It has been a while since we have been to the office. The office expansion looks super. The new office personnel are are very friendly, helpful and competent. Dr. Wesling has been our doctor for many years and always great. This is why we travel from the South Bay to Lemon Grove for our optical needs.

Dr. Wesling is a very caring, professional optometrist. He took care of my 2 children and I in one afternoon. He is very through, takes time out to explain and answer questions and provides excellent service. We are loyal customers of 6 years since moving to San Diego. Highly recommend him. Unprofessional. This was my 2nd time coming to this office & it was a complete 180 from when I came last yr. I had 2 appts, 1 appt was canceled by the "system" less than a wk prior of my 2 appt bc I didn't confirm the appt. I never rcvd an email, text, or call to confirm appt. The only text I rcvd was a mo prior to my appt as a reminder it was coming up. Who gives a reminder a mo b4 the appt. & in email I received 1 reminder wks b4 appt & the rest were offers/deals/promotions. Nothing to confirm appt. When I called to let them know I would be 10 mins late that's when I was told I don't have an appt. I was looking at my appt card. The lady asked for my insurance info, what does that have to do w/me having an appt? After she told me that it was canceled by the "system" she told me she would call me back to inform me when I received the confirm appt notice. She never called back. She was trying to get me in later that day but I couldn't come in bc I was @ work and I just rescheduled for the following wk. My 2nd appt didn't go any better. I arrived 10 mins early & I sat down after sitting for about 3 mins I was asked for temp check. I gave her my wrist & she asked for my forehead. After she mentioned her sons dentist did it on the wrist, I told her you can do it on the wrist w/the thermometer she took her temp went in the back to inform colleague & never came back out. So if I had questions or concerns I couldn't ask bc she disappeared for a period of time. After 10-15 mins later I was about to put my glasses in my bag & someone came out w/a clipboard & asked if my glasses were prescription I told her yes & she asked to see them I placed on clipboard & she walked away. I thought that to be odd. Came out 7 mins later to tell me only my eye exam would be covered not glasses if I need them and the doctor was 45 mins late. Why wasn't I told that when I 1st arrived? I didn't wait and didn't reschedule. Waste of gas. Unprofessional.

I really like everyone at LG Optometry. Very friendly, professional and efficient. I appreciated the safety precautions taken during this trying time. I still found it very expensive ($1400+) even though I used one of my old frames, but I wouldn't change doctors and I will happily refer Dr. Wesling to my friends. See you at my next appointment. I don't know the name of the person who did the testing, but she deserves equal credit along with Dr. Wesling and Janina. I also want to thank David for getting me set up. He was helpful and stuck with me from the beginning.

I’m beyond irritated with my experience. When I had an appointment on June 30th I felt like the appointment went well until I was sat down with the sales person up front. I was explained some options and told to pick out frames. When I told her I liked my frames she said okay then and we moved on about 10 minutes later when the break down of my bill occurred I asked about using my insurance to cover contact expenses since I didn’t get frames and she said no it’s a use or loose situation with the frames. I get it it’s insurance and not her choice but I felt like it wasn’t explained enough. I quickly looked at frames because why loose out on a free pair and she stated well it’ll be okay it’s only 7-10 days before they come back. I was worried not to have glasses that long as my eyes don’t love constant contacts. My left contact isn’t fitting well and now it’s been 14 business days since I left my glasses. When I called i was told they would check in and give me an update. No call back TWICE. I called again and finally got an update that they won’t be here for another 6 days. At this point I just want my glasses with the old prescription back. I have to go back In for a Contact follow up and would drive anywhere to get these glasses back. I asked for a copy of my prescription and they hesitated. The whole experience was just mind blowing. I won’t order anything through them again. I hope this experience turns around.

Such a great experience! Everyone who works there is so nice and welcoming. I came in with my two toddlers and they were all so helpful and accommodating. I was thoroughly impressed with how nice and professional everyone was at this office. One of my dogs scratched my cornea with her paw and I had no problem getting an appointment the same day. The exam/treatment was thorough & Dr Wesling was extremely kind and put me at ease during the appointment. I felt that the cost was extremely reasonable given I was paying out of pocket. I will skip the eyeglass-factory type establishment next time around & will return to Dr Wesling for my eye exam / prescription glasses needs.

Dear future patients, I can't live without Dr. Wesling and Lemon Grove Optometry - everyone should be so lucky to have a doctor like him! My eyesight began to fail me at age 5. I am extremely nearsighted and have been supplementing my vision with glasses from 5 to 15 years, contacts 15 years and beyond. I am also a native San Diegan so to say I have a wealth of experience with Optometrist's in San Diego is an under-statement. Wednesday, October 2, I was reminded of how fragile our eyesight is and how important Dr. Wesling is to me! For no explainable reason, I woke up with blurred vision in my right eye. I went to work and things got progressively worse. I spoke with Janina, she immediately passed a message to Dr. Wesling who agreed to squeeze me into his schedule given how frightened I was. There are no gruesome details beyond that - all is well with my eye and Dr. Wesling saved the day. Dr. Wesling is patient, thorough, intuitive, extremely knowledgeable, and he listens, providing as much time as needed during appointments to explain my concerns and needs. Lately, I have been experimenting with monovision contacts which is not a straight-forward process. Dr. Wesling has been instrumental in ensuring that the process is a successful one. Add to it, the staff is amazing! I can't say enough about April, Janina and Barbara. Thank you ladies for always making me feel special and well taken care of from the moment I walk through the door. Your friendliness is infectious and I always love catching up. Thank you Dr. Wesling and staff, for all you do. Lemon Grove Optometry is awesome in more ways than one!

I have been seeing Dr. Wesling for 15 years back before they had the beautiful office and lovely staff they have now. And I always look forward to my visits because I know I will be treated kindly and with understanding and that everything will be explained to me beforehand. The service here was wonderful and all of the employees are great. I normally dislike going to the optometrist but Lemon Grove Optometry makes me want to come back for more. The staff were very patient with me when I couldn't decide on glasses. The optometrist was very informative and was not pushy on buying products or services as I have experienced with other optometrists in the past. So to sum it up, I felt very comfortable here and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good Optometry place.

My first visit to Lemon Grove Optometry certainly won't be my last. Everyone was professional as well as caring and friendly. I arrived early, so while I waited for my appointment, I was able to observe the staff's interactions with other clients. I found it quite refreshing, almost like family members even though it was staff and clients. Really nice to see in a business environment. I was given an assortment of tests to evaluate the condition of my eyes. Everything was explained to me as we went along. I really couldn't be happier with the staff and my eye exam. My visit was, by far, my best eye exam ever. The sophistication of the testing done and the expert care I received from Dr Yeghiazarian impressed me. He was able to diagnose something about my eyes and offer such clear explanations for the symptoms I have been experiencing, that I knew I was getting the best care from the smartest people. There was some slight confusion, though. At times it seemed there was an assumption that I already wore glasses (I do not). And, in truth, I was only considering getting reading glasses, but the exam revealed I needed more than mere OTC glasses from a drug store. I left the office a bit shell-shocked from having to pay so much for glasses and lenses--but that is not a critique of the office at all (glasses cost what they cost!). The assistance I received in picking out a frame was wonderful (I am not good at picking out styles of anything!). What impressed me most, I must say, was Dr Yeghiazarian and how much he knows about eyes and eye care, the certainty with which he spoke, the clarity of his explanations to me, and yet he is so young! I felt that I was in the care of a wise, old veteran of optometry!

I was examined and given a prescription by Dr. Ardakani. They were progressive bifocals. The distance vision was fuzzy and unacceptable. I returned after several days and was reexamined by Dr. Wesling. The prescription was slightly altered; the glasses were redone are now perfect. The office is well air-conditioned and the staff is friendly and efficient.

I'm giving this office 5 out of 5. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like family. The lady, I believe Barbara is her name, started my experience. She was very personable and very sweet. Next I went back to the Dr. and I've never had an experience like this. He explained my "eyeballs" lol, to me and made me understand the health of my eyes. He even talked to me about my kids and asked about my weekend. Again making me feel comfortable and welcomed like family. Then, even the lady that helped with picking my glasses and showing me how to use contact was so sweet. Please, if need eye Care, visit this office. Great Doctor and staff. I went into Lens Crafters for one of their deals and their care was less than professional. Also with 40% off they were charging $900.00 for two pear of glasses. My family and I have been coming to Lemon Grove Optometry for over 20 years. Everyone at Lemon Grove Optometry is always so nice and friendly and treats us like you're part of the family. It is because of Dr. Wesling's that my now 11 year old is able to see. My son was on the verge of losing his eye sight. When Dr. Wesling saw he was no longer able to able to help my son, he referred us to his pediatric eye surgeon, who performed muscle eye realignment on my then 8 year old son. Had Dr. Wesling not made the decision to refer our son to the pediatric surgeon, my son would not have sight today. I have and will continue to refer anyone who needs an Optometrist to Lemon Grove Optometry. I'd give a 10 star rating if I could. My family and I cannot thank Dr. Wesling and his team enough for the amazing and stellar service they provided and continue to provide my family and I. We are forever grateful. My first visit and I will definitely be back! I was recommended to Dr. Wesling's office by Linda Young. She makes perception dive masks for scuba divers as well as makes glasses for kids. She said he's the best and has excellently maintained equipment. And she was right. And he was very pleasant and friendly as were his entire staff. The price for the exam was very reasonable, too (actually quite surprised as the level of service was top notch).

What a great place! Honestly, I've been going here forever because of my parents I hadn't ever considered anywhere else. After this Tuesday I have a great reason why not to ever look anywhere else. I had a mixup moving out of college and left my glasses and spare contacts with a roommate's stuff. I hadn't realized until I tossed out my contacts on memorial day to find I had no replacements. I called the office as soon as I could the next day and was able to make it in at noon that same day to have an exam and order a new years worth of contacts, and was able to walk out wearing a pair. I hadn't expected things would go so well, thanks to everyone in the office for taking care of me.

The only thing I would suggest changing perhaps is the billing - I thought it was an office visit - instead I am billed for an office visit PLUS refraction PLUS contact lens fitting. I was only there for an hour - that seemed like a lot to me for one hour and I was surprised to be billed for three separate things when I thought I was just there for an office visit. That needs to be clarified BEFORE someone gets to their appointment as well as prior to getting all done and paying (I didn't take a close look at my bill until I got home). The appointment ended up costing me more than I thought and more than the estimate that was given to me on the phone when I made the appointment. Other than that (which is a big thing) I do LOVE this office. The doctor knows his stuff, is always on time for appointments, always professional, always caring, and always friendly.

From the minute I walked in the door, the staff greeted me and promptly began the appointment. The exam was clearly explained and very thoroughly performed. After the exam, my options for eye wear were presented with no pressure. Staff explained insurance and coverage so it was costs of exam and glasses was understood. Highly recommended.

VERY impressed with Dr. Wesling and staff. He kindly and thoroughly explained every procedure and result. His staff was a big help in finding the best frames for my face and patiently explained the lens options and cost differences w/o ever pressuring me in any way to buy frames from their office. They also took the initiative to find out if my insurance would cover part of the exam and glasses even after I told them Health Net said it would only be covered in an accident. Turns out the Health Net rep I talked to was wrong and I did in fact have coverage. I have already recommended Dr. Wesling to family and friends. Even though his office is 30 min. from my home, the overall experience and customized service makes it well worth the drive.

In the handful of eye exams I have had Dr. Wesling was the best. He was very good at explaining the issues that I have been experiencing with my eyes and I can't wait to get my new glasses. Service is always excellent! Even if I don't come for a year or 2 I'm always greeted like a V.I.P. They're always upgrading to the latest technology, but rates remain affordable. Staff stayed past closing time to help me select new glasses. A+ business with A+ staff and service.

The front office team is great!!! They pass out free smiles to all who enter and are eager to assist patients with selecting frames and preparing to see the Doc. They are also very good at explaining insurance coverage.
