I have been going to Dr.Plow since he was in Walmart in horseheads! It’s been a pleasure to see his business grow and flourish into what it is now. I went to the new office this recent visit because it’s closer for me and it’s just as beautiful as the main one and the staff is just as friendly!

I take my yearly eye exams very seriously and have been using The Vision Center (Dr. Plow) since 2010. The practice is not just for eye glasses and contacts, and offers up to date equipment with several options to review the health of the eye. The new Painted Post location is a great addition. I highly recommend The Vision Center.

Dr Plow is awesome! We have been coming to the Vision Center for years and are extremely happy with Dr Plow and all of his staff. We just came to the new office in Painted Post last week and loved it too. It is very clean welcoming and there are a lot of frames on display to pick from. Sydney was excellent in doing our screenings. She also helped us pick out our glasses and did an amazing job. Scott and Ashley were great too! We will definitely keep coming to the Vision Center for our yearly exams and new glasses. And am so glad the Painted Post office is now open as it will save us travel time. Thank you for all you do!

In my opinion, the receptionist was not very friendly. She definitely did not make me feel comfortable. The exam with doctor Plow was very good. I was upset that the rental exam was $30 out of pocket. Also, I'm very taken back that frame and lense insurance is $15 each! I have had glasses for 50 years. this is the first time I ever had to pay for coverage! With Everyone else a one year warranty automatically comes with the glasses! I'm. Not sure I will come back due to the extra charges. The young lady Sidney who helped me select my glasses was awesome. The actual exam and Sydney are 5 star. The other experiences are a two star.

The staff was very helpful, friendly, and upbeat. There was very little wait time. Dr. Plow took his time and answered all of my question. My exam was very thorough. When it came to picking out frames, the whole gang jumped in and helped me make my decision. Overall, the office has a very positive vibe.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I was so impressed with the Vision Center! It was a welcoming environment with the most polite and friendly staff. Very clean and modern facility. Karen, my technician explained everything very clearly and was so sweet. Dr. O’Connor was fabulous. Caylin helped me pick out a perfect pair of glasses for my budget. Their friendliness and efficiency made me feel like I was the most special patient they had. Great personal touch! I will be recommending the Vision Center to anyone looking for a new eye doctor.

As a first time customer, walking in to the office was very inviting. The receptionist quickly took my information and had me wait for the doctor. The coffee in the loby was a plus. The doctor (Plow) was easy to talk to and did a good job explaining his process. When i was sent back to the loby to speak with somone on the floor regarding my contact lens order it was very slow. After waiting for an employee to meet with me, she did not seem very knowledgeable. I asked her about my insurance plan and what it covered. She was unsure and had to get a second opinion. While i watied for her to return, i found a website on my phone that offered the same contacts that she was offering me for $24.00 per box. Each box would last for 6 months. I would need a box for each eye which would have brought my total to $48.00. This gave me a refrence point as to what i felt it should be costing me at the doctors office. When she returned, she told me that my insurance (VSP) would not cover the cost of the contacts and that would have to pay $58.00 for a 6 month supply. This price was more than what i had found them online for which i was confused about. I ended up declining the contacts due to the cost difference and not understanding my $130.00 allowance through my insurance for contacts. She then told me that i could apply my allowance to a pair of glasses instead. She walked me over to the glasses and could not find anything within my allowance that the insurance company gave me. The glasses were not easy to find prices on so the process took over 20 min. I ended up leaving without glasses or contacts and had a $70.00 bill which wasn't covered by insurance. I was made aware of a $30 retinal scan charge before i agreed to it. So i left the office with no contacts or glasses and a $70.00 bill. I'm not sure if the frustration should be pointed at the insurance company or the doctors office. The isurance company listed this business as a prefered provider.

Our visit was truly wonderful. From the time we walked through the day until we left everyone was professional and sincere. The girls at the front desk were kind and very helpful. The young lady doing our first eye tests was very helpful and knowledgeable! Dr. O’ Connor was professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about his work covering all details for both of us. The young ladies who fit us for new glasses were very nice and the gentleman who measured for a correct fit was very friendly and helpful.

It is a very positive atmosphere. From the first person that does the initial eye "stuff", Dr. Plow is always a hoot, and then girl that helped me pick out my glasses was fun! Dr. was great but when it came time to purchase new glasses all i wanted was new lense in my existing frames as they were like brand new but was told they were bent and couldnt do it. It makes me wonder if they work on commision, if so they shouldnt be cause i wont be back, in fact i will be down to get my last visit perscription and purchase else where.

Michael, We are sorry to hear that your recent visit did not meet your expectations pertaining to your eyeglasses. Our staff does not work on commission, but recommends the best solutions to address your needs. We regularly replace lenses in customer's frames, but unfortunately when the frame appears to be damaged we do not want to break the frame or have the lenses fall out. If you have another frame that you would like to use, please let us know. We would be happy to help.

I was provided service without having my insurance explained to me. When i set up the appointment, I specifically said that I didnt want to go through with anything that isnt covered by insurance....Well, at the end, I was left with an unexpected $90 charge because services WERE provided that my insurance didnt cover. If i had known this, I wouldn't have went along with the exam. I had spent a good amount of time looking at frames for both regular glasses and safety glasses just to be told that it was recommended not to get them because of the thickness of my perscription... This would have been good to know BEFORE I spent over an hour deciding what style of frames I liked. (I figured if I was going to spend a few hundred dollars on glasses, that Id take my time to make sure I liked what I was getting) This drastically limited my choices to a couple options. After having all of this happen, i felt overwhelmed and upset so I decided not to order any products except the safety glasses (which I dont like very much but need for work) and just leave with copies of my perscriptions. The exams I recieved were professional and timely. Dr O'Connor did a great job in that reguard. The rest of the exsperiance was uncomfortable.

Loved the variety of frames available. Dr O'Conner was awesome. The rest of the staff seemed snobby and short. More stuck up than normal. I don't know if was the day and how they are short staffed. Was not impressed with that aspect of my visit. I will return but if I get the same treatment I will leave right on the spot and go somewhere else.

I recently decided to switch my family’s eye care to a new practice due to insurance reasons. After all close practices being ruled out, I looked through all the reviews on The Vision Center & thought they seemed like they would be a great fit, even with the 25 min drive each way. I was impressed with their beautiful, clean & visually appealing facility. The staff was very friendly- from the front desk associates, assistants, and doctors. I felt like the exam was very thorough and more was checked there, than my last several years of appointments with my previous provider. The Doctor explained everything well as far as where my vision and eye health was. The selection of frames was amazing and I was very happy to see high end brands, as well as, budget friendly options that would fit everyone’s needs. Which was a breath of fresh air after struggling to just settle on a pair of frames I liked at my old providers office. The technicians who assisted with the frames were very nice and made you feel comfortable being there. When it came time for payment, I was throughly informed what was covered for each individual item on the invoice by my insurance and what I was paying for after it was applied. There was no guessing what you were paying for, because it was clearly explained down to the penny. I never had to wait more than just a couple minutes before the next person was assisting me. The appointment moved right along and since I was able to find a frames I loved very easily, I was in & out in just 45 mins total. I was very pleased with my experience & thankful I decided to switch to The Vision Center!

First I was told because I have Medicare there would not be a charge as soon as I was finished I was told there was a $15 charge. Then when they were finished with my eye test I was not given a sheet saying what my prescription was so I would not be able to get glasses then they said we'll see you in a year my question is why they did nothing for me no help I will never go back to visions again I will find someplace else to go not please with the service at all when at the beginning I was told to bring in my old glasses I received from them and they could update the glassware and use the frames. Pretty much it sounds like I was just told what I wanted to hear!

Edward, Your medical insurance determines what you are charged, not our office. Medicare covers medically-necessary office visits to monitor ocular health for signs of damage due to chronic medical conditions. Determining an eyeglass Rx is not part of a medical visit and is therefore not covered by medical insurance. However, this service could be performed at these visits, if requested. All offices will process your insurance the exact same way, as dictated by your insurance plan. If you have any further questions, please contact our office or your insurance company.

I was in for my daughter’s eye exam... I asked to try contacts for her. This is my first time having a contact fitting. I was completely unaware there was a charge of approx. $60. I feel as though this should be mentioned before setting aside time to try them. I understand there is fee’s and I’m okay with that... but I think that’s a large charge to not communicate before hand. Always a relief to have Dr. Plow give me the thorough exam I’ve grown to understand really is necessary in order to get my eye glasses correctly prescribed to match each eye (both near and far). My headaches usually subside soon after. It’s always great to see clearly and crisply again every year or so as my eyes continuously change with aging. Finding a eye doctor today (or any doctor for that fact) who will spend the necessary time to adequately treat one is a sign of a dedicated professional. As a child I went to an optometrist that seemed to really care about my eyes and always gave me lenses that were truly clear to see out of. I have not had that in years until I met Dr. Plow. First time in years I feel I actually had a good eye exam and the end result looked more clear then I have seen in a long time. They take the Davis Vision coverage my company provides and that's really nice. The Davis collection of frames is a little small but I've switched to contacts so it doesn't bother me. For my contact fitment they checked my eye health and prescription again. Then I had a staff member teach me how to put in the contacts she was compassionate and encouraging which ultimately led to me getting them in and out of my eyes fine.

My visit to the Vision Center was both informative and enjoyable. From the time I walked in everyone was very friendly. Being a gadget lover I was very impressed with the new machine that scans the back of the eyes! Having used it I can say it was much easier than using drops to dilate the eyes. Dr.O’connor took the time to explain my questions about its inner workings and to explain to me what the images I saw on the computer represented. Once I was done the exam I was able to roam around and look at a large selection of frames for glasses. The person taking care of me took the time to explain what my insurance would cover and explained the options available to me. The optician that took my measurements was equally knowledgeable and friendly and was able to replace the nose pads on my old glasses . All in all from entrance to exit I was impressed with my visit! I would recommend them to anyone needing eye care!

First off I ABSOLUTELY HATE my face being touched. That being said everyone there understood my anxiety and was calm and respective of that. They throughly explained every step of the process to me and made me feel welcome and comfortable. I’ve had the same eye doctor almost 15 years so coming to a new place (due to my dr’s retirement) I was sketchy and nervous. I’ll say this.... if you’re in need these people will take care of you without a doubt. I went in for a full eye exam, glasses, and sunglasses. Staff is kind and courteous, however I have been over billed twice. Which has screwed up my checking account. The staff fixed it but the wrong amount stayed pending in my account for several days. I feel they overlooked the issue and did not say how they would remedy the situation.

I recently had major shoulder surgery one week before my appointment so i was in a sling at my appointment. The lady who was supposed to help me when choosing frames was very pushy and rude. She was bothered by the fact that she had to assist me because i was one handed. I also have an established Workers Compensation case for migraines (which i advised the staff of) so even though ive lost my job and good medical insurance i simply couldn't just settle for what Fidelis covered. She acted very perturbed because my mom and i were asking too many questions. I was willing to pay out of pocket 100% for prescription sunglasses and new frames/lenses with progressive lenses, transitions, and crizal and vocalized this to her numerous times. However she was so rude I walked out and wont be returning!!!! It's sad how she is treating people especially considering the economic status of the world today. My economic status and insurance should not affect how she treated me or anyone else for that matter!

I moved to Binghamton NY a few years ago but did not want to switch eye doctors because I really love The Vision Center. They keep up to date with new technology that other offices do not offer. The eye scanner that shows warning signs for future problems is definitely worth it. My doctor took the time to explain the pictures to me and help me find the right contacts for my eyes. Well worth the hour drive!

I have always had trouble with glasses. It always seemed that the prescription wasnt quite right and I would suffer with a headache for a week till my eyes got used to it. I started going to Dr. Plow 6 years ago and since then, I have not had any issues with headaches or having to get used to my new perscription, it is always spot on!

We were greeted with friendliness! After checking in & some new patient paperwork, we were on our way. The service we received was outstanding. The staff & Dr. Plow were very thorough. After getting our prescriptions, my husband & I had to pick out glasses. I had a pile of 6. The staff were super helpful in helping me narrow down what looked the best on me. The ladies were so patient & so helpful! Thank you!

I WAS SO MAD. I HAD AN APPOINTMENT AT 11:00 AM,, i ARRIVED AT 10:50 AM. AFTER ALMOST 20 MINUTES I WAS BROUGHT BACK INTO THE ROOM WHERE I HAD THE PUFF OF AIR TEST, THEN HAD TO GO BACK INTO THE WAITING ROOM, AFTER ANOTHER 10-15 MINUTES, THE NURSE TOOK ME BACK AND AFTER ANOTHER 10-15 MINUTES THE DOCTOR FINALLY CAME IN,, AFTER THE EXAM WHICH TOOK ABOUT 15 MINUTES, HE DILATED MY EYES AND I AGAIN HAD TO GO INTO THE WAITING ROOM.. IT TOOK ALMOST 40 MINUTES FOR MY PUPILS TO DILATE, AND WAS AGAIN TAKEN INTO THE EXAM ROOM. THEN IT WAS ALMOST ANOTHER 30 MINUTES FOR THE DOCTOR TO RETURN. HE LOOKED INTO MY EYES AGAIN AND SAID HOW I PROBABLY HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, WHICH i DO NOT HAVE. THEN I WAS TAKEN TO THE WAITING ROOM TO HAVE MY NEW PRESCRIPTION WRITTEN UP, THE NURSE WAS PUTTING INFORMATION INTO THE COMPUTER, AND THEN SHE SAYS " THE DOCTOR FORGOT TO PUT THE EXAM NOTES INTO THE FILE. .MY HUSBAND HAD A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT AT 1:30 PM, WHICH WE HAD TO CANCEL SINCE WE WERE BOTH TOGETHER AT VISION CENTER. i TOLD THE NURSE THAT I NEEDED TO GO RIGHT THEN SINCE WE HAD OTHER APPOINTMENTS AND WAS RUNNING BEHIND. I THEN LEFT AND MY HUSBAND TOLD ME IN THE CAR HE HAD TO CANCEL BOTH OUR OTHER APPOINTMENTS SINCE WE WE WERE AT VISION CENTER FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE, THE DOCTORS ERROR FOR FORGETTING TO PUT THE NOTES IN THE FILE,,, I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED THAT I HAD TO BE THERE FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS AND HAD TO CANCEL OTHER DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS I HAD SCHEDULED FOR THE SAME DAY SINCE I DIDNT REALIZE THAT THE VISION CENTER IN BIG FLATS, NY WAS SO SLOW AND DID NOT LET PAITENTS THAT THE DOCTOR WAS RUNNING BEHIND. IF THEY HAD DONE THAT, I WOULD OF RESCHEDULED THE EYE EXAM, THE OTHER DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS WERE VERY IMPORTANT FOR MY HUSBANDS MEDICAL ISSUES. I WILL NEVER GO TO VISION CENTER AGAIN, THE DOCTOR AND OFFICE PERSONAL WERE VERY RUDE AND NOT AT ALL INFORMING THE PAITENTS THERE OF ANY DELAYS.

All my husband and I wanted was the "Annual Eye Exam-covered in full" listed in our MPV Coverage Information. We were unexpectedly charged for "1 Complex Contact Lens Re-Eval" @$60 each. No one told us before or during the exam that there was an extra charge or that the procedure was being done. People need to know what procedure and how much it costs BEFORE they are billed.

We do try to help patients understand their coverage, but whether a particular service is covered is the patient's responsibility. If you decide to not wear contact lenses in the future, this service will not be performed and not billed. My husband and I have been patients at the Vision Center (located behind the Toys R Us store) for several years and have been pleased with the courteous and professional service we receive from all of the staff. The doctors are great and the selection of eye wear at competitive prices is wonderful. They are up to date on the latest in eye health and eye care and we plan to continue using them in the future.

The Vision Center has always taken great care of my wife and I. The staff are very friendly and willing to help in anyway they can. They always address my questions and concerns at the time of need, and not once have I had an issue where services or help could not be provided. I feel my vision is well taken care of when I go to the Vision Center. Any time I need to have my frames adjusted, new nose pieces installed, or just want to look around for a potential upgrade... I've never had a problem.

Disappointed!! Had my appointment with Dr. Plow. He is absolutely wonderful. Had a great experience choosing frames and ordering new glasses with Kristi. It has almost been 30 days and I have not received my new glasses. They did come in once and I was told that they would have to be sent back because of blemishes, which I understand. But when I asked the gentleman when they would be ready he said "They will be ready when their ready". Found the attitude very disturbing and in helpful. I will defiantly consider going somewhere else when my next eye exam is do. And I say this because this is the second bad experience I have had at your establishment. The first bad experience was with the same gentleman. Ultimately I am very disappointed with my experience and i do NOT HAVE NEW GLASSES!! Which have already been paid for...

From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted very cheerfully. The Vision Center is an eye care center with a caring staff, competent docs, and great advisors on eye wear style, appropriate lenses, and pricing options. An emergency often tests the quality of a business. Recently, I had something in my eye. It felt like it was tearing through the eye! I went to the VC and was immediately given care--in spite of a busy schedule already in existence. The staff was responsive and caring. There was a detailed check to guarantee there would be no glitches with my major medical insurance coverage. From my own experiences, I'd highly recommend the VC for family eye care.

I feel as though I’ve given The Vision Center the benefit of the doubt for the past two years that they have had my business. After today, however, I am officially done. I feel that there is zero understanding or voluntary/helpful explanation for how expensive an annual exam is and not one doctor or member of the staff has EVER been overly friendly or helpful to my husband or me. The staff and doctors are nice enough but they are certainly not overly friendly and I was made to feel poor and untrustworthy by a certain employee today when I went to pick up my glasses. I thought picking up my glasses would be a quick “in and out” experience but the process was not explained well to me at my initial visit and I was left feeling very embarrassed and unprepared today.

I have been to many eye doctors throughout my life. I have been with The Vision Center for almost 3 years now. I would NEVER go anywhere else now! The Vision Center staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and all around amazing! I had gone to a previous eye doctor that claimed I would need $600 eye drops as I was pre-glaucomic. Dr. Plow explained that it is actually due to my high eye pressure; no need for concern or pricey eye drops. He also recommended a contact for astigmatism in my right eye. I have never seen better than I am seeing now! I would recommend this place to everyone with eye care needs!!!

Came in with a eye problem, no soulutions, no answers, I couldn't read the eye exam..... the doctors conclusion was to just wait and see if it becomes okay..... I can't not drive, or work and am using a magnifying glass to type this. Very disappointed with diagnoses and solutions. I have an appointment schdualed but I can't say as I will be back. There's several other eye places and I suggest looking into them.

Michael, I am sorry for the confusion, but Dr. O'Connor did come up with a definitive diagnosis using advanced testing. Unfortunately there is no immediate cure for this condition, except time. I understand this can be frustrating. We will have him call you tomorrow to further explain the situation

In hind-sight it was a very confusing visit. My eye exam detected a large cataract in my left eye and a smaller cataract in right eye. I ended up ordering a pair of safety glasses anyhow that I now know will not work for me because I had cataract surgery and my eye sight has completely changed. I think the person who waited on me should of know that ahead of time and not wasted my time and money or his time. I was never contacted again about my safety glasses arriving so maybe (and hopefully) they were never ordered.

Mr. Liddick, I am not sure why you were confused, but you were referred for surgery by the doctor, as you know, and no glasses were ordered by you nor paid for by you. I've been to other eye doctors where it feels like they're trying to sell you on services, procedures, and things you don't really need. I really didn't get any of that from Dr. Plow and the Vision Center team. If anything, Dr. Plow went out of his way to avoid "selling" me anything and provided professional insight and advice, always allowing me to make the final decision regarding my eye care. This is the way a patient should feel when they visit a doctor, and I look forward to many more years of being their patient.

When I called to schedule an appointment for my daughter, I gave the receptionist our insurance information, and she said she would check to make sure the visit would be covered, and would call me if it would not be covered. She did not do this. My husband and daughter arrived for the appointment, and THEN the receptionist tried to verify insurance coverage; however, the insurance company website was down. They proceeded with the exam, and my husband paid for it. When we returned a few days later to pick out frames, we were told that your office does not accept our insurance. I am very unhappy, as the receptionist told me when scheduling the appointment that she would check that BEFORE the date of the appointment, and call me if it would not be covered.

We spoke today on the phone and cleared up a few things regarding your recent visit. We explained that the staff tried to verify your benefits for 2 days prior to the visit, but since your insurance company was closed due to the holiday, we were not able to do that. Also, on the day of your visit, the insurance company's system was down, so once again we could not verify your benefits. We do our best to find out what benefits our patients are entitled to prior to their appointment, but in some cases we cannot do this and then must collect fees for services up front. As for not accepting your plan, there must have been some miscommunication. We do accept the plan, but your policy did not cover this type of appointment. We subsequently did more research and found a discount plan for you and applied these discounts to your account. We apologize for the situation and hope that we can continue to deliver superior service to your family in the future.

I don't know her name but the young lady with long straight blonde hair was the most personable and helpful sales associate that I've encountered at the Vision center.

I like Dr. Plow and Jen Taber, but I find most of the rest of the staff to be unfriendly and not terribly professional. The young woman that greeted me at reception this time was polite and friendly but I was obviously interrupting a personal phone call. The receptionist that has been there for years is grouchy and my kids are afraid of her. The eye glasses technician usually reaks of cigarette smoke and I don't like to have him get to close to me because the smell is offensive. So I haven't had my glasses updated in years. Lastly I show up a few minutes early anticipating there might be paperwork to deal with. Then the wait is almost always 30 mins or more. My time is valuable too!

After searching for a personable, patient and professional eye care center...(for about two years) ...and having been in and out of three other central NY facilities with various eye injuries-trade related... I was referred to Dr. Plow's office by a business client... Herself a happy (and discerning patient of his)! Whereupon after the very first visit I quickly came to realize I was finally in a good place and in a office that cared, was safe, modern, well light, conscientious and yes, patient. Each and every time any of the terrific (and knowledgable staff) has proven itself up to the task! After many visits-some lengthy... Some even late to my appointment... And now with about 10 pair of prescription glasses-some technical (specifically for work), some plain and some fashionable... And a pair just for reading...and some sunglasses to ease my cataract... I'm here to say that YES! I'm a client who drives about a hour to get here-one way! And yes! I can see! And yes, I love it here! Dr. Plow takes the time. Roxanne gets it done. Steve knows his glasses... The entire staff is awesome... All the women about the floor help! Now if other CNY businesses could take note! ...I'm impressed and I'm careful who gets my money. The Vision Center is definitely at the top!

I had my appointment at 10:20 and was a few minutes early checked over paper work and everything was good and within an minute or two I was called to have my pictures taken of my eyes when that was done went into a waiting room and again within just a couple of minutes Dr. Plow came in and did the eye exam. everyone one is always very friendly and helpful and enjoy the one time a year I have to go to the eye Dr.

Although the service I received was adequate, the selection of frames was sorely lacking and since my vision program only allows me new lenses and eye exam once a year and new frames every two years, each time I see a photo of myself or look in the mirror, I am reminded those are not the eyeglass frames I wanted :(

Thomas, I'm sorry you didn't find a frame that you were happy with. We do have one of the largest selections of frames in the region and carry a wide range of very stylish designer frames such as Nike, Oakley, Ray-Ban, Nautica, etc. Unfortunately we cannot carry every style to satisfy every single person's taste, though. If you saw something you liked elsewhere, we might have been able to get it for you. We always go out of our way to help people find what they will be happy with. Stop back in often as our selection changes regularly.

I do not have eye insurance, which made me a bit nervous at first but the exam ended up being very affordable. The building is well kept and the frames selection includes quite a bit of variety. My daughter's visit went very well. The staff are always fast to welcome us in the door and get the process started. Dr. Plow is very sensitive to my daughter's eye care. She is extremely light sensitive and he makes it a point to do what he can to make it a pleasant exam for her. He explained our options thoroughly and gave us our due time to bring up concerns and cares for her eyes. She wears contacts and eyeglasses and her vision is very poor. So, we our comforted that we have a great eye doctor who cares and is concerned for her eye sight as we are.

During my time there, I overheard an older man expressing appreciation to Tracy, for what he referred to as her "excellent bedside manner". He also offered her praise for the ways she handled kids in the waiting area. Dr. Plow offered exceptional service and is obviously very competent, open and knowledgeable. I was very impressed by the staff and service during my appointment.

Employees seemed to be more friendly and happy to be at work (maybe because of the new building). Still seems a bit pricey. I waited until I had insurance so that I could afford contacts. I always had a great experience before when coming to this office but I was disappointed with the way I was greeted when I came in. The receptionist was picked up the phone in the middle of me talking to her to make an outgoing phone call that did not pertain to me. In fact she was on the phone the entire time I was checking in with her even though I had question I would like to have answered. I then had to wait over an hour passed my scheduled time to see the Dr. The saving grace was the wonderful woman who helped me at the end of my appointment. She was not even the person who was supposed to help me but noticed I had been forgot about in regards to my glasses selection. She was beyond helpful and I wish I knew her name. I was set to look for a new office until I interacted with her and decided I will go back one more time because every place has an off day.

Kristen, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the poor experience you had recently. We always try to exceed expectations and obviously in this case we failed. After thoroughly reviewing the situation, it appears that our newly hired staff member was filling-in for our receptionist who was on vacation and this was who you dealt with. We will certainly review this with her so it does not happen again. As for the long wait, due to an unforeseen end-of-year rush, we were overwhelmed with many walk-in patients that we did not anticipate which slowed us down. We will plan better in the future to be adequately staffed during these times. I believe the staff member who helped you was Jennifer. Thank you for understanding we had a "bad day".

Both my husband and I were so very pleased with our care. I felt that every test and procedure were explained thoroughly. The staff helped us pick out great frames, also. Our fees have stayed relatively the same over the past 2 years and in many cases with contact lenses, have decreased as we have priced our contact lenses to mirror the largest online retailer for the most part. The contacts I received at my appointment did not fit proot a different properly. I returned a few hours later and got a different pair that also do not fit properly. I have never had this problem in all the years I have worn contacts. I am very disappointed in my experience with this.

Mrs. Rogers, We apologize for the fitting issue with your new contact lenses. As a new patient we sometimes have to try a few different lenses to see what is comfortable for each person. Mrs. Davies, We apologize for feeling rushed at your last visit. We do try to give every patient the time they need during the examination which is why we schedule 20 minute appointments, but we may have been backed up during the time of your visit due to circumstances out of our control (i.e. emergencies). Our optical department can get busy and a bit loud at times due to people browsing and patients picking up eye wear. We respect your time and value the trust you place in us. If you would like a re-check, please contact our office manager and we will make arrangements for a no-charge visit to address any concerns/questions you may still have.

Thank you for the kind words. We do try very hard to deliver an exceptional experience. As for our prices, the only fee that increased was our examination fee and that was earlier in the year. Our eyeglass lens fee has been the same for many years and a few of our contact lens fees have actually been reduced. We have also introduced an $89 complete eyeglass package for those in need of an inexpensive pair of glasses. We hope that you still find great value in our products and services despite the small increases that need to occur over the years, as is the case in all businesses.

I was not happy with the process to pick up my glasses or the person fitting them. She was more interested in selling me her jewelry than listening to my thoughts on the new glasses and lenses. She just kept saying that I will get use to them because the rx had changed slightly. I have given them a few days and they still do not feel correct.

Kathleen, Sorry for the difficulty in picking up your glasses. Often times there is a period of adjustment needed to get used to a new prescription, but if there still seems to be an issue after 1 week, just come back in and we make sure it is fixed. Thank you

Right from my first phone call when they got me in the very next day, and through out my visit, the staff was professional, friendly and helpful.
