With the beginning of June, it feels official: Summer is finally here! We have so many fun events and promotions to share with you this summer, so make sure you are keeping a close eye on our Facebook, Twitter, or the Events page on our brand new, updated website. We are working on adding even more content to this website, to make it both user-friendly and helpful to you!

FATHER'S DAY SONNY'S BBQ DINNER CONTEST: This June, we salute great dads everywhere by hosting our Sonny's BBQ contest. Kids can fill out our Necktie Entry Form with their favorite activity to do with their dad! Each entry will be included in our June 16th raffle for a $50 gift certificate for Sonny's BBQ. Entry forms are due by June 16th and can be submitted while in-office at an appointment or at home, and brought in before the due date. Our winner will be informed on June 17th and can pick up their certificate anytime on June 18th or 19th. EVENTS IN THE AREA THIS MONTH: Looking to get out this month?

• Schmooze, booze, and and shop at WineArt Wednesday in Downtown Lake Mary. This event happens the first Wednesday of every month, so this June 3 from 5-9 p.m., enjoy some art, shopping, beer and wine while choosing a food truck for dinner. Find the fun just off Lake Mary Blvd. and 4th Street near Lake Mary City Hall. For more information, call (407) 585-1416.

• Learn how to safeguard your precious memories at UCF's Public History Center. On June 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., attend Preserving Your Family Photos In A Digital Age for hands-on instructions on digitizing images and techniques to properly scan and add historical information and references. Gather your favorite items to bring to the event, and you wil go home with high-resolution scans. The workshop costs $25 and space is limited, so register soon by emailing publichistorycenter@ucf.edu. Call 407-936-1679 for more information.

• Show off your hot rod or drool over the rest at the Downtown Longwood Cruise-in Car Show. This event is the second Saturday of every month and, in June, the coveted cars will assemble on the 13th between 5-8 p.m. on W. Church Ave. in Historic Longwood. Admission is free! Call (407) 260-3484 for more information.

• Head to the Central Florida Zoo on June 20 for Night Hike at the Zoo! Check-in begins at 7:30 p.m. and the two-hour program lasts until about 10:30 p.m. The event is for ages 5 and up, and registration ends June 12, so visit their website to purchase tickets now.

• Disney's Alice in Wonderland will hit the stage this month at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center in Sanford. There are various showtimes from June 25-28
