Welcome !
Halloween will be here before you know it and we all know that Halloween, to most children, means candy. To help keep cavities away and maintain your child's good dental health this Halloween, remember to have them brush and floss after eating sugary treats.
If you are concerned about the amount of candy that your children will receive, try rationing it out over a few weeks. You can also have each child set aside half of their Halloween candy, and later accompany them to donate it to an organization, particularly where children are being housed or the elderly.
Instead of giving out Halloween candy this year, check out these 10 fun alternatives to give out on Halloween night:
- Sugar free gum
- Vampire teeth
- Halloween stickers
- Party favor sunglasses
- Small cans of play-doh
- Noisemakers
- Pencils with Halloween erasers
- Halloween bouncy balls
- Temporary tattoos
- Small bottles of bubbles
Most kids love this stuff and it won't cause decay!
Employee Spotlight
Dr. Drew tried to avoid the employee spotlight, but his team said he had to do it!!! Dr. Drew has been practicing dentistry since 1996. He earned a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 1997 in the US Navy and subsequently, served for seven more years onboard ships, in San Diego and in the Reserves. He completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at Denver Children's Hospital in 2002. He moved to East Tennessee in 2002 and opened our practice in Maryville in fall of 2003. He is married to his lovely wife Paula and has two great step-children, Will and Ava. They enjoy a lot of family activities together and he has always enjoyed home projects, fishing and a good motorcycle ride. "Every day at our office is unique because each child brings their own special style. As parents, we all understand the flare with which children view the world around them - that is why I chose pediatric dentistry and why I enjoy each day we help make a small difference in children's lives.
