The countdown to summer and those much-needed vacations has officially begun! Wherever your destinations may be, PVMG can help you travel safe and travel smart! For those of you signing your kids up for summer activities, don’t forget that most camps require a physical exam prior to attending. Many summer sports programs also require a physical exam. We recommend that all children who plan to participate in summer athletics or attend camp during the summer have a thorough physical examination. Summer activities are a lot of fun, but spending a lot of time in the sun could aggravate an existing medical problem. Summer activities are also often very strenuous, so it’s important to know if your child is healthy enough to participate! Beat the summer rush and book your child’s physical today. Keep in mind that our full-time pediatrician, Dr. Mitton, is now offering physicals on the weekends!

For students, summer is the absolute BEST time to get tested for ADHD and/or learn ways to better manage ADHD. Summer provides students with the time and flexibility that is needed to experiment with different ADHD management techniques and find what works best for them without affecting their academics. This way, once it’s time to head back-to-school, the student can do so feeling confident that their ADHD won’t hold them back!
