It is obvious you are up-to-date regarding medical innovation. I recently heard about the need for women to have a neck guard when having X-rays to prevent thyroid cancer. I asked my hygienist if the office had the neck guard because I needed updated X-rays and your office in fact had the neck guard. I was pleasantly surprised.

My appointment lasted 1.5 hours - too long to be kept from work, for a routine cleaning and x-rays. All my visits have been excessively long, longer than any other dentist I've been to. The doctors are quick and to the point; the hygienists are not, though they are kind, as are the other staff.

I had my teeth cleaned by An-Thanh...the best teeth cleaning I have ever had. She explained very well and gave excellent instructions on flossing and the importance of mouth rinsing at bed time. She has a wonderful disposition and it was a joy to meet her. The front desk staff are both extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in person and on the phone. Dr Greg is genuine,easy to talk with and is very down to earth and friendly...makes you feel at ease and his assistant on my first visit who did the Xrays was very friendly and welcoming. Overall we are so thankful that we have found a great dental facility where the dentists and staff are competent, professional, knowledeable and all of this is presented in such a friendly caring atmosphere.

There was a clear plan for future work that needed to be done and work that was advised by other dentists, that apparantly did not need to be done. My daughter had a very bad bike accident approximately 10 years ago and broke out three of her teeth. We were able to reach Dr. Steve Mayo on a Saturday and she was rushed into his office. For my child who was VERY afraid of the dentist, Dr. Steve Mayo was incredible. He was able to do 2 fillings without anesthesia, other than numbing it locally. Dr. Mayo spoke with Mason in terms that he could understand, giving him enough information and reassurance to get through the procedure quickly and painlessly. Mason is now more interested in his dental health, ie. brushing his teeth twice a day without reminders! and is willing and not afraid to go back to the dentist now. And this last visit was much easier on my wallet than what the "pediatric" dentist would have charged. We recommend the Mayo Family Dentistry to everyone.

I am among the first patients of Mayo Family Dentistry. Dr. Steve has been my Dentist since he arrived in Leesburg and I have seen the practice grow and innovate for over three decades. My children and now some grand children are or have been patients. I have been glad to refer many friends through the years because I know they will receive the best of care and personal attention in an unhurried competent manner. Although I did not arrive with perfect teeth, thanks to Dr. Steve, Dr. Ryan, and Dr. Greg, at sixty-six I still have almost all of my teeth and they are in good repair! Today we may take that result for granted but it wasn't so long ago that many people had lost their teeth by my age. I have had my share of root canals and crowns without major trauma. i have been a patient for the last 6 years. Dr Steve did a lot of extensive work on my teeth. Very gentle and willing to work with you on appointments. Since the boys have joined the practice i find that the environment has improved 100%.The appointments are on time and it really doesn't make any difference which one you see they are all great doctors. I wouldn't go to any other dentist. I have been seeing Dr. Steve Mayo for 29 years. I was skeptical about having Greg or Ryan examine me because I still thought of them as kids. I enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Mayo Family Dentistry. I had long heard of this practise from my friend Wayne Newell, but it was not until I met Dr. Ryan over his Bass Viol at the Kings Court that I knew I wanted him to be my Dentist. I have had two serious procedures performed with skill and (believe it or not) humor. My dental care for life--that is my attitude. As I progress thru the implant "we" are working on, I look forward to my visits. I prefer medical people who are also friends. It increases my confidence and comfort. I am new to the practice and have to say that the initial exam by Dr. Greg Mayo was the most thorough exam I have had by a dentist in my life. He answered all my questions and explained everything. I never felt that he was in a hurry like past experiences I have had with other dentists. My follow-up appointment with the hygienist for teeth cleaning was also a pleasant experience. I will recommend their practice to others.

We have been so happy with the entire staff at Mayo Family Dentistry. Father and sons are all great and the dental hygienists are wonderful. I have always been impressed with the organization of the office. It is evident that patient care is their number one priority!

What can I say about the Mayo practice other than FANTASTIC!! I have never had to wait long for my appointment and the staff and doctors are friendly and kind. I was turned down for continued treatment by a previous dentist that I had been going to for years when my Father recommended that I go to Dr. Stephen Mayo. My Father had been going to the Mayo office for years and he was extremely happy with their work. After several years I finally decided to go see them and I have never been happier with my dentist. I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone in the Leesburg area who is looking for quality dental work provided by kind and patient professionals. I have been seen by Dr Stephen Mayo and both of his sons and they are all excellent doctors. I am quite comfortable with the personable attention pain free care that they give their patients!! I want to thank Dr. Greg and his assistant, Yvonne, for making my visit today very tolerable. I had prepared myself for the smaller procedure, but Dr. Greg talked me through my fear and very gently proceeded with the procedures necessary to fix my broken tooth. To my surprise, he kept his word, and I did not feel a thing. He took his time, cautious of my feelings and finished in a timely manner. I can't say I can't wait to go back, but I will return on a regular basis to maintain good dental health! Marcie Peterson

I live in Winchester but work in Leesburg and decided to find a dentist close to my work. I came to Mayo Family Dentistry on a referral and could not be happier. They always allow me to make early morning appointments and they are very prompt with keeping on schedule. Everyone is very friendly and warm and make you feel at ease. They never pressure you into procedures that would make alot of money for them, as a matter of fact, when I asked about one procedure in particular, I was told that it was not really needed at this time. I would not ever think of leaving Mayo and going back to my dentist in Winchester.

I haven't been going to Mayo Family Dentistry for very long, but am very happy with my experiences so far. The Doctors and the Hygienists have been very personable, yet professional and I have experienced no pain, which is one of the most important factors in choosing and staying with a dentist, long term. I also haven't felt pressured into expensive, long-term, unnecessary treatments, that I have experienced in so many other dental practices. My son just told me the other day that he is a new patient and that he is very happy. I would highly recommend Mayo Family Dentistry to anyone.

I am a 50 year old female that has seen Dr. Steven Mayo since I was 17. I've been to no other dentist or oral surgeon unless Dr. Mayo requested. I'm a major baby when it comes to dental work but Dr. Mayo calms my fears and makes me comfortable about what he's doing. He is patient, funny and absolutely the BEST at what he does. I feel like I am friends with Dr. Mayo's assistant and my hygenist. It's a great place to go for dental care! Everyone makes you feel so at home and you leave knowing that you have been provided the best possible care. Trust me.. I'VE HAD A LOT OR WORK AND MONEY PUT INTO THIS MOUTH OF MINE!! Fran Curtis
