Dear Patients,
We are currently facing the earliest and one of the worst outbreaks of the flu that we have seen in years. Flu season usually peaks in February or March however this year, more people have the flu now than at any time last year. It is not too late to get your flu vaccine if you have not already done so and we are urging all of our patients and family members to get one as soon as possible. By getting a flu shot you are not only protecting yourself and your family, but also those members of our community who are unable to receive the flu vaccine (those on chemo, infants under 6 months old, etc.).
The flu shot and flumist nasal spray are both effective in protecting against the flu approximately 10 to 14 days after receiving it. Those who choose not to get a flu vaccine are often times misinformed. Click here to read the five most common myths about the flu vaccine.
All 1,200 of our flu vaccines have been administered and due to the high demand, we are unable to receive any additional vaccines. We have confirmed that the following locations in our area do have flu vaccines available:

Del Amo Carestation - Currently have flu vaccines for adults only. They will have pediatric vaccines for ages 5 and under available on Tuesday, January 15th (No HMO)
