Hi !

Did you know that the physicians at Palos Verdes Medical Group are responsible for conducting over 250 clinical research trials?

PVMG physicians work in partnership with many major pharmaceutical companies to conduct clinical research studies year-round. The goal of these studies is to improve medical treatments and outcomes for patients suffering from a broad range of conditions such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, chronic respiratory disorders, ADHD, diabetes, sleep disorders and hyperlipidemia. Our doctors have earned a reputation for quality research studies and have achieved significant study results. Dr. Sher was even recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine for his clinical research work.

You may be wondering what this has to do with you! First off, having a doctor that conducts clinical research studies ensures that they are up-to-date with the latest medications, treatments and techniques. This helps us provide you with the best medical care possible. Having a doctor involved in national research also means that you have the opportunity to participate in one of our clinical research trials! Benefits of participating in a clinical research trial include gaining access to new treatments before they are widely available, helping others by contributing to medical research and receiving quality medical care at no cost.

With all of this in mind, we wanted to take this time to tell you about two new amazing research studies that the physicians at Palos Verdes Medical Group are conducting. The first of these studies is for those who are or may be allergic to dust mites and the other is for people with atopic dermatitis (eczema). Both of these medications being tested in these studies have shown significant results in the improvement of these diseases. We urge you to read more about these two studies that we are conducting below. If you are interested in participating or have any questions, feel free to call our office and ask to be transferred to our research department or email info@peninsularesearch.com.

More About the Dust Allergy Research Study:

A research study is testing an investigational allergy medication to treat dust allergies. If you are 18 to 65 years old and have had dust mite allergy symptoms for at least 1 year, you may qualify for this study. Results from this study may help to release a new type of allergy shot for those allergic to dust. Instead of the conventional allergy shot treatment, which typically takes years and requires you to come into the office twice a week and then slowly work your way up to once every other month, this new allergy shot would simply require you to come in once a month for 8 months!

More About the Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema) Research Study:

A research study is testing an investigational medication to treat chronic eczema. If you are 18 to 65 years old and have chronic atopic dermatitis (eczema), you may qualify for this study.Currently, there are no medications on the market to treat eczema that will stop the allergic pathway from creating this skin condition and this new drug may do just that! To read more about the potential of this new medication, check out this article in the New England Journal of Medicine

Once again, if you are interested in participating in any one of our trials, have any questions, or would simply like to learn more about what we are doing, feel free to call our office and ask to be transferred to our research department or email info@peninsularesearch.com

Have a great day!
