Some tips for Halloween from Vitalize MD

• Halloween candy disguises itself as cute, bite-size, harmless treats that we can’t resist, but remember Halloween is really the kick off to the rest of the holiday season and there will be plenty more treats around in the next couple of months.

• Try to chose dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate and avoid candy with high fructose corn syrup.
  

• Eat dinner before you trick or treat — an empty stomach and bowl of candy is a tough combo.
