Dr. Laurence Wong: Best Eye Doctor in Katy — Nina Y.
I have been going to Dr. Wong for about 8 or 9 years now and he is the best optometrist I have seen anywhere in Katy, Houston, or Austin. I really appreciate that he takes the time to get to know his patients and make them feel comfortable and welcome when they return. Not only does he do a great job with the professional side of his work by making sure you understand the procedures he will perform and the condition of your vision but he also does a great job with the personal side. He gets to know you and your family and actually remembers what you told him and likes to check up on them too and make sure they are doing well in their lives. I would highly recommend that you and your family make Dr. Laurence Wong your primary eye care physician, you won't be disappointed.

The doctor was very thourough in his care and took the time needed to explain my vision problems/ needs effectively. Would definately recommend. 5 stars!!!

One of the best things about Dr. Wong is after concluding your appointment he immediately gives you a copy of your prescription without having to ask for it. He's not insecure and is not concerned with whether or not you will buy glasses or contacts from him. Most optometrists scoff at having to give you a choice. He never tries to up sell with unnecessary procedures either. He is very thorough in explaining what's going on with your eyesight. We were lucky to have found him.

As a senior citizen with a recent serious illness I was concerned with the effect and my eyes and the cost. I was treated honestly and respectfully, and not only received a good report medically, I left with my existing glasses for another year, and my wallet intact.

The office staff is friendly and welcoming. They always smile and greet you when you walk in. They take the time to explain your insurance and payment beforehand. The office is clean and calming. Almost feels like a spa. Dr. Wong is nice and informative. He takes time to listen to concerns and answer questions. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment. I always have a great experience.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Wong for the past 10 years or so. I was thrilled when he opened his own practice so we didn't have to deal with the hassles of a big chain and long wait times. Every time I go it, it's such a pleasant experience. He really knows his stuff. I once went to another optometrist when he was switching offices, and they couldn't even get my prescription right! (I have pretty complicated vision). He stays on top of all the newest eye care and contact lenses and does an amazing job of recommending changes to improve my eye health and vision. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone in the entire world. You will not ever regret going to Dr. Wong or his wife! They truly care and are wonderful people.

He made a call for me to see a doctor whom had done a previous eye surgery on me because my eye pressure was extremely high when I went in to see him. He was extremely concerned with my situation and now that I've seen my other doctor can now go see Dr. Wong again. With all that I've been through I would highly recommend Dr. Wong.

Dr. Laurence Wong stands out as a rare exception in that he is willing to listen to my problems, even if they are not what can be found in a textbook. He always does research and is able to describe my options and recommend new ones.

Dr. Wong takes the time to talk and explain what he is doing during the exam. He also asks if there are any questions and will answer thoroughly. Overall good experience and will continue to have my eyes and my family attend Vision One.

Kathryn "sold" me on my selection of Dr. Wong and I am really glad that she did. Dr. Wong took his time with me and made me feel like an important person and not a "number". Great service!! I really appreciated that Dr. Wong took his time to thoroughly evaluate me. I have had issues wearing contacts and he listened to my feedback and we went through several samples trying to find the perfect pair. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find contacts that I could wear comfortably but I was very pleased that he cared enough to try to help me find a solution.
