I am always so very impressed with the friendly, efficient processing of not only myself, but everyone that I observe coming in while I'm waiting to be called. It's an exceedingly well-organized process and there is rarely any "down time" once my name is called. Each staff member knows the routine and exacts it smoothly and efficiently all while giving detailed explanations so I always know what we're doing, where we're going, and why. I have found each doctor to be outstanding. Their calm, competent manner coupled with explanations that help me understand what's going on, plus their taking time to answer my questions, make me feel completely taken care of. I trust my vision to your care and appreciate each one of you every time I am there. Thank you for taking such great care of me.

Marie who took me into the office to check me out first and perform some tests was informative and friendly. Very welcoming. Then she had me wait for Dr. Lu. He was very helpful and defined my problem. In addition, he had two videos for me to watch to treat and thdd we n prevent further occurrences of the problem. Friendly and professional.

I was not satisfied with the last eye surgery to my left eye. When I went back to speak to surgeon, all he did was make excuses, and brought up other issues that may have caused my concerns, which he did not bring up prior to surgery. So very unhappy

The office visit was great. All the employees were pleasant and professional and the doctor squeezed me in at the last minute. However, once I left, the pharmacy called to inform me that the medication prescribed was extremely expensive because it was new. In addition, they could not get it until the next evening. The next day, after receiving no call from the pharmacy, I reached out and they informed me the medication is on backorder and unavailable. It is incredibly frustrating to have a medical facility prescribe a medication only to discover it is unavailable at 5:30 on a Friday night. While I admit to not knowing the logistics of prescriptions, it seems reasonable to me that the doctors should have the ability to verify the general availability of any medication prescribed.

I was over dilated as my eyes didn’t return to normal till 10:30 PM. I had a headache after that lasted into the next day. I wasn’t given sunglasses when I left and when out a different door and couldn’t fine my car for 15 minutes while blinded by the light, which may be why I got a headache.

I was sent here as a referral to see an ophthalmologist, Which was covered by my cal optima insurance but told to come back for a vision field test and the test for the prescription 3 weeks later. At that time I was told that the tests and visit to change my prescription that was ordered at the first visit weren't covered by Cal Optima, even though at my old ophthalmologist they were covered. I think that I should have been told that at the first visit. Other than that the service was wonderful. Also not that the optometrist didn't do a wonderful job, but the referral was for an ophthalmologist as my vision problems are partly neurological in nature, so I was surprised that she was handling everything, if she is going to do the job than she should be promoted to the top spot, seeing as she has the knowledge and experience!

Dr. Winston and his staff care about their patients, showing kindness in stressful situations. They sometimes get behind in the schedule (making patients wait) but it's because they take time to listen and help people. And people need time; they need to feel like their doctors and nurses actually care. Dr. Winston's staff does.

After making the decision that my eyesight needed to improve, I was fortunate to find Dr. Winston and his Winston Eye Care group. Despite a very active office, things mostly ran on time. I was in good hands throughout the evaluation, didn't feel like a number, and my questions were answered. When Dr. Winston comes in, he focuses (pun intended) on you and makes sure your questions are answered. I hoped that my operations would go as well as the visits to the office...they did. Actually, Dr. Winston did the surgeries at Center for Outpatient Surgery in Whittier and the staff was excellent. Two words to describe my experience with Winston Eye Care, Center for Outpatient Surgery and Dr. Winston: Excellent Service. I'm disappointed with my last eye exam and prescription. I got the feeling that I was part of an assembly line. I think that you need more checks / balance. After my eye exam, I was discussing my glasses prescription in the optics dept when the the eye exam techinician came in and said there needed to be correction. It was signed off by a doctor but the distance prescription was way off.

Great staff and Dr. Winston excels at what he does. I had glaucoma and could not have it treated to solve the problem. Dr. Winston, in one visit, had the solution: Xen surgery. The surgery was quick and now my eye pressure is under control. Thank you again for an incredible job.

Very thorough exam. Did have to wait quite a while to be seen both in the office and exam room. Unfortunately, the majority of treatments advised are not covered by insurance. On the up side, my eyes are healthy.

The doctors are first-rate, friendly, and courteous. We love the husband and wife team, who treat us like family and offer helpful suggestions and information. We look forward to our annual visits and enjoy the personal touch given patients. The staff takes temperatures, wears facemasks, and sanitizes everything for everyone's safety before and after touching the equipment. Procedures are painless and personalized. Social distancing is practiced throughout the office. Isabel gives great phone while making reservations for appointments. Dr. Winston performs exceptional cataract surgery at different locations to accommodate his clientele. Everyone we know goes to him for eye surgery.

I had an issue with my left eye, some irritation, redness and being swollen. i work with seniors and i wanted to make sure it was not Contagious.I did not have an appointment, but the office was on my way to work. they opened up at 7:30. I was greeted with a smile and the girls search for an appointment slot for me. even though the computers were acting up they still got me an appointment, but when i told them the situation about going to work and did not want to spread it to any of the seniors they spoke to the doctor and got me in right away. they were awesome to help me out. thank you everyone. lucky I went and so glad they took me in , it was pink eye, so no work for a while.

Been in to see dr. Winston yesterday to make an appointment and when I told them my symptoms, they would not let me leave until dr. Winston saw me yesterday. That to me was very important for them to see how important it is when they hear symptoms of concern that they will not let you leave. The staff is professional, friendly, very informative, and very gracious. Dr. Winston. Dr. Kim who saw me yesterday, were very thorough, professional as well and as always and took the time to go beyond with testing to make sure that everything was okay when I had given them my symptoms.it's a shame that it can only be a 5-star rating because I give the facility, the staff, the doctors, 10 Stars. Completely dissatisfied with my experience. My initial visit was in May 2018 and was billed for a "Comprehensive" exam. due to an eye allergy, Dr. Luu only addressed the allergy. When I returned recently I verified prior to appointment with Stephanie that a Comprehensive exam should of included the vision exam. when I arrived, I was charged another copay of $50. When asked, I was told by Stephanie that it was for the eye exam. when asked about the "Comprehensive" exam from May, she denied stating that a vision exam was included. Then I was approached by office manager, Fiorella. She tells me what Comprehensive means. Goes on to say Comprehensive includes medical eye exam, not vision. Was never informed of that in May 2018 or recent visit.

Very happy with the treatment given. My only complaint, which i didnt realize until i looked at my bank account, is it appears they chargo 10% extra to use debit card to pay co-payment. I didn't see a notice anywhere and they should have let me giving me the option to pay another way.

Had to wait a little longer than usual but the office was really crowded and they did the best they could under the circumstances. Most of the wait time was in the back waiting for a room and waiting for machines to be free for testing and then waiting to see the doctor. One of the girls went around asking if anyone needed water, that was very nice of her to do.

Dr. Winston Eye Care Center is magnanimously excellent from the minute you step in to check in the reception desk (reception ladies are superior in customer service with good smile, helping hands, courteous and kind), through the initial interview by the nurse or associate doctors and ultimately the principal Doctor who was assigned to take your case (in my case Dr. Kim). Dr. Kim was detailed, diligent, very professional and caring. Also, I appreciate and was very impressed with the video being played during a short wait because patients have a chance to learn more about the company, the staff, the doctors and the learning knowledge and information about health especially eye care. OVER-ALL, simply a UNIQUE GRANDEUR OF EXCELLENT SERVICE.

Dr. Winston was great as well as al of his staff. I've had a cyst on my eye lid that started to grow and bother me, (It was pushing my eyelashes in my eye). He removed the cyst gave me instructions on how to care for the open wound and everything has been good. It's almost healed and I'm appreciate that he took care of it on the spot.

They were about the 7th Opthemologist I called to try and get my daughter in ASAP. They were very helpful and worked to get her in immediately. First and foremost, the wait time is ridiculous. If someone is going to make an appointment, the policy should not be to "double book". Dr. Winston is very impersonal, and does not take the time to understand his patients. It would be nice to tell a patient WHAT you are going to do to him/her as opposed to just doing it. I was caught off guard yesterday both times when he flipped my eyelids without telling me. Also, I was guided to the front desk without having put my contact lenses back in. His staff barged in while he was seeing me, without announcing who she was. I thought she barged in to ask him a question. That same employee did not help me look for sample medication, until I asked again. To be honest, I don't even think she looked. She pretended to look by slamming on a drawer. I don't think I will be coming back. I think the biggest change needed is an attitude check. Next, would be some compassion and professional courtesy.

Really kind and professional personalities, but it took over two months before I received a usable pair of glasses: From March 1st until May 10th. First, the close-vision prescription was too weak; then the replacement glasses were ground incorrectly (the Lab. was blamed); then the replacement pair somehow broke in the Lab. when they were being ground to my prescription. On May 10th I finally received a call that my new glasses were ready. On May 11 I picked them up, so now I finally have my new glasses.

Exceptional service. Starting from scheduling the first appointment for my mom as a new patient referred through our insurance, the staff at the front desk were very friendly, professional and efficient. During our visit, the technician, Jason, was also very patient and efficient. We saw Dr. Ly who really spent time on understanding my mom's history of the conditions and explained her findings to us. She also double checked with the front desk staff that the more tests she wanted were covered by the initial preautherization. Because of my mom's conditions, she also requested Dr. Winston to see her and go over her chart. Dr. Winston referred us to an eye surgeon and the office took care of everything, including submitting to the insurance and scheduling appointment with the surgeon in another office before we even got home. It was the most efficient visit we have ever had.

I've taken my kids to several different eye doctors, but there was always one aspect that didn't sink in very well wherever we went. Because of previous experiences, I expected similar type of care at Winston Eye Care, but wow, I was surprised with the care we received from all the different people we interacted with. From the front desk, to the preliminary care, the optometrist, and lastly to the one who helped us pick out glasses for my 5-year old, we received such good care from genuinely, good, personable people. Dr. Charles Luu was the one who looked after my son and I've never met a doctor who was so understanding, patient and personable with a squirmy, curious little boy. Dr. Luu never once showed any frustration and rather laughed it off with complete understanding and allowed my son little breaks in between different examinations for him. Not only that, Dr. Luu was very thorough with explaining the situation about my son's vision with very easy to understand examples. And I felt that he was genuinely interested in helping my son to correct his vision. The facility was also large, beautiful, welcoming and clean! I was truly appreciative of the experience at Winston Eye Care and look forward to coming back!

Continue going to Dr. Winston for several years because of their professionalism, courtesy, empathy, and sincerity. Waiting is kept at a minimum. The doctors make me comfortable, unrushed, and sincerely interested in my comments and understanding of the results. I contacted Dr. Winston as a new patient with an emergency need for an exam. He took my call on a Saturday (!) for a quick consultation and they fit me into his schedule the next Monday for the exam. When the exam revealed a retinal tear, he was able to do laser surgery the same morning, and I was out by noon with the problem addressed and the danger of vision loss averted. And they worked effectively with my insurance for payment. I could not be more impressed with the efficiency of the process, the flexibility and friendliness of Dr. Winston and the entire office, and the competence displayed by everyone.

Wednesday I was freightened, as my right eye hurt, was blood shot and I felt pressure above my pupil. I called The Winston Eye Clinic about 2:15 in the afternoon and they so kindly told me I could come right in. It was my first time there although I had taken my granddaughter there a couple of times. This is a very busy office and I so appreciated that they would accommodate me as I had a two hundred mile drive the next day which I was a little fearful of with this hurt eye. They saw me immediately and took such good care of me and put my fears to rest. I will be returning for a complete exam in a month or so and will refer my friends to my "new" eye clinic.

Dr Loui is the best! I had been getting my yearly eye exams from Costco because I don't have insurance. Now that I'm a little older, I felt I needed to see someone who would be more thorough in addressing my vision concerns. The level of care Dr Loui provided far exceeded what I had been receiving from the Costco ophthalmologist. She shared a few different options to help my vision concerns and provided me with a new type of contact lense which I'm really happy with. I also received a discount for having my current contact lense boxes so the out-of-pocket fee was totally affordable! I'm so glad I came to see Dr Loui!!!! I recommend her 1000%. The office staff was also very kind and helpful!

Everything went well except the solution for dilating my pupils stung pretty bad. My eyes are very sensitive. They'll tear pretty quick in the sunlight. Sunglasses are a must for me in the daylight. It took several hours for my eyes to return to normal. I should have stayed inside your office longer before leaving. Even with my sunglasses on I could hardly keep my eyes open in the sunlight. Good thing I didn't have to drive.

My first appointment at Winston Eye Care with Dr. Louie was surprisingly quick, efficient, and painless (I'm a chicken). There are quite a few forms to fill out before the appointment, but luckily, they were emailed to me and I was able to fill them out online and email them back to the office before my appointment. Wait times were minimal and all the staff were incredibly friendly. Dr. Louie was very personable and took time to explain all my questions. Edgar, who works in the frames department, was incredibly helpful! I don't do well with a lot of choices and he helped me narrow down 3 frames that looked totally fabulous on me in under 5 minutes. He was honest and seemed to have an instinct for my style and personality - I never felt pressured into buying more expensive frames. I'm so pleased with my initial visit and am really excited to get my new glasses!

My last visit was on 6/10/2016, and with Dr. Ly. She was just great, friendly and to the point. Felt every stab of the scapel and clamp on both upper and lower lids. It was stressful and extremely painful. Patch slapped on and was out the door within minutes. Almost fell down stairs. Got home and removed blood soaked eye patch and had a huge blood clot covering my entire eye.

The facility is nice, and the doctors are friendly and knowledgeable. However, it seems that every time I come here the wait is longer than the time before. Yesterday, I waited 50 minutes before I saw the nurse/assistant and another 15/20 minutes before I saw the doctor. I understand that sometimes things run behind, but that was really unacceptable. I had to leave work early to come to this appointment, and I did not feel that my time was respected.

I was very pleased last year and this year with office staff help and attitudes by phone and in person - very pleasant and much improved over contact on phone and in former La Mirada office (staff often didn't answer phone for a long time or cut me off, were gruff, etc. I hated dealing with them). I love this clinic. The staff and doctors are friendly, courteous, and just fantastic all around. Highly professional group of people. They are thorough and very knowledgeable in what they are they are doing. I recommend them. I am very pleased with them.

I've been taken care of by you & Dr Louie for over 25 yrs , 120% respect for you since you came in on a Saturday to treat me after an eye surgery reformed by a visiting Dr hofft and Dr Yolin . Your hands were dirty from roofing tar lol, Friendly Hills was closed we came in back door . Can't say enough about Dr Louie the Best

This was my second appointment and again, like the first, I wait over 2 hours for the doctor to just come in the room! This is RIDICULOUS, I mean really!? Only senior citizens have that kind of time to waste WAITING!!!!! Please fix this!

Employees were friendly and helpful enough. My only complaint is the wait time. I was in the outer office for more than 50 minutes, and I waited about the same amount of time after drops were put in to dilate my pupils.

I paid $500 in advance for astigmatism procedure during cataract surgery. Dr. Winston said he did not do the procedure as it wasn't necessary. I asked him re: refund and he refused, saying there was expense involved with testing, etc. I feel I'm entitled to some discount since no surgical procedure was not performed.

I Could have stayed at work for the hour I waited and I am out that money, but I was at my appt on time; however, I do feel confident with the care from this doctor.

I had glaucoma surgery on 11/10 - I was given several different times as to when to check in. Resulting in sitting in the surgery waiting room for 3 hours (it is freezing in there) before being called in. Then find out that Dr. was behind (not his fault) I understand things like this happen. My surgery was scheduled for 2:30 - arrive 1 hr. before. Then the day before was told to arrive at 12:00 -- so we arrive a little early - found out later surgery was scheduled for 3:00 - it all boils down to it is important that the right time be given to avoid persons waiting so long in a very cold room.
