The offices of the Ballston Dental Arts are conveniently located in the heart of Ballston, one block from Metro, and form an attractive suite with very modern equipment and a wonderful staff that is both capable and caring. When my dentist of more than thirty years retired several years ago, I dreaded the thought of finding a replacement. But following the suggestion of several of my fellow residents here at the Jefferson, I made an appointment with Dr. Kim, located right here in our own building. Ballston Dental Arts is by far the best dentist I've ever seen. I've been going to Dr. Kim for three years and I would never go anywhere else. The staff is so friendly, their advanced technology for appointment reminders is so convenient for me as a very busy young adult, and they have early morning appointments that allow me to have my twice yearly check-ups without having to miss any work. Dr. Kim never makes you wait to see him and he always gives me as much time as needed--I never feel rushed.

I always had problems with my teeth (cavities, sensitivity, receding gums) and I brush and floss every day. Since I started with Dr. Kim, all those problems have gotten under control. My teeth used to hurt a lot on and off and I was told I just had sensitive teeth. Since I started with Dr. Kim, all the "sensitive" tooth pain has vanished. I never have had to return to the office because of a mistake... whereas in the past there was always something off about a crown or filling with other dentists and I would have to return for them to fix it. Dr. Kim gets it right the first time. As a bonus, the staff is very engaging and warm as is Dr. Kim. He is very professional and takes the time to speak with you. Fantastic service starting from the front door. The entire staff is welcoming and informative. I have never had to spend more than 1 minute in the waiting room prior to going in back. All procedures are explained in detail beforehand, often with video, so you are always aware of what is going on. The doctor, medical staff and office staff are extremely accommodating and works hard in your interest to make sure you have great teeth. Highly recommended! M.D.

Maybe it is just me but I have come to expect the dentist office to be like a torture chamber where you will dread going, not understand what is being done, and why it is costing you so much. Dr. Kim explains things in easy to understand language instead of dentist terms. His staff also explains the charges in a straightforward manner and helps you to understand and deal with your ridiculous insurance company. His office is professional in every way. They send you email reminders about appointments, offer you a cup of coffee, and do it all with a smile. He has several friendly staff members who make going to the dentist a fun experience despite the fact that it is a trip to the dentist.
