These guys are awesome. Their office is clean and modern. They can preform all dental procedures to the cutting edge of technology. I went in had a root canal, and permanent crown done all in the same appointment. They thoroughly explain everything from a dental point of view and financial The are very polite, helpful, and courteous. They will never turn you away in an emergency either.

I was expecting Kristin to be my hygenist (as stated on my appointment card) but got a temp instead. The cleaning took only 10 minutes (I watched the clock). All of the cleanings I've had previously took at least 45 minutes. I don't feel that the cleaning was adequate based on past experiences.

All crowns are milled at the same office and in most situations can be installed the same day also. I was very impressed with their detailed explanations of the procedures all the way to their billing processes.

Going to the dentist is a scary thing for many people and not having the right office can make it worse. But this office right here? They do it right. As a new patient they are quick to get the ball rolling with paperwork before you even step into the office to save time. And then once you get there you are given a tour of the office and a feel for the professional nature of the office. I was satisfied with my initial visit and would not hesitate to refer friends and family.

First I want to say that I have NEVER had an unpleasant experience since I have been a patient (1987). On Nov.26 I had a male sub hygenist. I can't remember his name. He performed the ultrasonic (may not be correct name) on my gums/teeth and at first I thought it wasn't that bad but then it increasingly got pretty uncomfortable. I asked him if that was something new and he said no. I am wondering why that was done since I am always told by the dentist that my teeth/gums are in great shape. When he got to the cleaning part,that, too, was pretty uncomfortable. He seemed pretty rough with the instrument whan he was scraping around the gums and in between the teeth. I would have said something when I was checking out at the front desk but I needed to be somewhere and didn't have time. I know that I could have stopped him at any time and told him to be more gentle when he was scraping but I thought it would get better. I wouldn't use him as a sub again if you have a choice.

I had a crown fall out during the evening and called to schedule an appointment to have it fixed. Please keep in mind, this is not my regular dentist, but I had heard great things about them from pervious clients of theirs. I left a message hoping I would be able to see them the next day at some point when they could fit me in for the visit. The next morning, I received a call shortly after they opened (7:15am) to schedule my visit at 8:30am. My entire experience from start to finish was absolutely exquisite. The friendly staff, explained everything throughly and my crown was fixed wonderfully. At the end of my visit I made sure to schedule my next visit, my routine cleaning, as they are now my regular dentist. If you are looking for a dentist or change dentists, I highly recommend Wainright & Wassel DDS as I can assure you, you will be glad you came to them. S.L.

My oldest daughter began with this practice as a toddler because her father was a long-time patient. We have since moved from the area, but still travel almost an hour to get here because these guys are that worth it. I have since become a patient at this practice as well. We both see different dentists within the practice, but both have exceptional care from all levels of staff and the dentists themselves. A perfect example is what happened at our appointment yesterday (Halloween). My daughter purchased vampire fangs from a local discount store that required an epoxy (included in the package) to be applied to the teeth. I was concerned about the safety of such an epoxy and wanted the dentist's opinion. While he deemed the epoxy as safe enough, he decided that it would be easier for her if they used the resin they use in the office to make dental molds because the fangs would then be fitted specifically for her teeth and she could attach and remove them whenever she wanted. So, after about a 10 minute "fitting" she had custom vampire fangs -- at no extra charge! I know of very few professionals who would take time out of their day to help a patient with a Halloween costume. These guys go above and beyond for their patients!

When I first relocated here I returned to Canada to get my dental work done even though I had to pay out of pocket as my insurance didn't cover it, I was that reluctant to change dentists...it finally became inconvenient enough to force me to find a dentist down here & I am so happy with Wainwright & Wassel...just as good as the dental office I used to drive 14 hours for!

I have always hated going to see the "DENTIST", every experience has been like going to a funeral setting up. I have always, I repeat, hated, hated, hated it. However, Dr. Bruce treated me like a person not a dental specimen. He looked into my eyes when he spoke to me, he smiled, he spoke to me directly and explained everything in the utmost understanding. Then afterwards, dealing with "The Financials" portion of the dentist experience can be like a horror movie. However, Ms. Debbie Harrell was the Dentist office "Angel". She explained all in such a complete clarity that a two year old would have understood, and so very helpful. The office is clean in its appearance and child friendly, it was almost like hanging out with the relatives. The experience at "THE DENTIST'S" was phenomenal.

The doctor (the dad) is only limited to do his job and that is OK for me, but still it does not help me to relieve a little of the anxiety I get and it feels worse for me because he only talks to the assistant (perhaps he does not like gaggers too, I can understand.)

This visit went just like all my others, excellent! They really try to make what most people think of as the most unpleasant thing, and pull you through it with as much comfortable ease as they can. Used to have a huge dental phobia, but not anymore. I usually just see Christine, Janise, and Dr Matt Wassel, who are all fantastic, but with the extensively large amount of dental work I've had done, I've been helped by almost everyone there and have not met anyone I didn't like. The front office are just as friendly and greet me by name and a smile before I get through the door. So thanks to all of you for making me feel welcome, and not just another patient with a number on my back, just passing through. I wouldn't change a thing!

I'm always impressed with everyone at Wainright & Wassel, DDS. Even though I only visit every six months, the office staff always says my name as soon as I walk in and approach the reception desk. The hygienist do a thorough job cleaning my teeth and educating me on best practices based on their observations. I'm impressed how they remember and mention things I've shared about my family or other activities during prior visits. Likewise, Dr. Wassel is very personable and takes the time to help me understand my dental health and any corrective or preventative procedures. I've been visiting Dr Wainright & Wassel's office every 6 months for 20 years and have always been pleased. Not only do they do excellent work, but they don't pressure you into procedures that can wait. They explain what needs to be done now and what can wait and tell you why. That's a glorious trait when you're on a budget. Their honesty is as valuable to me as their skill is. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how personable, skilled, & gentle their hygienists are. They're almost as big a factor as the Doctors are in my family remaining with this practice for 20 years.

Today I had Jessica as my hygienest. She was very friendly and pleasant and did a great cleaning. While she did a great cleaning I watched ESPN on the flat screen in the room I was in. I love the flat screens in the patient rooms. I did not get a chance to speak to Debbie (the one from Florida) at the front this visit, but she is always such a joy to talk with when I do. Dr. Wainwright (the younger one) is always such a professional as well and is my primary dentist.

My only complaint is that I had a lot of discomfort with my tongue, making eating very uncomfortable and just moving my tongue uncomfortable until I went to brush my teeth before bed and found a tubular piece of cotton wedged in my mouth between my tongue and my jaw! Once it was removed, my tongue felt fine and I have had no further discomfort. All the time, I thought that my tongue or that side of my mouth had been bruised. My bite is excellent.

Dr. Wainwright has been my family dentist since I was 12 years old. I'm sure my parents must have been some of his first patients when he moved to Raleigh. I now have a family of my own, a daughter who is 17 years old and a husband who also are patients of Dr. Waniwright's. I feel as if Dr. Wainwright is member of my family. I have recommended many friends and co-workers to him over the years. I can truly say I have never felt any pain from any procdure Dr. Wainwright has performed on me. This includes having two wisdom teeth extracted! His staff is very professional and friendly. They stay informed and educated in current procedures and technology. Yet they always take the right amount time with you to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Estimates and insurance claims are always filed and delivered in a timely manner. I can not imagine going any where else for my dental care. In a world where there is very little customer service, Dr. Wainwright and his staff are great examples of perfect customer service.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at Wainright and Wassel. I recently had to have an implant and was worried about the pain and swelling associated with that. Dr. Mark assured me it would most likely be less painful than the tooth that had been pulled. He was right! It was a piece of cake! I was given great care throughout the whole process and the entire staff was pleasant to work with, making me feel comfortable at all times. Also, this was a big expense, even with insurance, and the office staff was able to work with me to make this a less painful financial burden as well. The dental hygenist are the best I have ever been to. Dr. Wassel is definitely the BEST dentist I have ever been to, and I spent 20 years in the military and none of the dentist I went to while in service can hold a candle to him. I will continue to come to the dental office because they REALLY Care about the patient and are extremely great at what they do. I've been seeing Dr. Wainright since 1978. That's over 30 years so I think that says a lot about the quality of care that this office gives. The office is always ahead of the learning curve, having new options available long before many others. I was watching THE DOCTORS on tv the latter part of 2010 and they were discussing the "new" art of dentists making crowns in the office while you wait. I had to laugh - Dr. Wainright made a crown for me several years before that. Everyone there cares and it shows in their work. Professionalism is a top priority but they make every procedure as fun and pain free as possible. They have always been available for emergencies, worked with me to make me comfortable in the chair after 2 cervical disk surgeries, been patient with me when I had to see them after TMJ surgery. I feel like part of their family after all this time. I even get to watch the tv shows I want to watch. You won't find me in any other dentist's office.

I was referred to Dr. Wainright three years ago by a family member, I had to have two extractions and the moment I walked into the door I was greeted by wonderful friendly people. My procedure went well and I was well taken care of. I did how ever have to come back the next day but Dr. Wainright and his staff got me back immediately and took care of me with out question. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and every one talks to you and makes you feel very special, I think that the hours of business are great and I am pleased with the financial options they provide. I like the way that they try every thing they can to help you financially to get any procedures done that you may need. I am so glad that I was referred to Dr. Wainright and I will plan to continue to go to him as my primary dentist. Any thing that I have had done in his office by his staff or Dr.Wainright has been 100% satisfaction ;0)

I've been a patient of Dr. Wassel since 2006 and have no desire to change. The service is excellent, as is the quality of work. Their office hours are perfect for my busy schedule, enabling 7am appointments. I also believe they are ahead of the times in regards to procedures, equipment, and connectivity. (It's refreshing getting appointment notifications to my Blackberry!)

The office is cheerful and very accommodating to anyone in the reception area. They give you a reminder that your appointment is coming up. Always helpful with questions or issues you might have. Myself and entire family have been patients of Wainright and Wassell and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff. Everyone is always so friendly and personable. Whenver I come into the office they call me by my name and always great me and my family with a smile. Mark is fabulous, very knowledgable and appears to really enjoy what he does. He also has a very nice bedside manner because I am afraid of going to the dentist he always tries to make me comfortable and really cares about his patients. I have nothing but good experiences as a patient of Wainright and Wassel and will continue to schedule appointments with them.

Dr. Wainright truly cares about his patients. He encouraged me to seek help for my jaw pain which eventually led to me getting braces and having jaw surgery. He took extra time to hear my difficulties when I was dealing with insurance. He even wrote a letter to my insurance company which finally persuaded them to approve my jaw surgery. The office staff is friendly and personable. Even though I have moved further away since I first started seeing Dr. Wainright 11 years ago, I still come here because I feel that I am getting the best care from people who really care about me.

I absolutely love the staff and dentists at Wainright and Wassel DDS. No one particularly likes going to the dentist, in fact, most people dread it. The staff at Wainright and Wassel and very outgoing and friendly and they make you feel comfortable even when you are about to get a filling or other uncomfortable procedure. I would definitely recommend this office as your dentist because they take the stress out of going to the dentist and make you feel at ease your entire visit. The hours of the business are great too so its convenient to get into the dentist first thing before work. The staff is caring and very knowledgeable. Since choosing this office as my dentist, I no longer dread going to the dentist. It's wonderful not to stress when that appointment for a cleaning comes around because I know I will be taken care of here.

Our family has been seen by Dr. Wainright's practice since 1988 when we moved to Raleigh. Everyone in the office has worked very hard to see that we were provided the best service available for over 20 years! Any time we had a problem that needed attention, they always helped by getting us into the office as fast as possible. The minute you walk in you can tell everyone enjoys working there as the atmosphere is positive, yet professional. Also, they have the cutting edge technology within the office so crowns can be done in one visit. We have appreciated everything they have done for our family and the great care and service! I would describe my experience with Wainright & Wassel as very comfortable, relaxed, and pleasant. Everyone on the staff are friendly, knowledgable, and professional. It is obvious that the goal of the office to provide the customer with a pleasant and positive dental experience. And I can testify that they do just that for every customer. There are many dental offices in the city to choose from, but in my opinion, there are none quite like Wainright & Wassel in terms of overall customer service and customer satisfaction. Thank You.

I am pleased to recommend the dental practice ot Wainright and Wassel to anyone who is seeking a dentist. Both Dr. Wainrights and Dr. Wassel are kind, caring, knowledgable, and professional. In addition, the office staff and the dental hygientists also have those traits. I first met Dr. Bruce Wainright about 30 years ago when I had recently moved to Raleigh. We were visiting family in Williamston, NC, when my youngter son who was about 3 at the time, fell and broke off a front tooth. Although neither my son nor anyone in my family was at that time a patient of Dr. Wainright, he agreed to meet us at his office at 10:30 on a Saturday night. I have always been so grateful for that. As I have related that story over the years, I have been touched by the number of other people who have similar stories to tell. (That same son fell asleep a few years later as Dr. Wainright was filling a tooth...proof of the gentleness with which he does his job!) This is truly a unique practice and a wonderful group of people with whom to work. Many thanks to all!

I don't usually write testimonials, but 'Wainright & Wassel DDS' certainly deserves many thanks. From the moment you walk into the reception area, you are greeted with smiling faces and office staff who greet you by name. The waiting room is comfortable, however you won't be waiting there for long. The doctors and hygienists are wonderful to work with and take their time during your appointment. They are conscious of advising you of any inconsistencies they may see in your oral care, and are quick to supply advice or needed procedures to help you maintain a beautiful smile. I have never felt that any of the treatment suggestions were unnecessary. The personal attention is outstanding and all staff members ensure that your visit is pleasant and affordable with various payment options. I have recommended this practice to many of my family and friends and will continue to do so for years to come. Many thanks to you all for everything you do for your patients!!

I love the office and all the staff at Wainright and Wassel DDS. I have never felt more at "home". I have seen all three doctors and they all are extremely caring and informative. If I ever need treatment, they make sure that I know exactly what they are going to do. The friendly office staff even make sure I understand all my financial responsibilities and let me have different options to pay. I have had anxiety about going to the dentist for as long as I can remember. Because of this, I had avoided going for several years for fear of what they would find. The pain of a toothache finally got my attention, and I started asking around work for referrals. One of my co-workers had been going to Wainright and Wassel for years, and she recommended that I make an appointment right away. I was even nervous to call the office; I was afraid it would take weeks to get an appointment. When I told them I was in pain, they got me in very quickly, even though I wasn't an established patient. At my first visit, I was immediately put at ease by the courteous office staff. My dentist, Dr. Wassel, was wonderful and took his time explaining everything to me. Because I had neglected my teeth for years, he did identify quite a few areas that needed work; however, he emphasized that I could have the work done over several sessions. This was a great relief because I knew I couldn't afford to have it all done immediately. I am now about half-way done with the treatment plan Dr. Wassel devised. The work he has completed looks wonderful, and I was only minimally uncomfortable during the treatments. In fact, I am actually excited to have the rest of it completed! I truly cannot say enough good things about this practice! If you have been neglecting your teeth like I was, I suggest giving them a call. You will feel so much better!

I love the staff at Wainright & Wassel! The ladies at the front, the hygienists and the Doctors are all very friendly and make you feel like they've known you for years. The practice uses advanced technology like little cameras they put in your mouth and then show you the pics on a flat screen TV. You can also watch the TV while they clean your teeth in your own personal room! It's a great place and I've always enjoyed (and even looked forward to) my visits there. I go three times a year instead of two just to make sure things are okay and the prices for that extra visit are very reasonable. I have referred friends and coworkers and i will continue to do so!!

Everyone is always very friendly and welcoming! The office is equipped with the latest technology. The wait area is nice with a big tv, kids play area and coffee! I have been seen by several different hygienist as well as a couple of the dentists and they are all proficient and knowledgeable about what they do.

I have been going to Dr. Wainwright for over twenty years and have never sought out another dentist. My husband and I are extremely pleased with every facet of the practice. They are accommodating when we need to get in on an emergency basis and even work with us as seniors with a senior discount. They treat us in a professional manner and manage to make us feel important to them as patients. We have recommended them to many of our friends who now use the practice and are equally happy. His technology is state of the art and his office is relaxing and patient-friendly. It's nice when you call and even the office staff know you. We will continue to use Dr. Wainwright for years to come.

I was always anxious and frighten of going to the dentist because I knew it was going to hurt....that all disappeared after my first visit to Dr.Bruce Wainright. He was patient, caring and very knowledgable about his concept of dentistry --it is not suppose to hurt. He was true to his word. It didn't hurt!! He has now been my dentist for 10 plus years and I haven't regretted it a bit. He's also cute! The same professionalism also goes for his staff. You feel like family with the first greeting.
