We just love Dr. Bates and her staff! We ask a lot of questions about our son's care and she enthusiastically answers them and is incredibly sensitive to our need to know about treatment alternatives. We appreciate her willingness to design a treatment plan for our son and his disposition and temperament, as opposed to cookie-cutter care. Every parent believes her child is special. Dr. Bates makes us think she thinks that, too. We just love the personal care she gives Nick. And her joyful, professional attitude. Thank you so much for doing children's dentistry this way. It is working because my son LOVES GOING TO THE DENTIST!

What a super staff! They understand how to make kids feel comfortable and encourage dental care. They are even great with resistant children and those with sensory differences. It's a fun setting too with fish tank & TVs in the ceiling. But it's the caring people that make it so exceptional.

I love this dentist office. Appointments are always on time. The staff is professional and friendly. Dr. Bates is extremely knowledgeable and kid friendly. They fall short of 5 stars because they do not offer an extended day or half day Saturday appointments once a month for working parents of multiple kids who cannot miss work for numerous appointments.

Our dental hygienist was excellent! This was our daughter’s first appointment to the dentist and she did a GREAT job letting her get comfortable with the situation. They have lots of tactics to help the little ones adjustment- stuffed animals with teeth that they get to practice brushing while the doctor works on theirs, singing songs to them, TVs on the ceiling, etc. Thank you!!

This was my daughter's first time taking x-rays and they made it such a great experience. She got to pick which cover to wear and was told to pretend she was biting on a cookie while she held the bite piece in plate (so creative). Very pleasant experience, highly recommend.

5 Excellent Service. The staff is great with children especially those that are not that excited about being in a dentist chair! My 3 yr old had dental pictures taken for the first time. The hygienist was very patient and determined to get the correct angle without irritating my child. I feel that I can trust the staff as they go out of their way to get the job done right!

When time for payment, my child's insurance coverage was incorrect at the time, but front staff seemed unsure and undecided as to what my other options were. I would've felt more comfortable knowing that the staff was more confident in the information that was provided to me.

Dr. Bates and the dental hygenists are so wonderful. They do a great job cleaning my son's teeth and are so patient with the crying. They do try and make it a really great experience, but a two year old is pretty much guaranteed to cry anyway. We all leave very happy though and they always give my son a little toy.

Every time I have taken her here the entire staff is using a vast array of tools to overcome her behavior and communication issues. Even when he was warned of the early signs of cavities due to his inconsistent flossing, instead of being scared, he listened attentively and has since begun flossing with me (Mom) telling him too. Positive comments: We are very happy with the lobby ammenties. While waiting, the kids are able to enjoy themselves and keep busy with the books, toys, fish tank, and television. The lobby is always very clean and tidy. Our daughter looks forward to her "goodie" bag with all the dental supplies and her token for the toy machine. The books in the dental area are great when bringing in multiple kids for an appointment. This definitely keeps them busy and engaged. The Dental staff is always warm, polite, and very friendly...one of the main reasons why we continue to visit.

This was Dillon's very first time at the dentist. The team was AWESOME!! Dillon was made to feel very comfortable. The hygenist explained everything she was going to do and my son was so at ease. Dillon is 4 and was accompanied by his little brother who is 2. His brother saw how much "fun" Dillon was having and wanted to get his teeth checked as well. Great job!

I hesitate to write a good review because Dr. Bates is so great its hard to book a six month appointment. She's worth it. I can also say my son complained of a toothache on Monday, I called and they were able to schedule him the same day or 8:00 am the next morning. She is fabulous, caring and professional.

I adore this children's Dental practice. The staff are kind, knowledeable, and very professional. My daughter loved her experience and was treated so well during her visit. I'm so grateful that my co worker told me about this office and I in turn will share with others too!

Carol did a FABULOUS job cleaning my son's teeth and removing the hard to clean stains on his teeth. She was gentle and explained everything to me as the mom. She even asked me if I she got everything and if I still saw stains. When I pointed areas that still had slight staining she continued to remove the stains until I was satisfied. She didn't seem annoyed by me pointing out areas that I wasn't 100% satisfied with (and I'm super picky), which I really appreciated!

We had an amazing visit. My daughter, she is 6yrs old, was having a tooth pulled at this visit and Dr. Bates made the experience so warm and inviting that my daughter thought it was a great visit. She completely put my daughter at ease, explained what was going to happen in terms that she could understand and keep all of the frightening instruments completely out of view. She engaged my daughter in the process and made her feel like a helper, instead of something being done to her that she could not control. It was a huge moment for my daughter and she left feeling brave and excited, not sad or scared. I love this pediatric dentist!

5 Rating!! My son was 4 when we started visiting Dr. Bates. His previous dentist was not able to ease my son's anxiety of tools in his mouth. Upon the very 1st visit with Dr. Bates to do a crown on my son's molar(which requires local anesthia), she knew EXACTLY what to do to ease my son & he immediately relaxed & trusted hr. She used the most perfect comforting tone in her voice with him. Dr. Bates continually smiled, laughed & talked with my son communicating to him everthing she was performing - and this made him feel important & valued. My daughter has had severe dental issues since age 3. We had gone through two different dentists and struggled to find a good fit. Dr. Bates was recommended to us by a friend and we have been happy ever since! We are going on three years with Dr. Bates. We love everything about her practice. She has an outstanding staff, my daughter loves her (as in she can't wait to go back!) and they have really helped us with payment plans when our insurance didn't cover a procedure. Love her and would highly recommend her to anyone. We are so glad to have found her!

This place amazes me time and time again! Our previous pediatric dentist was a complete nightmare and since we've been coming to Dr. Bates, my daughter actually looks forward to dentist visits. The staff is professional and very kid friendly. The office itself is a kids dream and very clean. You are very punctual and respectful of my time. I love how you use kid friendly terms as not to frighten us with all of the dental procedure talk. I leave feeling very knowledgeable about my options. It speaks volumes that my daughter has had 2 extractions and still looks forward to visits. I can not say enough how pleased and grateful I am with Dr. Bates and her staff.

I enjoy visiting with my son. I appreciate the connection that the staff makes with the children during the procedures to ensure that they are calm and that they understand each step of the dental process that is being performed. I really enjoy that the dentists (Dr. Bates and Dr. Soberano) truly remember their patients every 6 months. They communicate well with one another about each patient so even if one is on vacation, your child doesn't miss a beat. Everyone in the office from the front desk, to the dental assistants, to the dentists, to the office manager are always friendly and a pleasure to do business with. I get excited because my son, Jaiden gets really excited about going to his dental appointments. I rate this office a 5 star!!!

We've been going to Dr. Bates' for the past two years. However, we spent this past year overseas. Upon arrival we called for an appointment and asked to be seen within a week of our call; Two days later, someone had cancelled and we received the phone call to confirm our appointment. Once there, the service was perfect; it was as if we had never left. From the assistants, to the hygienist to the Doctor, we were well received and my son did not even worry as he normally does each time we have doctors' visits. Check out was great and of course, my sos favorite, the coin he gets in the goody bag....That was the greatest idea. Thank you to the entire team.

I was unable to bring my daughter to her first dental visit when she turned one, but at her two year old visit I was pleasantly surprised! Everything is catered to making the little ones comfortable and keeping a smile on their faces. I had no idea what could be in my daughter's "treat" bag to take home after her cleaning and exam. I was hoping it wasn't candy ~ and it wasn't. Dr. Bates gives a "gold" coin to the children to choose a small trinket of sorts for being a good patient (not to mention the usual toothbrush and toothpaste). And if anything is too small for your child you have the option to exchange the coin for a sticker. AWESOME!! I highly recommend!

She took the time to explain to us what she was doing, techniques to use for better dental hygiene and ways to make brushing a little easier. I was not satisfied with my visit because althought the staff was exceptionally nice as well as the atmosphere. The cleaning was poor. The cleaning for my twins took about 5 min each and not at all thorough. They r just 2 but I had to hold them down not appliance to keep there mouths open,a pediatric dentist should have a better plan. Finally $300 for 2 babies,30 min visit without X-rays was ridiculous.

My son has been going to this office for about a year and a half. I can't say he enjoys dentist visits in general, but this office offers everything it can to make dentist visits as easy as possible for the little ones. They have TVs on the ceiling to watch while getting the teeth clean and they give tokens to put in the 'prize machine' to get a prize on the way out. I sat next to my son while he got his teeth cleaned to encourage him and the technician and then dentist did a thorough cleaning and final check without causing any pain to my child. He was antsy most of the time, but they were very patient with him. Definitely recommend this office for little one because they cater specifically to their needs.

I would give the office of Dr. Bates a 5!! My kids and I have a wonderful experience from the time we walk into the door until we are leaving out of the door. Everyone gives great customer service from the front desk, dental assistants and Dr. Bates herself! All of them have made such a large impact on my kids experiences with going to the "Dentist". Although my 2.5 year old cried through her second teeth cleaning, we do like the offiice and staff very much. The waiting room offers a fun environment for kids to relax before their appt. The area where they clean the kids teeth is also fun. Love the addition of TV's above the chairs to distract the kids. Staff is very friendly and the hygienist, Kathy, is very patient with my daughter and tries everything to help her gain confidence in the chair and during her cleaning. They are efficient and thorough.

I've never been to a dental office that was so welcoming & fitting for kids. For the first time ever I enjoyed my visit to the dentist. Most kids dental offices just say they service kids but this one actually shows it with fun furnishings, flat screens in the right places, books, and a friendly staff. This dental office rocks!

I felt very comfortable at the office. Everyone took their time with my family and two year old son, helping to ensure he was comfortable with his first visit to the dentist. Dr. Bates and her hygienist took their time to explain what they were doing to both my son and I as they were doing it and allowed him to get comfortable with all that they were doing. An overall good experience and we will be back in six months for the next checkup.

The office is bright, clean and family friendly. I never have to wait more than two minutes for my crew to be seen. Dentist and hygienists are thorough in answering questions. Highly recommend

Children are the most delicate, and in some ways, a rather challenging customer segment to handle; and this office, with their notably caring approach, sets an example for how this can be accomplished with high marks!

My daughter and I have really enjoyed the dental experience at Pediatric Dentristry at Vinings. Dr. Bates and her staff are very courteous and professional. More importantly they have created an environment for children that is not intimidating. There are several televisions broadcasting children's shows and games for the kids to engage in. On my daughter's last visit she had a tooth extracted and was experiencing some the normal pain associated with this type of procedure. I contacted the office for help and Dr. Bates personally spoke with my daughter and explained that what she was going through was normal and that she would be okay. I was really greatful for her going the extra mile to comfort my daughter. I would highly recommend their dental services.

The staffs decision to schedule her after her big sister was instrumental in having a remarkable 1st visit. As always the staff and Dr Baites are wonderful with children and very personable. I would like to think the dentist and the assistant for their exteme patience and understanding. While he has been to the dentist numerous times prior without incident, he had a meltdown of epic proportions this visit. Both the dentist and the assistant handle the situation well and never made me feel uncomfortable for having a difficult child on my hands. We were able to get the appointment on track and for him to become comfortable enough during the appointment to help out the dentist. He walked away happy and proud of himself which I think will help frame his views of future appointments. Thank you!

My daughter enjoys coming there and went straight to the restroom to see how good her teeth looked. She especially likes getting the coin at the end and getting a prize out of the machine.
