Dr. Placik and his staff are extrememly welcoming and understanding to answer any questions you might have. I had a labiaplasty done and am more than happy with my results. I would recommend Dr. Placik to any woman or man suffering from any cosmetic issue that they suffer embarassment from on a day to day basis. I am most grateful for the opportunity to state my highest regard for Dr. Placik both as a skilled plastic surgeon and as an individual.I came to Dr. Placik on the recommendation of several hospital mammography technicians. They have viewed many results and agreed that Dr. Placik is the plastic surgeon of choice. He skillfully replaced my 30 year old ruptured silicone breast implants for new natural look and feel saline. Several years later he again replaced one of the saline from heart surgery stress. It is very difficult to match side to side replacement, but I am extremely pleased. He did this operation in the convenience of his office surgical room. Not only he but also Shari, his nurse, were most attentive to my questions, emotional support, and guiding me every step in the process. I am most happy with Dr.Placik's work, and continue to highly recommend him.

I am a 36 year old mom of two. I worked out 5-6 days a week and was tired of looking at myself in the mirror and not seeing the body I felt I worked out so hard for. I had a "mini tummy tuck," hip and thigh lipo with fat transfer breast augmentation surgery. I have never felt better! I LOVE that my breasts are completely me and look completely natural (no implants necessary). I love that I still have my curves on the bottom but am now more proportional. What woman hasn't said 'if I could only take some from there and put it here!' This procedure now makes it possible. Dr Otto and his staff have been absolutely wonderful! My name is Robin i was 41 years of age when i decided to have breast implants, i researched many doctors located within the Chicago land area and decided to go with Dr. Placik after our fist consultation i was very comfortable with the doctor and the staff. i was given all of the information both by booklet and i watched a video and was even given a test to see if i was paying attention.The doctor and the staff both were very pleasant and answered all my question, after the procedure which i love the results there was some pain by it subsided with time and was given pain killers to help and still had all my concerns and questions answered with no problem at all. I am really happy i did the procedure and have not one regret at all.If i ever decided to do anything else i would have not one problem going back to Dr. Placik he was a really nice gentleman.

Dr. Placik is one of the kindest and most professional doctors that I've ever met! Growing up I was always self conscious about my body and never satisfied with how I looked. I knew I wanted breast augmentation, but was too embarrassed to seek a consultation. When I met with Dr. Placik, his bedside manner and professionalism was superb. I initially felt uneasy once arriving to his office, but once I met with him, all my nerves went away. Dr. Placik, the environment and his staff made feel so comfortable. That same day I knew we was going go to be my surgeon and therefore went through with the surgery 2months later. That was August 2010 and now 8 months later still very ecstatic with the results. Next month I will also be undergoing another procedure and will be more than happy to share my experience!!!

I found the staff of Associated Plastic Surgeons and Dr. Placik himself to be both professional, pleasant, and informative. Many of the staff have had procedures done, and it was very reassuring to hear their personal experiences. My breasts had gone through a lot during adolscence, pregnancy, and nursing. After the agumentation I felt like I had gotten back what I had lost. It was very restoring. I had gotten other consultations with other doctors. I choose Dr. Placik because of his honest professional bedside manner, and he was more competent in profoming breast agumentations than other doctors I visited.

I was nervous about my proceedure, until I found myself in the capable hands of Dr Otto Placik and his staff. They were thorough in their explanations of what to expect, and in explaining how the entire process would unfold. Prior to choosing my surgeon, I researched extensively online and had consultations with multiple doctors before I met Dr. Placik. I knew immediately after meeting Dr. Placik and his staff that he was the right doctor for me. As a physician myself, I knew that I wanted an excellent versus and average surgeon. I was searching for someone who not only possessed extensive knowledge, skills and experience, but a doctor who was approachable and a genuinely caring individual. I had received a personal recommendation from a friend who had had Dr. Placik perform her surgery so I figured I should go to a consultation. I found all of the qualities I was looking for and then some in Dr. Placik and his staff. From the receptionists and nurses to financial planners, Dr. Placik's team assisted me in making my breast augmentation surgery a smooth process. Preoperative instructions were clear and the postoperative pain management plan was effective in making my recovery process a smooth one. The caring gestures like the phone call on the first post-operative evening to the flowers I received the day after my surgery reminded me in the healing process of exactly why I had chosen Dr. Placik. There are many horror stories of complications and bad results on the internet and ones that I have heard from friends who have gone to other doctors. My surgical results are fantastic and even better than I had hoped for. All of my physician colleagues who know about my procedure are impressed with my results as well. When I had questions after my surgery, Dr. Placik personally returned my phone calls promptly whether it was a weekend or after office hours. I would highly recommend Dr. Placik to all of my friends and family members. I went to Dr. Placik 4 years ago looking for a miracle and that is exactly what I got. My consultation appointment was nerve wrecking, I had not let anyone see my naked chest in years. After my second child my chest went from a 34B to a scrawny 34-A, I could not find bras to fit that were not special order and had the profile of a man. I remember going in thinking this is crazy, plastic surgery what a silly thing to consider. I left my appointment with a surgery date and a size already picked out. Dr. Placik and his staff were awesome, they made me feel so comfortable and were always so helpful with answering my questions and concerns. Surgery day came and again they were so wonderful to me and my Husband, explaining everything to us and answering our last minute questions. I remember waking up and looking down to see the most beautiflly round breasts and saying to myself "Wow you look like a Women again". My recovery went just as they said, everthing they advised was right on. I have gone every year for my check-up and I am so happy with my results. It has improved my sense of feminity and self confidence more than I thought it would.

I am a mother of 4 year old twins and I had a tummy tuck done in July 2009. The staff and Dr. Placik could not have been anymore supportive and helpful. They were always available for me anytime I had a question or concern. They made me feel like they actually cared when I did reach out with a question. It was convenient to go to his office and have the procedure done rather than checking into a hospital and having to stay overnight. He did not give me unrealistic expectations along with telling me everything to expect. The results were even better than I expected and I couldn't be more thrilled. During my post-op visit, Dr. Placik indicated to me that I would have to follow the exercises that he outlined for me in order to continue to look this way. Now, a year and a half later, I have been able to perform multiple exercises to keep my stomach trim and I now have a six-pack! Because of him, his staff, and my experience, I would recommend them to anyone looking to have this procedure done.

After having two children and breastfeeding each child for 9 months, I had lost breast volume and I decided on breast augmentation. I looked for a highly qualified surgeon that had experience with silicone breast implants. I chose Dr. Placik. Getting in for an appointment was easy. I entered their office and the atmosphere was very relaxed. There were albums of patient before and after pictures in the waiting room. They were beautiful and again it confirmed I had made the right decision. His staff is very knowledgeable and very personable. They inspired confidence in my decision as they shared their own experiences. I felt very comfortable to discuss with Dr. Placik what I expected. I knew that I wanted high profile silicone implants placed under the muscle so if I had any more children breastfeeding could remain an option. Combined with his knowledge and keen eye for aesthetics, he helped me decide on an appropriate size (475cc). I also had liposuction in my left breast to correct asymmetry. I was able to obtain financing very easily through Care Credit. Pain from the surgery was minimal and maintained through medication. I had bruising from the liposuction on my breast but that disappeared quickly. They provide teaching for post surgical massage, range of motion and stretching. They stressed the importance of massage after the surgery. I strongly feel that the post-surgical care improves the overall result of the procedure. The scars are hardly noticeable and completely concealed under the breasts. It is now almost 2 years since having the procedure. I am very happy with my decision. The results are natural-looking, natural-feeling and proportionate to my body. I have received numerous compliments. I can not fully express my gratitude to Dr. Placik and his staff for their knowledge and expertise. They were able to help restore the femininity which I felt had gone when I had lost breast volume after weaning my second child.

I had a breast enlargement a year ago and could not be happier with the results. I did not want to go too large and told Dr. Placik and his staff this concern up front. They gave me the desired size exactly! And, there are no scars at all. They look very natural. The surgery and recovery also went exactly as they said with no issues. Dr. Placik and his staff are, without a doubt, the finest group of individuals, not only as medical specialists, but as people, I have had the pleasure of meeting. You simply do not feel like "just another patient". Their care is extraordinarily individualized and when seeing a plastic surgeon, this is huge! I am extremely satisfied with my overall experience with Dr. Placik and his staff. From the very beginning, he took the time to educate me on the procedure, everything involved, and what I could expect to get out of it. I did not feel like I was talking to a person who simply wanted to make money from me, but rather a person who genuinely cared about my interests and wants to help me reach my goals. Dr. Placik's office is very nice, up to date, and conveniently located. His staff is knowledgeable and I can tell they've been with him for a long time. He is very informed of the latest technologies and I can tell by observing his office that he has no problem investing in his business to stay ahead of times. I was really concerned about the pain (I'm a big baby) and Dr. Placik was very straight with me about the pain. The procedure itself was not painful since I had a great Anesthesiologist but after the procedure I started feeling it. Fortunately Dr. Placik knew what was coming and prescribed me the appropriate dosage of pain-relief medicine. Dr. Placik also did a great job at training my husband on how to help me which was great. He explained the daily "exercises" I would need to perform so I could settle properly. I love the way my breast turned out and have been recommending Dr. Placik to select friends. My husband loves the new me; not just how I look but he has commented on my new confidence as well. Thank you Dr. Placik!

After breastfeeding three children, I was unhappy at the way my breasts looked. My sister had breast augmentation with Dr. Placik and her results were phenomenal. As a nurse practitioner, I was VERY hesitant to have any elective surgery but scheduled a consultation. Dr. Placik immediately eased my fears and impressed me with his level of knowledge and "bedside" manner. He is honest and performed a detailed examination--answering all my questions and concerns. I decided to take the plunge and scheduled the procedure. The results are way beyond my expectations. I must admit, I have beautiful boobs!! I could not be happier with the results and the staff was supportive and nurturing. It has been three years since the surgery and everything is still looking and feeling great. Since then, I decided to have botox and some fillers and again, Dr. Placik did a great job. So afraid of the "fake plastic look" but the results are so natural. Dr. Placik's surgical skills can be seen in countless before and after pictures. He is precise...a perfectionist, highly invested in a positive outcome and that's exactly what I was looking for when I was headed into my first encounter with plastic surgery. In addition to being a great surgeon, Dr. Placik is one of the most "present" people I have ever met. When I met with him, both before and after my surgery, there was never a sense of "hurry". He patiently answered all my questions until I didn't have any more, and as someone who was anxious about the process, I was grateful for that. I always had a larger than average nose. After the success I had with teeth straightening and LASIK corrective eye surgery, I felt it was a time to get my large nose taken care of. The results of the rhinoplasty surgery exceeded my expectations. Dr. Placik probably performed every technique in the book to give me a more normal-looking nose. My dorsal hump was gone and my nose was narrower and less bulky. I was especially pleased with how Dr. Placik was able to reduce the size of my nostrils. There were a couple minor imperfections that resulted from the surgery. There is slight asymmetry between the left and right nostril and the right nostril contains a small bump on the inside, outer wall. However, the improvement to my appearance by having a smaller nose has greatly outweighed these drawbacks. After the surgery, I laid low while the nose was bandaged so as to keep it a secret from my friends. When I did see them, I was delighted that several women commented on my improved appearance without knowing I had the procedure. Everyone noticed a change in my personality. I was more confident and outgoing. Overall, I am extremely happy with the new nose Dr. Placik gave me and believe my appearance was greatly enhanced. My life has changed for the better as a result of this surgery. In fact, I have since met and fallen in love with the girl of my dreams!

I recently had a upper lid blepharoplasty & labiaplasty done with Dr. Placik and Im amazed at what a difference both procedures have made. My labia had been bothering me for years and was embarassed to see a dr regarding it. March 17th, 2010, I had a consultation for breast augmentation with Dr. Placik. My experience was nothing short of amazing, impressive, warm, EXTREMELY informative and knowledgeable (the video was AWESOME) and any other appropriate adjective. I had consulted with other doctors before making my decision, but none of them impressed me like Dr. Placik and his staff. I knew he would be my surgeon before I left the office. They made me feel like I was the only patient they would ever have. Prior to surgery, Shari and Sarah were incredible preparing me for surgery. On May 8th, 2010, I went in for surgery. I have never had general anesthesia and Dr. Placik and the rest of the surgical staff made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. I had no fear. I am pleased to say that I had a very successful recovery. I only used pain meds for less than 48 hours after the surgery. My post surgery results have been great. I am so incredibly pleased with my results and my choice to use Dr. Placik. I have told everyone that if they want work done, please use Dr. Placik. He is an AMAZING doctor with an even more AMAZING staff. Almost forgot to mention the little bouquet of roses that were delivered to my house less than 3 minutes after I arrived home from the surgery. SOOOOOO CUTE!!! After researching several plastic surgeons, Dr. Placik was (and is) the most professional doctor I came across during my initial consultation(s). Other surgeons I "interviewed" charged me $50-$100 for a 10 min consultation! Some surgeons did not have assistants in the room during my consultation and others didn’t do any measuring of my chest, they just looked at my breasts and then told me how much the procedure would cost (as if I came to pay them to enjoy a peep show… I felt so violated). Dr. Placik stood out to be the best surgeon to go with because of his professionalism and because he took the time to educate me during my initial consultation and did not charge me! (He even quizzed me when I told him I did a little research on my own). In addition to a great first impression, his front office assistants were friendly and very welcoming and shared their own stories of procedures they too had done by Dr. Placik. I had a breast augmentation done by Dr. Placik and his work was flawless and extremely natural looking, (I sometimes forget that I had work done). Seven years and two kids later, my breasts still look full and natural and I am now back in Dr. Placik’s office for a tummy tuck. What I truly appreciate most about Dr. Placik is that he’s honest and is not out to make “money” off of his clients. I say this because I am currently at a physical stage where he could easily make a killing off of me and perform a tummy tuck right now, but instead, he advised me to try my best to tone up and get to my ideal weight before having the surgery done for maximum results. Dr. Placik and his Staff were beyond expectation. Dr. Placik took me in on short notice after a long day at the dermotologist for basal cell removal. He and his Staff showed compassionate care and concern from beginning to end including follow up care. I am an Asian and I always hoped my nose can be a little taller. Never had any plastic surgery before, I decided to try out the non-surgery nose job injection and see if I would like some change on my nose. Doctor Placik was very patient at listening to how I want my nose to look like. I really just wanted a little bit of change, nothing dramatic that my friends can tell I had a plastic surgery, but enough to make me feel better of myself. After like 5 mins of procedure, there were no pain, just a little bit tension on the skin, and almost ignorable swelling for the first two days. My husband can't even tell I had a plastic surgery. I am very happy with my visit, the result is instant. I'm hoping to get a more permanent result with Doctor Placik for my next visit.

I am happy to write a testimonial about my experience at Associated Plastic Surgeons. I had an abdominoplasty along with abdominal muscle repair and some liposuction of my flanks. First of all, I can't say enough about the staff. I was in three separate times before deciding to have the procedure, and each time, Dr. Placik was very thorough, patient and forthright in explaining the procedure, what it could and could not do, its potential risk and results. The visits were never rushed--he spent a lot of time explaining things and at no time was I ever made to feel pressured. Dr. Placik's friendly demeanor and attention to detail led me to have the trust necessary to go through with the procedure. After booking the procedure, I became so grateful for the staff. I can't even count the number of times I called before and after the operation with questions and concerns, and everyone was always friendly and available and took the time to answer everything in detail. Shari, Sarah and Jewel were always comforting voices on the phone, and made me feel well cared for. Also Cynthia the anesthesiologist took the time to call the night before and was really helpful at putting me at ease. On the day of surgery, Corisa really put me at ease as she prepped me for the procedure. The surgery itself went very smoothly. The medication regimen that they have you on really controls the pain so well that it wasn't even an issue. Everything went as they said it would and I was very comfortable recovering at home. I'm one week post-op at the time I'm writing this and I can already see that the results I was hoping for have been achieved. My husband and I are both marveling at how good the incisions look even after such a short time. I absolutely recommend Dr. Placik and his staff for their care, diligence, personal attention and results. I have been completely satisfied with all aspects of my care.

I have to admit that I was not expecting such a great service and experience when I decided to go ahead with the procedure. Doctor Placik is outstanding and so is the rest of the staff in the office. He has not only got great personality, but he is also very gentle and sweet. The surgery was short, pain free and the recovery time was minimal. I was back to work only two days after the breast and eye procedure. The service at the Downtwon Clinic was so sweet and helpful, they really made the entire experience stress free. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and taken care of. Office hour are great, easy to accommodate my tight schedule. I am amazed with the end result of the procedure and do not regret any penny spent on it. If I was to do it all over again, I would not hesitate for a second. I had a breast augmentation and liposuction on my hips done by Dr. Placik back in October 2009. Since I had never had surgery or been put under before, I was extremely nervous about the entire procedure. When I turned forty years old I needed to get a full hysterectomy because of a huge benign tumor and other complications. I was scheduled for surgery and thought why not do something for myself that would make me feel wonderful after this procedure.So I asked my Gynecologist for a recommendation.She spoke highly of Dr Placik, so I scheduled a consultation.The staff was great and Dr Placik has a fabulous bedside manner.I told him what I was doing and he did advise that it would be quite a bit to handle a hysterectomy and an abdomin at the same time. I felt so at ease with Dr Placik and his care that I did not think twice and asked him to go forward with the surgery.Well when the surgery was over believe me the hysterectomy did not cross my mind at all when I saw a washboard stomach under my hospital gown.Could not wait to get better. It is 10 years since that surgery and yes I have gained some weight but never need to worry about wearing any supportive clothing for my stomach.I suppose you can say that I never had any emotional issues with my hysterectomy because what Dr Placik did.He made me feel and look great!

I had a face lift and fat injections with Dr. Placik approxiimately 5 months ago. I am extremely pleased with the results of this surgery. Everyone in the office was pleasant and informative.
