The team at Dr. Leverett's practice is professional and efficient. All my questions were answered by Dr. Leverett. From my eye exam to picking out my frames the team was professional and efficient. They offered Neurolens as part of the exam, it was my first time doing this or ever seeing it anywhere before. The process helps to find if there is a misalignment in your sight, if there is then they're able to help correct it with special lenses. After having done it I went home and researched it some more. Really cool technology. If you're looking for a professional team for your eye care, I would definitely recommend Leverett Eye care for your next eye exam or any form of eye care.

We've been going to Dr Leverett since about 2000 or 2001. We were not happy with the optometrist we saw after we first arrived in Virginia because he seemed more interested in selling us products than anything else. Dr Leverett and her associates are very nice people, professional, and their main concern is definitely keeping our eyes healthy. We won't go to anyone else!

I have been coming to this office for 13 years and I highly recommend Dr. Leverett, Dr. Rankin and the whole staff. One time, about 8 years ago, I tried one of the "Big Box" eye doctors- never make that mistake again. Anyone I know that needs to see an eye doctor, I always send them to to Dr. Leverett. I have been going to Dr. Leverett for twenty years. She and her staff are knowledgeable, helpful and kind. They assisted in scheduling my appointment. I arrived and just as I sat down my name was called. Facility is clean and well run. Dr. Leverett knows and understands my history, spends time discussing my concerns, reviewing my history and explaining my results. She offers a wide range of frames to choose from. When I was choosing my new frames the staff were patient and informative.

I was recently in a car accident where glass flew in the windshield. My eye had been irritated for over a week from that point on. I called Dr. Leverett's office and let them know I suspected that I had a glass particle in my eye. Although, I'm sure they were busy they were able to fit me in within 2 hours. I was so thankful for their willingness to do that. Dr. Leverett was very thorough and caring as she examined my eye and took precautions in case it had become infected. I was very please with how they handled the whole experience.

The staff at Leverette Eyecare are awesome! I went in with my two sons, one that was NOT being seen has severe ADHD and he suddenly had a major meltdown in the middle of the exam and the front staff as well as Dr. Rankin were very patient and understanding. As incredibly embarrassed as I was they didn’t make me feel worse they tried to help how they could which meant a lot. My older son successfully received his eye exam without me being there for majority of the exam and they were very understanding so I was grateful.

Received an appt. request confirmation on 10/25 at 10:42 AM and then 3 emails requesting me to confirm my appt on 10/25 @ 10:55 AM, 11/10 4:06 PM and 11/16 4:06 PM. I'm in my eighth decade of life but I'm not senile or have Alzheimer's yet. You may want to change your programing for reminder emails to forego sending them if already confirmed. The 11/10 email asked me to complete the new patient paperwork before my visit on 11/17 which i did and included my Anthem insurance and EyeMed insurance coverage information. The individual who did my initial intake information kept telling me that they needed to check my Medicare coverage and explained to him that I have Anthem and Medicare Part A hospital coverage. This happened several times about my Medicare coverage so my only conclusion is he did not review my new patient paperwork. What would you conclude? Lastly I had specifically requested a field of vision test in my paperwork to determine if there were changes from my last test; however that will need to wait until February 2023. What is also concerning is that you did not ask for any records to be sent to you from my ophthalmologist seeing that previous retinal surgery was in my history. Did anyone in the office review the patient paperwork before my appointment?

Overall this was a fantastic experience! They were on time, personable, efficient etc. I was very happy. The only reason they get 4 stars is because they are still super aggressive about masks (August 2022). They don't even have their coffee available "because of Covid". I'm pretty far on the other side of this approach and I realize there are differing opinions. I'm on the side of "cloth masks are basically useless". Again, minus the mask issue, they are amazing and I will be using them as my eye doc moving forward. Great overall experience!!

Awesome experience! I am so happy we found this practice! finding someone who would see my 4 year old whom has autism has been challenging. A different practice we tried who said this wasn't an issue ended up leaving us a bit anxious about another eye exam. At Leverett the staff was amazing with my son! I loved that I was able to complete paperwork online prior to the appointment so my hands could be free to keep my son out of trouble. We waited maybe 4 minutes in the waiting area before going back which was great. The gentleman who did the initial screenings was so patient and managed to get my son to do just about everything which blew my mind given previous experiences at other practices. Dr. Ashley was fantastic as well! She listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. She suggested coming back another day to do the eye drops and that exam which is such a great idea. Most places just want things done all at once but as a special needs parent getting to see my son leave an appointment that went well without anything stressful for him was amazing. Even though he doesn't verbalize his feelings much I could tell my son was very happy with himself because he was able to do almost everything he needed to during the visit. I won't ever take my kids anyplace besides Leverett from now on!

Dr. Leverette is an outstanding eye doctor. I have been in her care for awhile now. It started with a routine checkup in which she found cataracts in both eyes. Next, she referred me to Dr. Scoper at Virginia Eye Consultants for surgery to remove the cataracts from both eyes. During this time, she continued to monitor my progress. Now I am wearing my new prescription for my "new" eyes, After having to wear glasses since I was 12-years-old, I am thrilled to say I can now see better than I have since I was 12! Like I stated before, Dr. Leverette is outstanding, very careful, and thorough. She actually listens to what you say, does testing using topnotch equipment, THINKS about the best treatment plan for your visual problems, and will persevere to ensure a successful outcome. Her entire staff is well trained, friendly, kind-hearted, and accommodating. It was truthfully a great experience considering the seriousness and scariness of the situation. Our eyes are so very important to our health and quality of life.

UPON ARRIVING I NOTICED A GENTLEMAN SHOVLING THE SIDEWALK AREA OF EXTRA SALT FROM OUR RECENT SNOWFALL. HE STATED TO ME THAT THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED FROM 1:00 TO 2:00 FOR LUNCH. I STATED THAT WAS NO PROBLEM AND THAT I WOULD WAIT IN THE CAR. I ALSO STATED THAT THE REASON I WAS SO EARLY WAS THAT I WAS A NEW PATIENT AND WANTED THE EXTRA TIME TO FILL OUT FORMS. A FEW MINUTES LATER HE RETURNED WITH A CLIPBOARD AND THE PAPER WORK . AT THE TIME I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS A NICE GESTURE. LATER DURING MY TIME AT THE OFFICE I MENTIONED THIS ENCOUNTER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE GENTLEMAN WAS THE HUSBAND OF THE OWNER.. TWO THINGS STRUCK ME ABOUT THIS BUSINESS. 1. THE HUSBAND OF THE OWNER WAS DOING WORK AROUND THE FACILITY AND WAS CORDIAL ENOUGH TO GO OUT OF HIS WAY TO PROVIDEN ME WITH THESE PATIENT FORMS. AND #2 AND THIS MAY BE THE MOST IMPORTANT. THE BUSINESS CLOSES DOWN FROM 1PM TO 2PM SO THAT ALL EMPLOYEES CAN HAVE LUNCH OR JUST TAKE A BREAK. I am a returning patient. I called the office to reschedule my appointment because for some reason I was unable to complete it on line. I talked to Sarah who was courteous and very helpful as always. My appointment was for 10AM, I was brought back by the tech at approximately 10:15 a reasonable wait as there were other patients leaving and checking out. The technician ( I forgot her name ) was courteous and very professional and explained each step in the process to ensure I knew what was going on. After her initial steps she placed the drops in my eyes and brought me to another room for pictures of my eyes, again very professional. She then brought me back to the exam room where I waited for Dr Leverett to come in and finish the exam. I am totally satisfied with the entire process and the professionalism of the staff. One final comment- I hate that couch in the waiting area. It feels like it belongs in a 1970’s sunken living room!😀 Thank you for the excellent care.

My sister referred me to this practice in 2014, and I was so excited to re-establish care here after moving back from the DC/NoVA area. The entire staff is knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. The customer service and bedside (or I guess, chairside?) manner is top tier, so I felt comfortable and well-attended to. I also noticed the all of the little details that ensure everything is clean and sanitized between each patient which I really appreciated! 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for an optometrist!

Excellent first impression. Probably one of the best optometrists I've been to. I was a bit of a sass at first (sorry ladies) and everyone there was still so friendly and patient! The exam was very thorough and all questions I had were answered and clear. I felt very well taken care of there. My only complaint is the woman in the dispensary. She was very kind but lacked instruction. We had a very awkward staring contest when I was waiting for her to tell me what she needed me to do. Overall great experience!

I have been coming to Dr Leverett for a long time. The entire staff and Dr Leverett take good care of me and I am sure all their other patients as well.. They all treat you like family. I was concerned since I experienced floaters for the first time in my life on Friday night, then Saturday, then Sundsy. I emailed Dr Leverett on Sunday night with my issues and received a call from her wonderful staff that Dr Leverett wanted me to come in Monday to insure everything was fine with my retina. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. I received a through examination, mapping etc and was so happy Dr Leverett said my retina was intact but wants to see me in 6 weeks. Sooner if I have flashes etc...I was relieved and feel I am blessed to have Dr Leverett and her staff take such an interest in their patients to insure they are taken care of. I LOVE THEM ALL! Staff was good. Seating was not so good. Having just 2 seats in your waiting area I was sent to wait in the eyeglass area. That was both times I needed to wait in the waiting area. I absolutely love Dr. Marcia Leverett! I initially went into the office in 2018 looking for somewhere to get my eye exam as I moved here from California. I moved back to California and still come to see her for my exams when I visit. She's great. The staff is also so friendly and helpful. The wait is never too long, there are many frames to pick from and don't worry about being indecisive they all help you out with your choice if you may need it! :) Overall I have had very pleasant experiences. My only regret is not finding her sooner!

My family has been coming here for several years and the doctors always caution against our habit of buying eyeglasses online and pushed us towards their expert in-house sales staff that can take the best measurements. This year, we finally opted to get my 4 year old glasses in-house. There was little selection of affordable glasses for kids. The employee took a measurement by holding a ruler freehand up to his face and hoping for the best. We came back to pick up the glasses and they were not the right measurement. Let's try that freehand measurement again. We had to waste more time and come back after they were fixed. After about a month of use, the frames broke. They replaced them for free but if it happens again it won't be free. Hopefully the second pair lasts longer. I have no complaints about the medical side of the house and value them immensely. However, next year I think we'll just buy glasses at Target as they have plenty of budget-friendly glasses and better measurement methods. Why pay more if they'll just fall apart?

I asked my friends for a recommendation for a pediatric eye doctor and was recommended this office, and I couldn’t be any happier. The staff was friendly and Dr. Ashely was the best! She did a wonderful job with my son during the whole exam and really helped him to relax. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone.

Just had my visit this week. They are following all the safety protocols. Everyone is wearing their masks, and wearing them properly. I arrived 5 min before my appointment time and they got me in right away. They have some new testing equipment. They explained to me what it was testing. She has quite a few pieces of testing equipment that tests for things like range of vision, thickness of the cornea, photographs the inside of my eyes, etc. I love modern science. :)

The staff are very attentive and the environment is covid friendly. The chairs to be examined in have a nice note that its sanitized from the previous patient. Everyone is very personable and no one feels like a first time patient.

This was my 1st visit to the doctor. I was having unique vision orbs. She was very thorough with testing and asked many questions to get a feel for what was happening. There was no rushing the visit and she took time in explaining and answering questions. I will continue to use her for all my eye care needs.
