Nasty Attitude girls !!! — David G.

Dr. Walter is great.. My wife and I both have been under his care for years now. Also Cindy is truly a blessing.. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff he has now are rude with nasty attitudes. It's an all out "Us against them" mentality the current staff has. Hopefully Dr. Walker can make corrections and bring back the caring staff he had for so many years.

I can totally see why Dr. Cagle referred his patients to this practice. My experience was excellent. The staff was professional, friendly, helpful and courteous. Dr. Walter was professional, friendly and proved himself to be an expert at his job. I didn't feel rushed. The office was very clean and supply of eyewear was well stocked. Yes I will gladly recommend family and friends to this practice.

You just don’t find Doctors who care as deeply about their patients as Dr Walters any longer. He is older than most Doctors, but uses new technology in his practice. Very thorough. Explains everything very well. He is what healthcare used to be- very rare today.

My visit with Dr. Darrell R. Walter was excellent. Probably, the best Optometrist that I have seen. Very professional, took his time, and really explained everything to me and what options I had. After the visit with him, well somewhat disappointing. The frame sample frame that my wife had chosen - because I was going to choose the same frame - was nowhere to be found. I was hoping to get that done on the same visit. Trying to get time off and make to the other side of town for another visit, it's difficult. The office doesn't open on Saturdays, they close for lunch, and open at 10am on Mondays. So, not very patient friendly to us, the availability is limited.

I love Dr Walter, and he cares so much about my family. However, this last visit May keep me from returning. His assistant was so rude and disrespectful to him, in front of me. Her tone of voice and mannerisms were shocking - that of a teenager annoyed by her parent acting as if she were superior and annoyed by his presence. I was appalled! I mentioned something to Dr Walter when she’d left the room, and he replied she had a severe headache. So, I didn’t say anything to her. However, when she did the final go over with just me her personality changed, and she was very professional and caring and thorough. So, it wasn’t that she had a headache. I have not decided if I will return myself, but I definitely will not be bringing my 19 year old son back. I will not have this example set of how an employee treats their boss, nor how a young person should treat their elders.

As always, my annual visit for an eye exam was pleasant and professionally well done. The staff and Dr. Walter are very pleasant and personable, putting a very human touch on the exam. They exercise a trained eye for detail; assuring me that there is no better place to attend to vision needs.

I am always very pleased with my eye exam, but I have an issue with the amount of time I have to sit in the exam room before the Dr. sees me. I had the first appointment in the morning I still sat in the exam room for over 45 minutes. This is not acceptable, my time is valuable too.

I have been a patien of Dr. Walter for over 10 years and can say I have NEVER had a bad experience in all 10 of my eye exams. He is very patient, kind and takes the time to complete the exam while still making you feel valued and respected. The staff is top notch all the way-from the call to make an appointment to when you lick up your glasses. Over the years, I have only had to have one pair of glasses adjusted and they took great care of me right away.

King's Way Eye Clinic & Optical staff certainly treat patients the King's way with kindness, gentleness, and patience. Their staff is always friendly and helpful. My daughter is finally wearing a contact. That's right. Just one because that's all she needs. We ordered six month's supply with no cost to us. The woman who assisted my daughter with her fitting was extremely kind and patient while my daughter attempted to insert the contact. My daughter is thrilled to be out of glasses and enjoying her freedom thanks to King's Way Eye Clinic.

There is no one like Dr. Walter! He Is exceptionally thorough and truly cares about all of his patients. He takes his time and listens to your concerns as if you were a member of his family. On another note his wait times are very short so that it doesn't take up your entire day like some practices! His staff are friendly, kind and accommodating. I just love this office!!

We like the office and the staff. Terrific clinical staff. My one and only complaint is that we were in the office from 5:30 p.m. to well past 8 p.m. waiting to see the doctor. That is too long of a wait for anyone, especially for someone who has dementia. They don't understand and the office should be a little more considerate to special needs patients. I honestly love coming to see Dr. Walter. He's incredibly knowledgable and passionate about what he does. He's also very friendly. The staff are very pleasant as well. I don't even have vision insurance, but I pay out of pocket for the kind of care I get. You definitely get a thorough eye exam.

The staff took excellent care of me and got me in to see the dr even though I Didnot have an appointment but had gotten pink eye. Dr Walters always makes me feel like he goes beyond the norm to take care of me by giving me medications and personal number incase I have issues. He generally cares. My husband was so impressed he now wants to be a patient of Dr Walters. Thankyou! My health ins does not pay for me to go to your office but I prefer to go to where people genuinely care for me. I love going to Kingsway Eye Clinic and Optical. The employees are professional and friendly and Dr. Walters is a joy to visit! He is kind, always smiling and reassuring to his patients. I went for my appointment thinking I would have to purchase expensive glasses, but he tested my eyes and concurred that the only thing I needed to do was have my bent glasses repaired instead of buying new ones. I was speechless! I don't know many doctors who consider the patient's financial situations when it comes to diagnosing a solution to a problem. I have been going to this clinic for almost 7 years and it is always the same each time I go. It is a pleasure to be a patient of King's Way Eye Clinic and Optical and I HIGHLY recommend it.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I have been wearing eyeglasses/contacts for over 15 years and have seen many different eye doctors. Dr. Walter is very thorough, knowledgeable, and patient. He is the only doctor to ever care enough to explain the proper way to clean my contacts to keep my eyes healthy. He answers all of my questions and keeps me informed of any new advancement in the contact lens world. His office also provides an in-house eyeglass studio that is stocked full of eyeglass frames and helpful staff. This is definitely the best experience I have ever had when getting my eyes examined and when purchasing my eyeglasses or contacts. My prescription is always perfect!

I arrived early for my appt and was taken into an exam room even before I could complete the paperwork. Everyone was friendly,courteous, and professional. Dr Walter was thorough and explained clearly what he found. I will see Dr Walter again and will recommend him to friends.

I'm not pleased with these lenses. The left lens overall is better than previous prescription, but a large portion of the left side is blurry; might as well be wearing a lens 2/3 the size of what I bought. I have to turn my head to see clearly out driver mirror, more so than with old glasses. Was told this is normal. The right lens is blurry (I mentioned this right away when picking up glasses), and especially noticeable when driving and looking at road signs. Old prescription was clear in same circumstances. Was told this new prescription was ordered to correct specifications from my exam--I thought I knew what I was getting, but apparently not. I was told I'd be called to follow up by 17 Jan (picked up glasses 13 Jan)--no call was received.

I like the office, but I was there over 3 hours . It did surprise to see that the vsp providers seem to be higher than some of the other eye clinics in the area. I tried another vsp provider a couple of years ago and it was more expensive as well, and they are supposed to have better prices, but I did like Dr Walters, and he did explain why I was having some of my vision problems

The most thorough eye exam I've had in my life. Dr. Walter thoroughly explained more about my eyes (what he saw, what he didn't see and what to expect) than any other previous professional had. The entire appointment was a bit long (3 hours) but that did include selecting two pair of glasses. I had plenty of time anyway. I don't think I'd consider going anywhere else now. Great MD and a good support staff.

While I did not have to wait past my appointment time to be seated, I did have to wait more than an hour to see the doctor after the pre-exam tests had been completed by the staff. This seems like an excessively long wait, not respectful of the patient's time, and suggests that the appointments are being scheduled inappropriately. Additionally, the office requires a follow-up appointment to evaluate contact lenses before the patient is allowed to order a new supply of the lenses. I'm not certain why the lenses cannot be evaluated in the same single appointment as is typical with other optometrist offices, especially for those like myself who have worn contacts for more than 20 years. Again, the patient's time does not appear to be a concern when the office requires multiple appointments in lieu of one.

Doctor Walters is thorough. Very nice to see a well organized office with employees that respect one another and communicate. The teamwork there is fantastic. Everyone there seems happy and they are all very good at their jobs. Everything wonderful. Very pleased to see how much has changed over the years in the technology you are using and how you are staying ahead of the curves. I originally considered seeing a surgeon and absolutely didn't need that. You offered everything I could get there in the way of testing. I was very comfortable with my visit and felt like I was "home". You took care of my family for many years, kids and all. Also a note your business credit...I saw many of the same faces that have been there for at least 10 years. That is a true sign of a well run business that values their employees and the experience they bring to the office. Thanks so much!

The wait time to see the doctor is extremely long (at least 45 minutes after the appointment time) for the past few years I've been there. Even though they typically get you back in the room within 15 minutes of the appointment time, the overall wait is ridiculous.

Glad I mentioned it to the guy that helped me with my new glasses. Can't remember his name but he noticed that the glasses expire a yr from the date that I picked up my glasses last year. I will bring the broken pair when I pick up the new ones I ordered yesterday. What a fine office staff you have dr Walter. You cannot be replaced in my book.

Dr. Walters was amazing as was his staff. They were very friendly and very knowledgeable. This was my first visit to an eye doctor and I am so glad this is where I went. They made me feel relaxed and went over what types of test were being done, once the results were in Dr. Walters made sure I understood what was going in with my eyes and what I should expect in the future with my eyes.

I also had to pay twice because my charges weren't rung up correctly the first time. However I will return for check ups in the future.

it would be nice to have the dilation and exam in one day. I didn't like that I had to schedule the dilation separately, and that I have to come back for a contact check. If I think they fit okay I don't think I should have to come back. But everything else was great :)

I waited about an hour in the exam room to see the doctor. I was promptly called back when I arrived, however, I think waiting for that length of time to be seen by the doctor was way too long. I also waited for another 15-20 minutes to have someone show me frames. I was in your office for a total of 2 and 1/2 hours. And it wasn't very busy. I don't know that I'll come back to your office. There are too many eye doctors available to deal with that kind of wait time. The doctor and staff were very friendly and courteous, but I think they may need to consider how much they value the patients time?

I appreciate the fact that he was taken into the office before me because an "emergency" can not be scheduled. I am glad Dr. Walters put his patients first and they explained everything to me as to why he was running late with my appointment. I did not feel rushed when I did see Dr. Walters. He was very attentive to my needs.

I think that Dr. Walter is an excellent optometrist and I am so happy that he recommended daily wear contacts to me because my eyes feel more clean, and I don't have to spend money on all the contact cleaners and disinfectants. I also like how he remembers me whenever I go see him, since most doctors don't really remember any of their patients unless seen very frequently.

I've been wearing glasses for over 50 years glasses for over 50 years and have never had an eye exam as through and as extensive as the one Dr. Walter gives. It's more expensive than most I've seen advertised but worth every penny of it. Dr. Walter is a very pleasant, mellow, and extremely knowledgeable. I never feel like I'm being rushed and he takes his time explaining in detail all of my many questions, he is very patient. My wife is getting new glasses shortly. His prices are on the high side therefore I will be getting my glasses somewhere else, unfortunately my budget can't afford 2 pair of glasses with Dr.Walter. We will be back in a year or two.

Regarding #2, I would like to know more about why vision in my left eye cannot be enhanced. Overall, visit was very good; personnel were courteous and friendly; and Peter did an outstanding job making my current glasses comfortable and functional after I nearly destroyed them.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They (more than just one ) even were willing to give their "like a friend" opinion when I was trying to decide between two different pairs of glasses. The eye testing was very extensive and thorough and you felt like the lenses would be very fine tuned to your needs.

The staff is always friendly. I love the fact that when Dr. Walters is in the room with you, he is 100% concentrating on you. I always feel like he is listening to me completely and not thinking about the last patient or the next one. I never feel rushed. I feel like I've been heard.

I drive 45 mins to see Dr Walter. He is wonderful. He does a very thorough job and I trust him. I love his professional staff as well. However, the total length of time for appointments is much too long. 2+ hours. I know they are working on this.

Lessen the wait time to see the doctor. After removing the wait time I was very pleased with my visit. Everyone is friendly and takes time to explain the process and results. I feel the eye exam is thorough. Dr. Walter shows he truely cares about his patients.

Dr. Walter's office was very courteous and professional. Everyone seemed so pleasant even though I was one of their last appts. Dr. Walter took the extra time to explain everything about each test, results, where I stood, and what options were available to me. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for eye care needs. Would I recommend him and his office. I already did to two of night shift co-workers. They plan on seeing him shortly.

Due to the complexity of my glasses, it took a long time. She is always nice and gave me excellent advice. And she is very considerate and told me that the glasses will be ready ASAP because I am wearing a broken glass. And also need to thank your front desk girls.
