Dr. Kurtin and his staff are great at what they do. I genuinely trust his ability to take proper care of my eyes with his leading edge equipment, expertise, and friendly staff. I only had one issue during the time that I've been seeing him and his staff, and I've been seeing him since I got an eye prescription in fifth grade. That was when I was probably 10 years old (5th grade). The Rayban classic sunglasses that I purchased from his office broke at the hinges after about 4 months. The temples were not opening smoothly for some reason, and they broke off. Fortunately, the new Raybans that I just purchased were being sold at a discounted price. (Not because of the issue that I was having though) Thank you Dr. Kurtin for all that you do at Kurtin Eye Specialists!!!!

Kurtin uses the latest technology to perform overall health check on my eyes. This eliminates having to dilate my eyes, which was huge. My entire visit lasted just under an hour compared to other providers, where, with dilation, I might have spent 2+ hours.

Before I found Dr. Kurtin, I was told my options were monovision or surgery, with my visual problems. I tried monovision with no success. After my visit with Dr. Kurtin, who explained very clearly what type of lens I needed, & was very specific in overall explanation, I knew I was with the right doctor. I am thrilled with the outcome & am seeing better than I have for 5 years. He is absolutely the BEST.

I had an amazing first experience with Kurtin Vision Specialists. I lost my glasses and needed a replacement quickly. Initially, I was looking for practically any eye doctor close to where I live that took my insurance. I do often prefer smaller practices to chain stores, but what drew me to the clinic originally was how personable the website looked. When I visited for my exam, everyone was incredibly helpful; you could tell they loved their jobs and wanted me to feel as comfortable as possible. Afterward I really wanted the same frames I had, and the staff managed to find them! It was wonderful having such a personable experience from a doctor. I would definitely recommend!

We were patients of Dr. Kurtin for a number of years when we lived in the Dallas area. Moved about 3-4 hours away and went to a number of doctors in our area. When my husband began having more serious eye problems we decided to drive the distance and see Dr. Kurtin again. Dr. Kurtin is a very good and professional eye doctor. He fitted me with new contacts very well. I can see so much better now with the new contacts. Additionally, he is very friendly and easy to get to know. Also, I did not have to wait in the waiting room at all, my appointment was at 10am and that is when they took me back to the exam room.

I visited the Kurtin Vision Specialists for the first time on December 5, 2018. I was very impressed with the staff and the doctor. I received superior attention and care. I was happy with every aspect of the visit. I will recommend this office to all of my co-workers, friends and family. I also purchased 2 pairs of glasses. This Dr knows what he is doing, and his office facility is very hi-tech, and efficient. No under or over treatment, just about right, focused, and hit the target. He spends enough time on patient, and understands exactly what your going through, very bright Dr, even more than three ophthalmologists, who were not clear about my problem. The only point is that they are mostly focused on contacts I think.

When I arrived at the office for the first time, the staff greeted me with such warmth that I immediately felt confident that we would be in good hands with Dr. Kurtin. (We had been referred from my daughter's pediatrician due to an accident, and we suspected she had a scratch on her eye.) Dr. Kurtin immediately identified the scratch on her cornea, set a course of treatment and reassured us about her prognosis. Upon leaving, the staff took great care of us, just as when we arrived. I highly recommend Dr. Kurtin and his team.

Staff and Dr. Kurtin were great to talk with and I believe I received a good evaluation of my eyesight. The degree of upfront paperwork was somewhat over the top, but understandable. I would like to have been given a written evaluation report of the Doctor's observations. I was not. All I received was a prescription.

I was referred to Kurtin Vision Specialists due to high astigmatism in order to consider contact lenses as an alternative to corrective surgery. The appointment desk was professional and courteous in scheduling. The finance staff member was thorough in answering questions before and after the appointment. I was impressed by the examination process, where I was taken through the most sophisticated (technology-wise) exam I have ever experienced. Dr. Kurtin spent an extraordinary amount of time with me and conducted several tests I had not previously had. When it came to exploring contact lens options for my eyes, he was systematic in his presentation of these and patient in answering my questions. I never felt rushed through any of this lengthy process. Kurtin's office is easy to find. While I didn't exercise the option, complimentary valet service is available at the complex where his office is located. I arrived early and, after check-in, was offered something to drink and a seat in a very comfortable-looking waiting area. However, I didn't even have a chance to sit down because I was taken in ahead of schedule. From pre-appointment to follow-up, every interaction has been respectful and polite. Thank you, Dr. Kurtin and staff.

My 6 year old daughter loves this place!!! I had no idea that her eye sight was bad until a note came home from school. When I booked the visit, they sent me all of the paperwork days before, and I was able to read it, complete it, and send it in before the visit. The day of the visit, we walked into the office stress free. Dr. Kurtin was wonderful with her. The staff there is top notch and put her at ease. They were able to get her prescription by measuring her eyes. She's in kindergarten, so they confirmed the measurements with a test of looking at shapes, numbers, and some letters. She even picked her frames out in the office on her first visit! And they are super-cute, too! I didn't know what to expect before coming into the office, and now I couldn't imagine taking her to another place.

This was my first visit to Kurtin Vision. The front desk manager was friendly, polite, and extremely helpful. Dr. Kurtin was amazing. I was extremely pleased with my visit and all services provided. I have keratoconus, and I've been told my condition is too far gone for glasses. Dr Kurtin was not only able to explain all my options, but actually was able to get my glasses prescription dialed in unlike several other experts I've used in the past. I would definitely recommend Dr Kurtin to anyone and I'm sending my wife there for an exam in a couple weeks.

I was referred to Dr. Kurtin by my primary care physician due to some problems I was experiencing with blurry vision and my recent diagnosis of diabetes. The eye examinations were very thorough and painless. I have always hated that "puffing" in my eyes. After the exam it was such a blessing to know that the problems I am experiencing is not diabetes related ... I just needed new glasses! Dr. Kurtin and the entire staff were fantastic. My daughter is 12 years old and Dr. Kurtin and his staff did a fantastic job In explaining all her options and describing each test they were performing, so she wouldn't be scared. She was at ease through the whole process. Great job!!!

My initial visit with Dr. Kurtin was the most positive eye doctor experience in my 25+ years as a contact lense wearer. He carefully listened to my vision concerns, and provided multiple alternatives for treatment to address each concern. I was not pressured to accept any specific treatment plan, and am optimistic that my new contacts will be the best I've had to date.

Ashley was very polite right when I walked in, she set me up with the paperwork I needed to fill out and afterwards she brought me back to get started. I was worried I would have to do that test thing where the puff of air gets sprayed into your eye and for me it has to be done at least 50 times because I always flinch. So not doing that was pretty great. Dr. Kurtin was very helpful, he made sure to explain everything and answer any questions I might have. He let me know how my vision changed and recommended certain courses of action to make sure I get set up with the correct prescription. He covered all the bases to ensure I am getting what was needed. Nina hooked me up too, she pulled several frames she felt would work and we went through each one. She genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with the selection I made. She would give positive feedback but also give suggestions on what she thought would work as well. Overall a great experience.

I would highly recommend this doctor and his office to anyone. They got us in right away and the staff was friendly and professional. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Dr Kurtin was a 'breath of fresh air' to me. I had searched for a doctor who would take the time to let me know what was going on with my eyesight now that I am beginning to see changes at 66 years of age and have diabetes. He was very detailed in explaining everything, and very encouraging to me. I was really concerned about what was happening with vision changes. I would highly recommend Dr Kurtin (already have!)to anyone...the best choice you could make. His staff were very friendly and patient with me as I made the decision to choose frames that were vastly different from the wire frames that I have been using for years!
