Dr Clayton and the entire staff were excellent! The appointment was on time, they went out of their way to make sure everything was sanitized and everyone (as usual) was professional and friendly. I have been a patient for over 20 years and love Bellevue Vision Clinic - making the drive from West Seattle is well worth it.

I can't say enough good things about the excellent care I received from Dr. Hamza and the attention they have given to creating a safe environment for both staff and customers during this time. Though I was hesitant at first to make the appointment the experience with Bellevue Vision's Covid-19 safety plan was so impressive I felt completely safe. Highly recommend a visit!

Irish Dela Rea did an excellent job providing a thorough examination to rule out any underlying disease causing my recent development of floaters. She explained everything she did and practiced ultimate safety to mitigate the transmission of Covid between us. Her personal outreach and concern for my eye well being showed me compassion. I am grateful to have Dr. Dela Rea as my eye doctor. She is a wonderful doctor and person!

Excellent experience having my annual eye exam. Dr. Hamsa is always upbeat, proffessional and still friendly. The greeter lady and capable tester were both lovely. I would like to add that if you're going to offer text OR phone, the phone number given did not have a key in or option to just check in. I had to listen on and on until he was completely through the entire message and still did not hear, "to notify us you are here, please press.... so I ended up texting. Some seniors use the "jitterbug" phone that does not have texting capacities. I know, who can't text in 2020, but many seniors do not I've discovered.

I have a challenging vision problem, both seriously nearsighted and farsighted. Dr. Clayton was very caring and patiently found a prescription that works both near and far. He also taught me how to deal with my dry eyes. He explained everything clearly. I feel very confident in his care.

We’ve been patients there since Dr. Glaze’s time with his brother for over 40 years now. They were great. Dr.Olson however was condescending, demeaning and made me feel like a child. She had a poor beside manner. I am a doctor and have run my own business for over 21 years and would never treat a patient the way she did. We had one unforeseen circumstance where we had to cancel our first ever appointment in 40 years for our daughter and were treated very brash and unprofessionally. We know how important it is to keep appointments and am thinking about pulling my family and mother in-law because of how embarrassing she was. She needs to figure it out.

Dr. Hamza is amazing. I love LOVE her. She is thorough in her exam and thinks of possible solutions/goals that are attainable for me. I'm a mid 40-year-old woman who is dealing with extremely dry eyes and my vision is changing. She will walk through the pros/cons of each approach. A nosepiece on my glasses was missing, and the ear pieces were loose -- all that got fixed up. Dr. Clayton's exam was both thorough and speedy, and we had a little time to joke around, which was pleasant. My feeling was that my sight for reading has gotten worse; turns out it is due to worsening cataracts, but Dr. Clayton eliminated a couple of other possibilities to be sure there was nothing in addition to cataracts. I've been seeing Dr. Clayton for years now, and feel very well served.

5 stars for staff: I appreciated the time and assistance I got from the entire staff! 1 star for the wait: I arrived in the lobby and was immediately taken back with the assistant to do the preliminary checking. That went quickly. But the rest of the stay was very long periods of waiting between very brief interactions with the doctor. My appt started at 8:30. I didn't leave the clinic until 10:15. Is that normal?

Dr. Clayton has been a huge help for my dry eyes - finally found relief with the right treatment. He is really good at educating so you understand your particular eye issue and generous with his time once he gets to you. However, he consistently runs at least 30-45 minutes late EVERY time. So if you decide to make an appointment, clear 2hrs of your schedule and bring a good book to read or work remotely while you wait.

I have been to Bellevue vision clinic twice in the past year. Dr. Rea is one of the best eye doctors. She has been very helpful with my transition from glasses to Contacts. She makes sure you get the right contacts fit and comfort for your eyes. My contact lens trainers have taught me to wear and remove contacts very easily with less effort, making sure you learn all the gotchas of using contacts.

I have been a patient of Dr. Clayton's for 13 years. The staff is professional and fun as they really seem to enjoy their work. He has maintained most of the same staff since I started seeing Dr. Clayton. I appreciate that they have a late night for appointments and they use an online reminder system via text that is super easy. He offers day-to-day items such as contact solution at cost and I think that is very thoughtful. During my recent cancer treatments, we had a heck of a time getting a good read for new contacts. Instead of pushing the issue, Dr. Clayton sent me home with things to do to help my eyes and made sure I came back when ready. He is the best!

The woman who performed my prescription measurements used so many more knobs and features from the eye equipment than I've ever had another doctor do, spent less time finiking with the same stuff over and over again; and still got my prescription sharper than ever. Front office receptionist greeted me adequately. The gal that took me back to room, never addressed me by name. She took a brief eye chart test and left saying Dr. Clayton would be in shortly. I waited 15 minutes. The gal walked by the doorway several times, made no eye contact, didn't offer me some reading material or tell how much longer I would be waiting. Dr Clayton arrived and did not address me by name, apologize for the wait, or engage in any type of personal conversation. He performed the exam and seemed very perplexed about how bad the contact prescription seemed to be. He didn't engage in any dialogue unless I asked him. He determined the Rx was correct and chalked it up to a bad set of lenses. I know it wasn't his error regarding the lenses, but would have thought an apology for such bad ones would have been a natural response. He got up, set a contact case and some solution on the counter and told me I could remove my lenses and would receive news by mail. There's more but outta space.

Calling the office and obtaining an appointment is very difficult, in my opinion. I'm probably the only patient who think this. I do not like to get a voice mail message when I call the office and then on top of that not have someone return my call the next day. The last time I made an appointment it was like pulling teeth to make the appointment. I was told that my name would first be given to the doctor who I wanted the appointment with and THEN I would be called back to see if I was APPROVED. Since I've been a patient decades, this was a surprise to me. I told the receptionist that I was merely trying to get an appointment and was actually trying to give them business. The receptionist then said that I could go ahead and make the appointment. Whew!!!

Seemed like a duplicate appt. It was my understanding that the doctor had ordered contacts that I was to pick up at this appt. They had either not been ordered or didn't get ordered.

Dr. Hanza and the fitting specialist (Char) were excellent. First fitting/experience with contact lenses was excellent - specialist was very patient, attentive and kind. The contact lenses are fantastic. Thank you Bellevue Vision Clinic.

I realize you have limited space to display frames but it seems most of your frames have the same shape. I have to admit I haven't looked lately because in the past I couldn't find anything I really liked so have settled for some cheaper frames which still don't seem to be flattering.

Since my last visit I have contacted my insurance and was informed that I am not covered for new lenses. The only cover I have is a regular checkup once a year. It would help me to make a decision if you could tell me what the cost to me would be to get new lenses for both of my frames. I have frames that I can definitely use. Thanks

I didn't know that the insurance is billed about $41 for a contact lens fitting, that should have been communicated to me because when I came in the second time - ready to order contact lenses - I was unaware that I didn't have my full benefit from my insurance remaining, I therefore had to change my order on the fly. I know that it's not Dr. Hamza's job to tell me this but it would have been good to know. Besides that I received great service! Always very pleasant to see Dr. Hamza!
