Dr. Kaufman was very good. I originally came in for a consult, but upon seeing the condition he agreed with my initial diagnosis and with a very fast check to make sure it was safe he changed my appointment on the spot to perform a tooth extraction. I was in and out a lot faster than I expected.

Office provided excellent service. All staff persons are considerate and attentive to the patient's needs. Dr. Kaufman puts the patient at ease and his patient care is excellent. My also had a pleasant experience with my hygienist. She is personable and very effective. The team makes sure the patient is comfortable. I recommend the practice very highly.

Prompt and courteous service. Cleaning and diagnostics were good. However, I had to have my xrays 3 times, and was offered a preventive service without being notified that it entailed an extra cost that may not be covered by my insurance, I found out after it had been applied.

The administrative staff and clinical staff were friendly, engaging and we're open to concerns I had. Dr. Kaufman was equally engaging, had a great sense of humor (which is a tremendous help for anyone who cringes at the thought of seeing the Dentist). I love this place!

Excellent professional service was rendered from the time I arrived to leaving. Left voicemail on Sunday for an emergency appointment and received a return call on Tuesday for a Tuesday appointment. (Monday was Holiday). Did not feel uneasy about being in the dentist office. Everything was explained from taking the x ray to what was going on and the type of follow-up that I would need. Look forward to going back to get the procedure done that's needed with out fear. Notice a 6 or 7 year old go back to see the dentist and she came out smiling. That say's a lot. Also notice patients coming in and the wait was not more than 5 minutes before they were going back to see a dentist.

I had a wonderful experience at Kaufman and Kaufman. Everyone was courteous, the whole process of assessment, then cleaning, and having a filling redone was quick and painless. Dr. Minkowski was great, as was everyone else. I expected to be sore following the work on my filling, but the anesthetic wore off way more quickly than I have experienced before, which was great, and afterwards I felt nothing! It was like I had had nothing done, and the filling felt wonderful in my mouth. I have been to a lot of dentists in my life, unfortunately, and this was the best overall experience I've had.

When I was seen on Friday, July 15th, the service given me was beyond 5 stars! Nina cleaned my teeth very well, then turned me over to Dr. Best and her staff to repair a crown (which was placed by another dentist) which had fallen off. They worked quickly and efficiently and I was very pleased with the results!

I don't want just anyone monkeying around with sharp objects near my cranial nerves. My mouth is an important orifice to me. The most important factor for me is that my dentist and hygienist are highly competent. The customer service stuff is only sort of important.

While I'm not much of a TV watcher, I'd think dentist offices with TVs at the chairs should pay a lot of attention to where the screen is (so the torture victu..I mean client can see it) and what is on. There's a screen at the chair but I can't see it well (and it was off), remvoing from you a tool that sometimes helps me.

I had a very bad experience getting a full X-ray-- Gayle was great as usual. The X-ray device made me gag. After four or five attempts I left fearing too much radiation. Also my stomach was upset. I never had such an experience before. Cannot understand it.

After the hygienist,Nina, had finished cleaning my teeth, Dr. Kaufman came in to check my mouth, but he never did. We talked of upcoming app'ts instead. However, I was charged $74. for having my mouth checked. I discovered this after I checked my receipt for my payment. What should be done about this?

I had an implant performed and was scared to have it done. Dr. Kaufman explained the process and put me at ease. Angel let me know she's had it done also and she made me feel so comfortable. She checked on me each time I came to an appointment. However, the entire staff was great.

Nina is always terrific - she has to do a lot of work on my teeth but she is very gentle. I feel like she cares about my oral hygiene and is thinking of ways to help (recommending electric toothbrush, mouthwash, checking to see that I *really* know how to floss). Also, the ladies who handle the billing/payments are really nice. The blonde lady especially - sorry not to know her name - has corrected errors or explained billing several times. I appreciate seeing the same faces when I come in. I also like that I never have to wait and that Nina makes my appointments while I'm still in the exam room. Good continuity!

Hygienist is experienced, however the Dr. Lisa Minkowski is bad. She seems like very busy and doesn't want to communicate with the patient at all. She checked my teeth very briefly and made my teeth feel so painful. The gum of both side of my teeth swelled for several days after her examination. A very bad job, especially her attitude as a dentist, so bad!

My dentist whose name I still do not know did not introduce herself to me. I figured out that she was a dentist 5 minutes or so after she was examining my mouth. The hygienist was great she was very polite and seem to be compassionate about her job

I love my dentist and by no means am i try to report negative information. I would like to suggest that a dr be available on on the weekends because stuff just happens sometimes. I went in for a cleaning and my crown cement if im saying that correctly, came off. The beautiful young ladies at the office could not cement it back in because they are not Doctors. At the end of the day they were very professional and helpful in finding a doctor that could come in on her off day. I would just like to thank all you guys as it relates to helping me with this situation. I know we cant always forsee things like this happening. I received a birthday email from Kaufman & Kaufman Smile Design Studio which reminded me that somehow I has missed a cleaning and checkup. I contacted the studio and received an appointment with my favorite Hygienist Nina. I was glad to see all the familiar faces, including the part time and new ones. Dr. Louis was M.I.A. which was a good thing because he was on a well deserved and needed vacation. I left with no cavities, no new work recommendations, an appointment for my next visit, a dental goody bag, and a smile. It was a grand dental visit.

I am absolutely terrible with names, but the two ladies that worked on me were phenomenal. My appointment was on June 10 at 8am (if that helps figure out who to provide recognition to). The dentist was very informative and friendly. The dental assistant was also very friendly and even remembered the last time I came in. Both, my husband and I have had nothing but positive experiences with this new dentist choice. It also doesn't hurt that we live in the area and the convenience is unmatched :)

I am extremely disappointed with this process. I was seen in your office on April 2, and I have not heard from you in 3 weeks to date. Dr Best, in the event my timeline conflicted with your schedule you should have told me or possibly referred me to another dentist. I also realize things happen, but it is inexcusable for you or your staff not to communicate with me. Not to mention, I requested an appointment on line in December 2014, no one got back to me until late January. When I finally got a representative, I could not get an appointment for 3 weeks. I had no idea that you would have not started the extractions. Someone dropped the ball which tells me your office is not running efficiently. I never had this problem in the past. I have decided not to start this process until I receive my pension funds. There is some maintenance that need addressing in the event you have time before May 31, 2015. I also need a copy of my ex-rays.

Considering this was my first appt non teeth cleaning. I was a absolute wreck going in because I have always been put to sleep for teeth extractions. Dr. Kaufman was calming with his voice and gentle during the procedure. He asked me how I was doing throughout. His assistant. I believe her name was Heather? I can't remember. She was a Caucasian girl. She also kept me sane by laughing with me as she knew I was very nervous. Thanks for a pleasant experience as I was prepared for it to be worse. Post operatively. Still eating soft foods and mouth/jaw/face is sore. Thank you Dr. Kaufman

I love this dentist's office! I have been coming to this office for the past 26 years (since elementary school), and I've experienced nothing but the best service and treatment. Dr. Kaufman is a master of his craft and is always up to date on the newest dental technology. I really appreciate this. I also love Nina, one of his dental hygienists, who has been cleaning my teeth for years. She is very personable and is always making suggestions on how I can better care for my teeth. Well, I was generally happy to find someone who could help me on a Saturday, being from Germany for a week in Chicago. But when I start to think about the amount of money I had to pay for the treatment ... Actually the doctor took the temporary upper front denture out which had become loose. That was no big deal - it had to be cleaned and be glued back in again. No big new diagnosis, no pain treatment, no knowledge involved, just glue and an assistant to hold it for 10 minutes to dry. I explained that I am in an treatment in Germany and that I just needed that little help. Now listen: 244 Dollars !!!!! WOW! If I had known that before I would have become a dentist in the US. Now I hope that my insurance in Germany will reimburse that amount fully or at least a part. The treatment was good the price was horrible, not justified by anything, 100 Dollars OK, still well paid, 150 at the most but 244? I know this feedback will not change anything but I just had to get rid of it.

I was very sad to see Martin no longer was working for you; the reason I had always requested him was that he was very gentle during the cleanings. The dental hygenist I had this time I have had before and she is very very rough during the cleaning. I've never seen so much blood after washing out after she was done and the cleaning was actually painful. This has happened every time that I've had her clean my teeth, if there is not an alternative I will likely switch to another dentist as I now fear the pain associated with a cleaning! (Martin was always very gentle and I actually enjoyed the cleanings.) I am sure she is a valuable member of your staff and she is very pleasant, but her hands-on skill needs to be improved.

Overall I did not feel as comfortable this visit as my previous two visits. I guess there was a meeting that everyone was preparing for so I felt as if I was imposing on everyone. I understand that meetings happen in a doctors office but when staff members seem a bit frantic and in a bad mood that's not understanding. This could have been a rare case but I was not comfortable or made to feel as welcome as I had in the past.

You need to reach your younger staff proper manners and etiquette. Some do this insulting childish thing with names, "Mr. Firstname" instead of attaching appropriate titles to my last name. I've earned a doctorate, if we're not on a friendly first name basis, then show me the respect of calling me Dr. LASTNAME. I also worry that my records will be misfired by these newer workers who don't know first from last names. It's happened before.
