I discovered "floss" through a google search, something new to me and pretty interesting. After reviewing the concept for its clinical value, I was a bit surprised that you guys never spoke to me about it. I shared the idea with Jonel (or is it Janel), and she agreed to introduce the technique at the next staff meeting. Also, any record of a 7mm finding on the "gap measurement records" is wildly exaggerated, highly suspect, and generally not to be believed. If Mallery backs up that reading, don't forget she's a newby.

Once again, a very pleasant experience. The entire staff always takes excellent care of me. They never let me forget to validate my parking, schedule my next appointment or leave without my dental products (free of charge, of course). Dr Jayne has just the right blend of professionalism and humor. He always listens to my concerns and addresses each one of them. And, as for for my "Restorative Hygienist", Janelle- She is the best Hygienist I've every had (And I've had a few). I highly recommend Don Jayne and his entire staff.

I've been a patient of Dr. Jayne and his team three years this month. I just had my first yearly exam, cleaning and a minor surgical procedure. As always, they were fabulous and always take time to listen and answer questions. I drive all the way from Yakima and feel it's worth the travel time to have my dental care in their hands. They're the best!

This doesn't relate to my most recent experience, but overall I've been very pleased with the care that I've received from Dr. Jayne and the office. Both he and the rest of the staff are friendly, caring, and treat me with the utmost respect. If there is one thing that needs to be addressed it's that the last several times that I've dealt with Stacy her response and follow-up hasn't been very good. I've needed to schedule follow-up appointments with Dr. Jayne with some unexpected issues, and she has not gotten back to me when she said she would the last few times. I've had to continue to go back and ask where we were on my questions and next steps. So, her response and follow-up needs to improve.

Great experience - Dr. Jayne and his staff are very friendly. Everyone remembered me even though I hadn't been in for awhile and welcomed family I brought with me too. I love the free parking downtown - really reduces the stress. I came 45 minutes early and was fit in almost immediately. Everything explained clearly in the exam & all questions welcomed. Definitely a positive experience.

The first appointment for creating the mold for bite guard was uncomfortable but that was just my particular issue with my teeth...not sure it could have been prevented. Once it was clear that it was hard to get the bottom part out, the team did a great job (including Dr Jayne) of carefully easing it out.... The second visit to re-do the top one was a breeze......

I waited about 10 minutes. I was a bit put off when the hygienist I thought I would be seeing came out for someone else, and I had to ask at the desk what was up. I was then told there had been a mixup in schedules and I would be seeing someone else. That was not a problem; she was equally good. I was just surprised that I had not been contacted in advance, as I usually am when there are even the slightest changes. It would have been a problem if there had not been another hygienist available at that time.

I was greeted, read a magazine about 1 minute. The hygienist escorted me to the dental room, I hung up my coat and sat in chair. She asked a couple of general questions and I rinsed my mouth. She scraped my teeth, brushed, and flossed them. She set up my next appointment.

I used to have 100% faith in Dr. Jayne, and his staff. However the last two visits have thrown me for a loop. I am now feeling unsure of my opinion. Waiting on hour at each visit, prior to even being seen, past the time fo my appointment is never accaptable. Also, having the same work fail twice in two weeks is making me question the work being done.

Though I think my care has been great here, I've got to admit that I'm very disappointed w/ the decision to end preferred provider status. This will cause us to look at other options for care. While I understand the reasoning behind the decision, it seems like a "grandfather" approach for existing longtime patients would have been a more considerate way to go.

Selecting a dentist is always difficult and being new to Seattle made it even more of a challenge. I found Dr. Jane’s office randomly while walking in Seattle. He is in such a convenient location and kindly offers validated parking for drivers. I discovered through my research that I had stumbled upon an expert in the field. He specializes in many areas. I was very eager to get started but my biggest fear was my first appointment; you know when you have to open your mouth. I was hoping he didn’t say “What the hell!”. I was so relieved that no one asked me “what happened to you?”. He made me feel confident that he knew what treatment I needed in order to achieve the most ideal outcome. Three years later his team has been absolutely amazing! By the way, experts like referring their patients to other experts. Going to Dr. Don Jayne for dental care is as pleasant and relaxing as going to a health spa for a deep tissue massage. Dr. Jayne and his amazing staff treat each patient with warmth and thoughtfulness, minimizing pain to zero, focusing on a patient's comfort, on each individual's specific issues related to teeth and gums care, both preventive and restorative. No deep tissue massage, but this is all about oral health and the best dental care EVER!

The staff and service at Dr. Jayne's office is impeccable. The only downside is that they no longer participate as a provider with my insurance (Delta Dental) which means I incur more of the cost. This is fine for routine cleanings but I fear I will have to go elsewhere if something more substantial in cost arises.

I had a very positive experience at Dr Jayne's dental office every time I visited his office in Seatlle. Most importantly, unlike many other dentists I visited before, Dr Jayne only recommended necessary, and minimally invasive dental therapies. I am very happy that I chose Dr. Jayne for a second opinion after one dentist recommended 5 front crowns, which I felt were unnecessary in my case. I would recommend Dr. Jayne to anyone who is looking for a very competent, highly professional and, above all, honest dentist.

I am not sure how the change in WDS membership will affect the amount out-of-pocket I will be required to pay. I am worried that the expense will dramatically increase. Years ago, I went to an out-of-network dentist, and the cost was prohibitive and I had to switch dentists. I don't know if that will be the situation now or not. I'd rather not need to find a new dentist as I am happy with the care I am currently receiving.

I've been going to this office for more than 15 years and the staff is the reason I keep coming back. Love the ladies in the front and am impressed that the same staff has been there for years. I especially like my hygenist and like her the best out of all the ones I've had through the years. She has a good balance of scraping off the plaque without manhandling my mouth and causing me too much pain. Takes a steady hand to find that balance and she makes my visits such a pleasure. Even though my flossing is perfect (duh), she still gets to discipline me because I bleed when she pokes me with pointy things. It works for both of us, and I see that as a win-win. I've been going to Dr. Jayne for 30 years. He better not retire. He and his staff are wonderful -- I can't remember the last time I had to wait for an appointment. I do remember a time when I had a tooth appointment, and he opened up special for me (on a Friday) to fix my tooth. What service!

I am always in excellent, gentle, caring, hands, who have my dental care first in mind. Pain, fractures, tartar,gums are all thoroughly reviewed due to medications that tend to make them worse. Insurance is always reviewed with me and I know if I am able to afford this now or have to save for later, a great team to have in this economy, they are on my side, yet have my dental care first in mind.

When I asked to see Dr. Jayne to consult on something, although I didn't have an appointment, and the office was busy, they immediately notified him and he came out to meet with me. I was taken into one of the examining rooms where I was examined and a plan made to take care of my problem. I was very pleased with how I was taken cared of.

She addressed all my questions and concerns clearly and accurately, and with such sensitivity, attention, perception and understanding that she anticipated and answered some of my questions before I could even voice them. Regarding issues of treatment in which I needed or will need to make decisions, she provided just the right amount and level of information to enable me to make the best decision for my particular circumstances, without undue pressure. The high quality of hygiene care that Janelle delivers is a strong motivator to keep returning to Dr. Jayne's office.

I arrived on time, was seated in a dental chair within 5 minutes. The pockets were checked and recorded, a water pic was used to clean the gum line, regular hand scraping of the teeth using a tool was next, ending with a polish of the teeth. I was given a demonstration of brushing with the correct angle and a modern flexible pic.

Janelle Scott was ill yesterday, so I got Lauri Pruett for my cleaning. Initially I was apprehensive, but Lauri did a wonderful job and was very friendly and offered advice I had not heard before. Since she used to teach dental hygiene and worked for a gum specialist, her perspective was much appreciated.

Dr. Jayne's team feels more like a family than a dentist's office. I have been a patient there for over 10 years and have seen very little staff turnover, which is a very good sign. I have observed his office to be very well run and organized. Other dentists have examined his work in my mouth and confirmed that it was top quality. I would highly recommend Dr. Jayne to friends and family.

I had a painful obstruction when flossing my back teeth which was a loose filling that Dr Jayne said shouldn't have come out. (I believe the filling was done by a hygienist right before a crown was placed?) The earliest appt available was 3 wks later to have it redone. Once redone, my back gums were swollen which I thought was from the re-filling 'trauma.' 5-6 days later a small piece of smelly cotton roll from the procedure came out. I appreciate Dr.Jayne's apology and adjustment of my night guard to fit the new filling. :-) (I would refer people who work/live close to downtown and don't have WDS.)

I've been a patient of Dr Jayne's for about 5 years and have always found the entire staff to be very professional. They have high tech and fast equipment, a pleasant office, and always provide excellent care. One thing that sets them apart is taht the front desk staff researches your insurance and explains it to you. I also like that they don't use mercury fillings. Overall, they're an excellent team!
