May is a very special time of the year. We are looking forward to returning to a more normal lifestyle. We have many great things planned for you this month!

We start the month by celebrating Teachers Day on the 2nd and Cinco de Mayo on the 5th! We definitely appreciate the teachers more than ever after having to homeschool lately. There are many great teachers who impact our lives and our children's lives. Thank you to all of our teachers.

Then, we celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday May 14th. It is one of my favorite days of the year! We have several suggestions for the perfect gift below. All moms deserve a little mommy makeover.

Last but certainly not least, on May 29th we celebrate Memorial Day. It is the day dedicated to servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives for freedom and for our country. It is also a time to remember loved ones who have passed away and to be thankful for all of our blessings.

Check out all of the great promotions we have just for you this May!

From the entire team, have a happy May!

Developing healthy eating habits not only keeps your body in good health and in great shape, but it also makes you feel wonderful! During times of stress we tend to eat more junk food to make ourselves feel better; which actually makes us feel worse. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind; that's why it is so important to eat nutrient-rich foods.

The most optimal way to incorporate a healthy eating regimen into your daily life is to ingest fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes, dairy, fish/poultry and whole grains. It is wise to limit your intake of processed foods, red meat, oil and high sodium sugary snacks. Another important aspect of eating healthy is to hydrate your body with plenty of water each day.

There are a lot of resources available for you to educate yourself on specific foods you can eat that will maintain your physical health and emotional well-being.

It seems that many people get gung-ho about eating healthy on January 1st. Then, soon after the New Year begins, the resolution fades and people go back to old eating habits. So how can you stay on track?
  1. Set clear goals
  2. Associate with friends and others who practice healthy living
  3. Practice self-discipline
  4. Avoid junk food purchases
  5. Set a limit on wine and alcohol
  6. Hire a personal coach or team up with a friend for support
