My husband and I arrived at Clarion and checked in. It took about a minute and we were in the back starting our eye exams. The doctor's assistant took us both at the same time, amazing! She was very nice, very professional and got us finished. We were ready to see the doctor and he was there to treat us in a matter of minutes. The doctor was very nice, very courteous and very professional. He explained to us what was going on in terms we could easily understand. We have been going to Clarion for a few years and will never go anywhere else. This Clarion office is awesome!

My appointment was rescheduled 2 times. Both My husband and me were seen the same day. The Dr. showed great irritation when my husband told him we used online products and not purchasing from the practice. We are on social security and on a fixed income! Then came my visit, there was a disagreement about my previous treatment with a retina specialist which I didn't appreciate. I was told that I wasn't treated and the supplement did nothing!! The Dr was going on my lay mans information what the previous specialist treated. I actually had a detachment, cyst hole in the right eye among other things. At the end of my appointment I was told that my primary care Dr would follow me, I asked what that does that mean and he repeated himself with no explanation and left the room. The next day I received a call telling me I was receiving a referral for ophthalmology. I do not believe we will be returning to this practice!

I was very happy with this appointment. The doctor was very thorough and answered all of my questions. The tech was very patient, professional and honest about my questions regarding glasses, fit and costs. I did have to correct the cost at checkout to avoid overpayment. I would like to see better prices for glasses "out the door", especially since "I have insurance". These were a better value than my last visit-I hope they work as expected.

I’ve been wearing glasses for years and I never had such a great appointment. Dr Chen was informative and explained all the problems going on with my eyes. The dr took her time to explain things to me and answered all my questions without getting impatient. She went above and beyond what she was required to do for me, and I don’t want to go to anyone else for now on. As for the staff, they were very welcoming and warm. I felt relaxed and they went over everything with me and made sure to answer any questions I may of had. I never felt rushed or like a herd of cattle like most places. Overall my visit with them was exceptional, and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Everything was great! My only issue was dilation of my eyes. I would have paid for the other procedure, had I known amount of time to recovery. I had a difficult time driving home. Otherwise, I was extremely happy with the doctor's knowledge, personality, and the way she took time for the exam, and explained everything.

The exam I had was one of the best ever. The techs were all wonderful and know their stuff. Dr. Huang was very thorough and explained what he could do to help me with my extremely poor vision. Terrible service from the very beginning bad workmanship, they fixed them twice and was still wrong ... on the perscription, & no transistion from daylight to sun protection ordered and paid for my glasses on Febuary 25,2022 and still as of this date April 08,2022 don't have my glasses due to there errors. This company used to be Patterson and has changed hands to Clarion Optometry Group, Prof,Corp. I used Patterson for my eye needs for at least 10+ years with no problem this is the first time I have used this Clarion Corp . and the last .

Everything was absolutely awesome til it came time to pick frames out. I picked a pair because they were only $119 or so but when they were writing them up the lady said it had the wrong price sticker wrapped around the arm and went to get I guess the correct price. Price jumped up over $100 more! By that time I was about to be late for another appointment so I didn't have time to really look for another pair. My experience with Clarion was excellent. The front-office staff was very kind, knowledgeable, and courteous. Dr. Schwalb was very thorough and knowledgeable and fitted my contacts perfectly. Not happy with the way my glasses turned out. I ordered my lenses a certain way. The lenses came back minus the anti glare. When I complained and said I didn’t like them and it wasn’t why I ordered I was told you didn’t get charged for the anti glare and you didn’t pay for it. I replied I wanted it and I would’ve paid for it since it was an option I requested. I was made to feel like it was my fault

Highly recommended. I have been obtaining my vision care from Clarion for several years. They provide comprehensive care, accept multiple insurance plans, and are partnered with Desert Eye Associates, for ophthalmologist referrals. The optometrist professional staff turns over frequently, but they maintain good records, so I don't see a problem with lack of provider continuity.

I chose to change optometrists because I've never felt confident in the old one, and I have friends who use Clarion and are pleased. So am I. Lauren Schwalb is comfortable to be around; professional and warm. I had not experienced the optometric instrumentation previously that Clarion has. I was diagnosed with macular degeneration and a new Rx (hadn't had a new Rx in 3 years). She suggested more testing for the MD, told me the cost which I agreed to (and not as bad as I had expected--$65), and upon leaving I found out that my insurance covered the cost. Lauren gave me the information I needed and spent all the time I needed for questions and testing. I highly recommend!

The doctor was fabulous- explained each phase of exam and answered questions. The lady who fitted my glasses was fabulous also and very patient. Why wasn't she allowed to take my check? BUT, the four behind the window were unprofessional, made me feel as though they would rather I leave, and didn't even provide shades after dilation-I had to come back in and ask for them after nearly burning my eyes-REALLY!

Exam process was good and doctor was nice. After the appointment the doctor told me to wait while he called in my prescription. I waited 20 minutes and finally asked at the front desk where my prescription was - both for my glasses and for medication I needed to pick up. The response was they asked if I had an appointment and if I even seen a doctor. I said yes - you actually brought me back. I waited a bit longer then finally someone gave me the eye glass prescription but not the info for the medication I was to pick up. I asked and they said someone would call me. It's been 3 days and no one has called. I had to call in to inquire about my prescription so I could get glasses. They informed me I'd need to get one more test for $10 in order to get a prescription elsewhere or online. I"m not sure why they didn't inform me of that when I was there. When I was there no one offered to help me pick out glasses, order glasses, or anything related to using the prescription they gave me. They have a lot of glasses but you can't touch them due to covid. Overall I won't go back unless it's an emergency.

I really appreciate the team for being accommodating when I arrived. I had a strong prescription that was straining my eyes. They gave me an RX check and found that it was stronger on one eye. I'm only giving it 3 stars because they had scheduled me to see the doctor I normally go to which his availability was Friday and I ended up seeing a different doctor all together. I know I was running a little late and I did call ahead of time. I wouldn't have minded waiting. I was mostly disappointed that I could not receive credit for the glasses I paid originally that costed more than the ones I had to replace. The main reason this is happening was because I followed the advice from one of the opticians (not sure of the exact title, but person who helps with glasses) saying that the brand of glasses would be accommodating to my face and I was all in after that recommendation because it was different and new and I had my mask on so it felt fine then. In the end after wearing the pair for the day it really was not. On my revisit I explained how uncomfortable the glasses were. It was sitting so close to my face that my lashes are hitting the lenses. I addressed my concerns and after that they told me they could not attach any form of nosepad nor solder for it to form onto my face better and in turn I was forced to pick another pair of glasses that were there. On my first glasses pickup I requested for my prescription via e-mail not once but twice and never was sent. I usually have a good experience there and I was highly dissatisfied this time.

The ear piece on my glasses broke. I was planning on getting new glasses but had to wait until June because of my insurance. The technician went above and beyond to help me. She spent quite a bit of time trying extra ear pieces they had in back until she found one that would work.

I was referred to these doctors by the VA for my prescription lenses, was able to get contacts in addition, but on my own since the VA does like those. they helped me get the best prescription i needed and contacts that are the most comfortable I've ever had especially for the dry desert heat that is California. Truly regrettable front office staff, management. I believe range cattle receive better treatment in a feedlot en route to slaughter. Nonetheless the eye care professional acquitted himself--can't recall a name for all the herding--with as much grace as helpful deconstruction of my scans/imagery, up to the state of my vision.

The doctor had told me to have one of his technicians adjust my frames. The technician said she couldn’t because there was no nose pads. I took my frames to Walmart Optical and they were able to adjust them. It’s time for me to find a new optometry group that cares about their customers.

The facility was clean and a bit sterile. The eye tech, although knowledgeable was a bit mechanical and canned in her approach (as if she says the same things to the clients all day long - unfortunately not personal or fresh). The eye doc was pleasant. My best experience is with the young lady who helped me find my glasses. She was excellent. Kudos to her for making the visit pleasant.

I've been seeing Dr. Lohman for years; he's so thorough and kind. Also, I want to extend a 5 Star rating to Dottie, who went above and beyond when dealing with problem associated with my prescription drops to be refilled via military pharmacy. Most recently, I went in to have someone verify that the prescription in my newest pr. of sunglasses (which I purchased elsewhere) was in fact the correct prescription that Dr. Lohman gave me. "Aileen" (not sure of spelling-pronounced A-leen) was the optician that helped me. She was fantastic and so thorough in her assessment; I left happy and confident that my glasses are just what the doctor ordered. I pray Dr. Lohman outlives me. He's a great optometrist!
