I felt very comfortable and at ease. I felt like everything was explained so I truly understood and that there was a huge effort made in taking care of my anxiety and comfort levels. I am grateful to have finally found a dentist who is calm and kind, and understanding of my dental anxiety.

Dr. Alfe and her team have been nothing but pleasurable, professional and exceedingly friendly over the course of my several visits. I had an excellent dentist in California before moving to Chicago and was a bit worried I would be unable to find another of such great quality. My concerns were allayed almost immediately upon walking through the entryway. They perform thorough examinations, research your dental history and provide as well as explain all available options for treatment and maintenance. Both Rima and Dr. Alfe are great and I can't recommend Chicago Smile Spa highly enough.

Dr. Alfe, Rima, and Chicago Smile Spa are unparallel in their field. One of my best friends is a cosmetic dentist, so I know a fair amount about the industry and associated technology. I can say without hesitation that Dr. Alfe is the best dentist in the Chicago. I required a major crown replacement as a result of an accident, and she was able to complete the entire process in one visit! Chicago Smile Spa has advanced lab equipment in-house. As a result, the typical 3-4 week process was reduced to a few hours. The end result was truly amazing, and my expectations were far exceeded aesthetically . The experience at Chicago Dental Spa is uniquely different. Dr. Alfe and Rima are funny, compassionate, and highly skilled. They have gone to great lengths to create a comfortable environment that feels more like a spa than a dentist office. I was almost sad to leave after the experience finished. Dr. Alfe puts her patient’s interest above all else; This separates her practice from the industry's tendency toward revenue generation. Dr. Alfe clearly has a passion for dentistry and doing what is best for her patients. It is without hesitation that I recommend Dr. Alfe and Rima as your team for any dental need.

I was somewhat apprehensive about the whole idea of using an oral appliance to treat my sleep apnea. But shortly meeting Dr. Alfe I soon felt at ease as she explained the process and took the time to interpret the results of my sleep center report. I am finally comfortable with this newly discovered approach and plan to go forward with it.

Dr Alfe & her assistant were very efficient. My teeth cleaning was pain free! For going to a dentist it was a very nice experience. Dr Alfe was very helpful in explaining my situation, and ways to them them corrected.

On my third and final visit to Dr. Alfe's, once again waving at those lonely magazines, Dr. Alfe applied the final stages of the whitening. This time, I thought I would prep for my soon to be bright smile with two episodes of Sex and the City. (For being at a dentist, you have the choices of Blockbuster while your procedures are taking place)! When Dr. Alfe handed me the mirror, I was absolutely stunned. My smile had never looked so beautiful. (This coming from a girl with braces in her past). I could not be more pleased with my results & knowing how to take care of this smile in the future, I know it's here to stay! Chicago Smile Spa is an experience your gums & teeth will thank you for in the years to come. Upon returning for my second appointment, I was ready to begin the whitening process. Again, walking past the waiting area, I was seated in the comfortable dental chair, offered a blanket & the whitening process began. My mouth trays came out perfect, snug & tight against my teeth. A desensitizer was applied to my teeth & gums, & the mouth guards were in place. Relaxing to the TV show of my choice, my teeth began their painless journey towards the world of pearly whites. Two episodes of Entourage later, my teeth were already lighter & brighter. Dr. Alfe walked me through my at home process, & I was on my way. I had my everything I needed for my mission for a beautiful smile. For 2 weeks at home, the nightly procedure I endured was simple. After brushing my teeth before bed, I applied the desensitizer & then the whitening gel to the mouth guard, & off to sleep I went. Unlike any mouth guard I have ever tried before, this custom night guard was one I could actually sleep in, comfortably. In the morning off went the night guard & whiter & whiter my teeth became.

My dental goal in life is to have stunning, white teeth. After expressing my concerns, in house/at home whitening was going to make this goal of mine a reality, starting by taking impressions of my teeth. If you've not have had professional teeth whitening done, you have no idea the amazing difference between that & over-the-counter whitening. The impressions were taken so my upper & lower mouth guards could be custom made. That alone is a notable difference. I was introduced to Dr. Gerilyn Alfe, the beautiful smile behind Chicago Smile Spa. She took the time to introduce herself to me, answer any questions I may have, & explain the procedures that were going to take place. When I left my consultation, I never felt safer in the dentist chair. One of the comments Dr. Alfe made was, "If you mess up your hair, it will always grow back. Your teeth, well, the second set is all you have left." After learning about her mission to "provide the absolute best dental care possible" I could hardly wait to get started.

Always smile because you never know who could be falling in love with it. Think about that for a moment & a smile is a great way to start & end every day. When I walked into Chicago Smile Spa, I was surrounded by smiles. Pictures of beautiful, pearly whites were everywhere. Immediately, I knew I was in good hands. As I entered, I immediately noticed the waiting room. Ironically, I found out no one ever really sits there. Oh, it's not like the area is uninviting, quite the contrary. Nice chairs alongside a wonderful view of the Lincoln Park area & lots of good magazines to read. However, Chicago Smile Spa dedicates each appointment booked exclusively for the client. No one ever has to wait for or rush through his or her appointment. I was given a complete tour of the facility & was impressed at the bright, modern feel I picked up on. It's not your typical dentist office. You know what I mean: dark, has that "dentist smell" & that soft office music is always playing in the background, almost encouraging you to take a nap. No, Chicago Smile Spa has a different atmosphere. Hey, the music alone was enough to make me grin.

Dr Alfe was very knowledgeable. She was very concerned on how I felt about my appreance and the health of my teeth. I was so happy with her and the way she treated me I cannot wait to go back. The gentleman( I forgot his name) at the front desk was so polite and listened to everything I had to say. I felt so comfortable being there!! The best I think I have ever felt considering the fact that I am at a Dentist office :-)

the only reason why i said my financial options were not explined to me is becuase i was startled to learn that i have to pay in full personally and then i have to send paperwork to my insurance co and manage the reimbursement process. this is new to me and i prefer the dental office to manage that becuase it is very expensive for me to pay personally in those full amounts.
