The end of the year is quickly approaching, and everyone wants to feel great for the holidays.  To help you feel great, why not treat yourself to better eyesight!  If you have reached your insurance deductible for the year, then don't wait to book in for a consultation to receive cataract surgery before the Christmas Holidays!  We still have a few slots available this year until the end of 2018 for cataract surgeries. Let your insurance take care of you and your cataracts before your benefit is lost at the new year! Book a consult today and get ready to see the gorgeous Christmas lights coming up next month with better vision!

Cataract Surgery..... Simplified!

Cataracts are not the only cause of blurred vision as we get older. Astigmatism (when the cornea is not perfectly round) causes light entering the eye to scatter, and therefore the image that we see is out of focus. In order to see your very best after cataract surgery, your surgeon needs to fix both the cataract and any astigmatism that might exist.

At Advanced Vision Care, we were among the first in the nation to offer Femtosecond Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery (FLACS). This revolutionary technology has evolved to simplify many of the steps of cataract surgery. It also helps with astigmatism correction.

To better optimize your vision, we use the ORA system during cataract surgery. This one-of-a-kind technology gives your surgeon real-time measurements of your eye during the cataract procedure. As a result, you can feel confident that your surgeon has selected the correct lens for your eye.

If you are considering cataract surgery, our board-certified, fellowship trained surgeons will create a customized plan tailored to your individual needs.

In The News

AVC Shines At AAO 2018

At the 2018 meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (the largest annual gathering of ophthalmologists in the world) in Chicago, Advanced Vision Care was front-and-center. Drs. Fram and Masket took the podium to debate the latest in cataract surgery. Our doctors spent the weekend instructing courses for ophthalmologists from across the globe interested in learning about advanced surgical techniques in cataract and corneal surgery.

The practice also received their second consecutive best paper award! Dr. Naids presented the results of original research on improving the accuracy of intraocular lens (the lens that your surgeon implants in your eye at the time of cataract surgery) selection at the time of cataract surgery.

What's New At AVC

State-of-the-Art Glaucoma Management at AVC

Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) is the next generation in glaucoma management. AVC glaucoma specialist Dr. Juliet Chung has years of experience with various MIGS procedures, and is now proud to offer the XEN gel stent. The XEN gel stent is the newest MIGS procedure designed to treat glaucoma by lowering pressure inside of the eye. This may allow patients to minimize the number of eye drops used on a daily basis to treat glaucoma. Please contact us for a consultation with Dr. Chung about this revolutionary treatment.
