Dear ,
Firstly, we want to say we sincerely hope you, your friends and family are healthy during these potentially stressful times.
California Governor Newsom proclaimed a State of Emergency and issued a “Stay at Home” order as a result of threat of the COVID-19 virus. https://www.gov.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/3.19.20-attested-EO-N-33-20-COVID-19-HEALTH-ORDER.pdf
As a healthcare provider, we are an essential business and are permitted to continue operations on a limited basis. As a result, beginning March 23rd, 2020, we will be reducing our business hours to two days a week (Wed & Thu hours only.) Additionally, treatment rendered will be limited to those with acute symptoms or those of a dental/medical necessity. Elective or cosmetic procedures will be rescheduled to May 2020.
Patients that have traveled, have a cough/flu like symptoms, or may have come in contact with anyone with such symptoms, will also be rescheduled to no earlier than May 2020. We will be asking our patients to come alone/unaccompanied in order to keep our patient waiting room count between zero and one.
As our patients already know, in our treatment areas we already implement strong universal precautions and disinfection standards as per ADA, CALOSHA and CDC’s 2003 guidelines. Additionally, we are constantly disinfecting all surface areas and all other non-treatment areas of the office. We are also spacing out appointments so that patients do not come in close proximity with one another. Our office occupancy count is to never exceed 5 people.
This is the only time we will tell our patients to WAIT to see the dentist. Even with these additional safety measures in place, we want to remind you to use extreme discretion. Please be advised, should you chose to visit our office, you are doing so AT YOUR OWN RISK. We are not responsible and are to be held harmless, should you contract Covid-19 as a result of your office visit. We also understand that we are taking a health risk by continuing to serve patients in need. Any interactions with our staff, exposes you and us to the additional potential to contract the virus, as it is airborne.
As always, reach out to our office for any additional questions or concerns you may have.
