Summer is officially here!

Have a trip coming up? Come and see us before you go! If you missed the news, PVMG has been certified by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a travel clinic! This means that we can offer travel vaccines and medications to help protect you while traveling internationally. Simply let us know where you are going and come in for a visit 4 to 6 weeks before your trip. After that it's smooth sailing and you can enjoy your getaway with peace of mind.

A Few Announcements & Reminders:

July is National Cord Blood Awareness Month!

When a baby is born, the umbilical cord blood contains stem cells that can save lives. Cord blood can only be collected and stored at birth, and is the easiest to transplant when a patient is sick. Get more information about cord blood by clicking here.

Here comes the sun!

As the weather heats up, make sure you and your family are taking proper precautions against harmful sun rays. Apply sunscreen to exposed areas of skin when outdoors and be sure to pack the sunblock when heading to the pool or beach!  

Back to School Already?

Although it may seem far away, we have already started scheduling back-to-school physicals! Avoid the end of summer rush and get those physicals out of the way now!

Complimentary Newborn Baby Care Class – Wednesday, July 31^st, 7:00 pm at Palos Verdes Medical Group

Our one-session newborn baby care class is free of charge and open to patients and community members. Both new and experienced parents are welcome. Topics such as breastfeeding, bottle feeding and infant care will be covered. Class is taught by our office manager Michelle Smith, who has a Master's in Public Health and is a Certified Childbirth Educator, and one of our pediatricians.
