

LBR uses laser light for the most effective method of reducing the bacteria that lives in the pockets around your teeth. Without proper reduction, these bacteria can lead to infections that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease.

LBR is completely painless, and only takes approximately 5-10 minutes. It is typically done prior to periodontal maintenance or when gum inflammation is present on someone of any age or health level.

When is LBR indicated during a preventive care visit?

Bacteria persist by migrating beneath the gums and into the underlying tissue. Where a professional cleaning by your hygienist provides the opportunity to remove not only surface deposits but also deposits under the gum tissue, a laser can extend beneath the tissue to disrupt and remove bacterium. The painless heat of the laser thermally dehydrates the biofilms. Since dehydration is lethal to bacteria, the potential for infection and gum detachment is significantly decreased.

In keeping with our commitment to provide our patients with the best care possible, our office offers LBR procedures. We recommend laser bacterial reduction prior to periodontal maintenance or gingivitis treatments. Because it is painless and quick, it is easy to begin an LBR regimen right away.

We are happy to answer your questions about the procedure. Please call our office, or click the button below to easily request an appointment.

We are honored to participate in this important community event.  Dr. Krueger and your team for Dental Excellence will be participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer/North Shore, event on Sunday, October 13.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the U.S. other than skin cancer.  It is the second-leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer.

In memory of his beloved sister, Gretchen, who lost her life to breast cancer in 1995 and to honor his wife, Patti, a 15-year survivor, Dr. Krueger and his team will take the journey to help end breast cancer once and for all. We welcome donations in honor or memory of a loved one to help support our team. Beginning on September 16 and through the month of October, $25 from each hygiene visit will be donated to this event to help our team fundraising efforts.

If you are due for your preventive care or we have not seen your smile for awhile, call today to schedule your appointment and help make a difference to help end this disease forever!

Breast cancer won't cure itself and we are doing our part to help put an end to this terrible disease.  Together we can create a world with more birthdays.

Watch for details to find out how you can support our team and help make a difference!
