I went in because I thought I had something in my eye or an infection…. The doctor gave me a very thorough exam, explained that I had a stye, what it was and how he would treat it. I was very happy with the thorough exam and our discussion on treating it. I was also impressed that the doctor remembered (or it was note on my chart) that my mother-in-law had passed when I was at my last visit, showing he cared about me as a person, not just a patient. The staff is all very professional and friendly.

My husband and I have gone to the Burnsville Eye Clinic for approximately 5 years and we love the care we receive. It's personal and thorough. They give me honest opinions when I'm trying to choose the best frames for me without 'recommending' the most expensive ones ones on display. I love the small business treatment. They all make me feel like I'm the only person in the room when I am there whether getting an exam, purchasing new glasses, or getting my glasses adjusted. Thank YOU!

I would rather not leave a rating at this time, because I have had only this one experience, and the complete exam has not been finished. In general, I would not like to leave a rating of a medical provider. I don't think that is a fair way to communicate about an experience with a medical provider.

I had an excellent experience getting my eyes examined. The Dr. was professional, friendly and casually talked about each step she was doing so it felt more like a conversation. Very knowledgeable and never rushed. This was, by far, the best eye exam experience I have had in 50 years.

Great clinic! Friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable staff. Dr. explained condition/results thoroughly and had great 'bedside' manner. She had reviewed my chart prior to my visit, was aware of my concerns and answered my questions. I had scheduled the appointment 6 months ago and there was a change in the doctors' schedule on particular days. My doctor was not available for the appointment. I was offered the opportunity to reschedule when the doctor I had seen previously would be available. If there is a switch in the doctor to be seen at the appointment, prior notification would be appreciated.

I had a great first appointment! I saw Dr. Ryba and she was wonderful. Very informative and friendly - I would recommend adding her to your website and adding a bio on her. I hope to see her next time I am back. The rest of the staff was also amazing. I had a great time picking out new lenses and appreciate the patience while they taught me to put in contacts! They were also very forthcoming on potential charges and made sure to explain all of my benefits.

They are incredibly helpful and makes sure you get every question answered and gets you everything you need before you leave. Excellent experience First time patient - communications regarding my appointment were straight-forward and timely. Staff was very friendly and listened attentively to my questions and concerns. Dr. Ufken was very thorough, explaining each step of the comprehensive exam as she sent along. She explained several details about how my vision was changing as I grew older that I would not have thought to ask. I felt it was important to everyone there that I had a great prescription and a good experience.

I was extremely unimpressed with the condescending attitude of the Dr. She was very young and definitely needs to work on her social skills. It would be helpful if she educated instead of making it seem that the patient is ignorant.

I sent an email via the "Contact Us" page on your site. I'll be briefer here and hope that comes through, if not, I'll provide more detail. So basically, I have liked my experiences with BEC, but this last time, not as much. Not blaming Dr. Mattson or me, but I wish we would have combined to figure out that doing a $98 lens fitting wasn't worth it, as I can't get lenses again until January and so the $70 rebate on the lenses we decided on would expire before then. I asked before we got started about finding out when I was eligible for the insurance to pay the $150 allowance towards lenses and Dr. Mattson said that we could ask at the desk after- which doesn't do me any good if I don't have the $150 allowance, the $70 rebate to be used within 90 days of the exam and as I mentioned to him, my wife is on strike and I wouldn't be committing financially to a year's supply of lenses and he mentioned that was what the rebate was for.

I came in to have my eyes checked since I was having issues even though I had been to another clinic in August because my insurance had changed. After examining my eyes Dr. Ufgan told me that I had dry eyes and that my prescription had changed significantly and that she recommended I get new glasses. I trusted her so I did pick out some glasses. Imagine my shock when the bill came to over $700. I have never paid that much for glasses ever and have been wearing them for over 50 years! Well, I got the glasses and they just weren't right. I went back in only to find out that I could not return them. Instead Dr. Ufgan reexamined my eyes and now told me that with dry eyes I would have a problem and she also told me that my prescription had only changed a little from my old glasses. Imagine my surprise with that statement! I would NOT have had to get new glasses AND, with dry eyes, I should have waited until they were better to get new glasses. This was such a bad experience, I will not be coming back to this clinic and I would not recommend it to anyone else. I think they are only out to sell glasses at double the cost of anyone else! I still don't have my glasses as they are changing the lens to the same brand I have to see if that will work. I am thinking nothing will work until the dry eyes get better. How unprofessional and unethical!!

I was lead to believe that my eyes hadn't changed much, and in some aspects, perhaps improved. My original presciption Crizal lenses were so clear and sharp, that when I put on my new pair, I experienced ghost images, on both sides of the objective, and less sharp and clear images, so I returned them to the clinic. I have yet to see the performance of the newer lenses I will receive, but my confidence has been shaken. We'll see.

She was awesome answered all my questions and gave me much info I never received before also impressed with all the eqipment for doing a more through exam. Which she identified the necessity for caters removal and then referee me to a Surgons.

Everyone at the clinic was very friendly. During my routine eye exam there was something in my eyes that needed a follow up appointment with a specialist. Of course I was nervous. Who expects that when they go to an eye exam! The staff was very kind and encouraging. They called me the same day to fill me in in the status of my appointment with the specialist. My appointment with the specialist was one week later, and later that day I recieved a call from the doctor to see how the appointment went. I was very impressed with them and would recommend them to anyone.

We did not know that we would not have Dr. Mattson. Surprised upon arrival in the exam room, to have his newer/younger colleague. Wish they had told us that when we scheduled. I asked for Dr. Mattson when booking (and who we had 3 to 4 years ago when we were here last but at the old location) but apparently scheduler just assumed to get us in on the day we desired, we could go to the other Dr. She should have told us this as I would have taken another day in order to see Dr. Mattson. Last year we went to Target optical. We had a fine experience but I prefer a private practice and thus returned to your place thinking it would be Dr. Mattson. Ask when making appts. if the Dr. asked for is not available on the preferred day/time, be clear that the other Dr. is and then provide the options....

I did not appreciate the multiple email, text and phone reminders about my appointment and appointment report, but was informed there was a change in the computer notification system and apologies were made.
