You asked for my comments, so here they are. There was a problem with the calculation of charges for the future services proposed. The costs I was quoted seemed rather high even with the insurance payments factored in. I would have preferred to have had those services more fully explained so I could better understand them and the charges. I had to call Delta Dental to get a fuller explanation. Secondly, before quoting a co-pay it would have been better if you checked with Delta Dental to determine whether the patient qualified for the Delta payment. In my case I do not at this time qualify because of the waiting period. I think it should be policy to check with the insurer, particularly where a new patient is involved. I cancelled my appointments because I have developed other medical matters which take precedent but I probably will reschedule them when those things are solved.

I feel the Jane does a good job. It feels humane when she lets you know what she is going to do at each stage. For example when she lets you know that she is going to dry your teeth or when she is going to tilt the bed a little. The teaching also on how best to brush and to floss one's teeth I feel she does it to her best.

I went for a semi-annual cleaning and then was told I needed a panoramic dental x-ray before I left. I was not informed that this would be an additional hundred dollar cost until I had to pay on the way out. Patients should be informed of the cost prior to a procedure. I was very impressed that the hygienist had read my record before my visit. (The one who just had a baby several months ago), she is excellent.

Everything was great, and I know it is difficult to deal with kids and the parents at the same time. Here is something that I admire in Kieran's former pediatrician who unfortunately left the area: He completely focused on Kieran during the exam, treated him like a grown-up but with great tenderness (I know that Kieran is not easily accessible but he got him to respond....) and then he turned around and said: And this is what mom needs to know, and even went straight to the computer to print out information sheets. This kind of approach was so very helpful to Kieran and mom at the same time!

I had not been to a Dentist for approximately 20 years when finally I said I have to go. I worked in Bedford MA at the time and I was driving by Dr. Kostas' office and I just decided to go in. I did not have an appointment and, because of my previous experiences, I was hoping he would not be taking new patients...what a chicken I was! But he took me in that day. I eplained why I was afraid of the Dentist, he told me that I was not alone and that many people in my age group had similar issues with Dentists. He looked in my mouth, told me what he saw and explained exactly what he would do to get me back on track and he did! Again I would not go to any other Dentist now that I have found the best!!

Dr.Kostas is the 'tooth whisperer'. He was able to diagnose a problem 2 other dentists had failed to see, and he relieved the pain and saved the tooth. All of the staff is warm and friendly, I would most certainly recomend this team of professionals to anyone! (and I do!)

I had to cancel my original appt, and Dr. Kostas was able to reschedule right away. When I did come in for my cleaning, Gilda found a cavity. Dr. Kostas was able to fill it right then, without having to schedule another appt. The whole staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. You really get the sense that they care about you not only as a customer, but as a person. Like most people, I hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Kostas's office takes the stress out of it. Highly recommended!

My 1st visit - was wonderful. I was greeted by a very warm and friendly team. Dr.Kostas made me feel at ease and explain what he was doing at all times. I am reluctant to go to a new dentist, this seems like it will work out well for me. Have some issues and Dr.Kostas is weighing decision what would be the best resolution. I know that I will be treated well and they have my well being and care top of the list. Looking forward to my next visit and hope to feel allot better about myself and my teeth. Thank you.
