I had a very prompt and good experience at Moscow Family Dentistry. Everyone is very competent and I have great confidence in Dr. Bowen.

Everyone was lovely. Making an appt was easy, checking in was pleasant even though I'd not finished my new patient paperwork no one was frustrated. The dental assistant was kind and pleasant and the dentist answered all my questions and gave options complete with price ranges. I recently moved here and had put off finding a new dentist because I'd been at the same practice for over 20 years, but I'm definitely going back.

I've gone to Dr. Bowen for the last four years, and I've always received excellent care. He is proactive in treating problems, but not so aggressive about smaller issues that may resolve on their own, I've appreciated the balance he strikes in his practice. My teeth are great now!

I have always experienced the highest dental care, professionalism, and courtesy from the staff and doctors at Moscow Family Dentistry. I had my 4 year old grandson with me for my dental cleaning. Casey answered every one of his many questions concerning my cleaning and the instruments in the office. Her gentleness, patience, good nature, professionalism, and caring demeanor was very encouraging and will go along way for when he has his next dental visit. I most strongly recommend Moscow Family Dentistry to those seeking quality dental care and a caring team of professionals.

This visit didn't seem as thorough as previous visits. First time with Dr. Garret and I was surprised he was present just a few minutes and didn't have much to say. Cleaning and fluoride treatments seemed rushed and not as thorough as before. No gum measurements were taken as before. Perhaps because it was late afternoon (last appointment of the day?). My next appointment was booked but I was not given a reminder card as before. I wonder when it is?

I usually dread going to the dentist. Once I get to Moscow Family Dentistry I am at ease and leave happy. The staff are friendly and I always feel comfortable and calm when I am there.

The hygienist and dentist were very knowledgeable and the examination was comprehensive. We are new patients (moving into the area), so this was our first visit, hence the need to establish a foundational history of our dental health. I would to suggest two modalities for new patients (one of which was accomplished during the visit): 1. Contact patient insurers to verify existing benefits. 2. Obtain full dental records from the patient's previous dentist so as to determine condition(s), trends and treatments. Overall we were very pleased with the attention that we received.

Amy and Nick were so warm and welcoming, and Amy does a stellar cleaning job. Nick got x-rays with an adult tray (usually I have to use the kids' one!), and Amy made sure to let me know about tooth correction options and took the time to explain why I was a good candidate. The front office staff is wonderful, it must be a great place to work, they're always smiling!

I arrived 10 min early, but wasn't called in for 30 min. The hygienist was very good and explained a lot of things to me, but I never got to see the dentist. He had left before she was finished with me and said that he would probably call me back to talk about my X-rays. However, I haven't heard back from him. I have usually had a very good experience, but I'm afraid this was not one of them.

I felt like the hygienist had been to sensitivity training, asking me if she could perform her job, every step of the way -- "may I rinse your mouth," "may I put some air on it?" It felt very silly to even answer those questions since that is why I was there. It felt a little like I might sue her if she did something without my permission, which had the opposite effect of why I like your office, which is more of a family setting.

I used to dislike & even be afraid of a visit to the dentist. However, I still can't say that a visit to the dentist is exactly enjoyable but there is very little pain involved & everyone is always so nice and seems so pleased to see you. I would totally refer anyone to this dental office.

My biggest disappointment was that in the middle of my cleaning I was asked if I wanted a 3 minute dental exam, not knowing it would cost an extra $45 - I assumed it was part of my cleaning and said yes. But when it came time to pay I realized that I should have said NO! I dont have any health insurance so I pay for every medical/dental cost out of pocket and usually I am very informed about what everything cost. I left feeling a little caught off guard. Please remember that costs need to be quoted up front for everyone, so they do not end up consenting to something they can not afford.

Absolutely fantastic! Having been through several dentists in different cities, I can honestly say Moscow Family Dentistry sets the bar in terms of service, comfort, dependency and compassion. Everything was explained to me by Dr. Bowen and his amazing staff and at no point in the process did I feel left out of the loop. Dr. Bowen and his staff were exceptionally professional and didn't mind answering and explaining my curiosity questions. My root canal was painless and the post-exam service of calling in my prescription and calling and checking up on me several days later cemented in my mind how great of a practice this is. If you are looking for a dentist in Moscow, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Dr. Bowen and his staff - you will not regret it.

I was getting a tooth pulled for the first time and had several questions going on. I called twice and talked with someone in the office and they answered every question I could come up with. And when the day finally came, I was still so nervous. And everyone did an amazing job calming me down and making me feel comfortable. By the end of it, I'd do it again. They explained everything as they went and just really seemed like they genuinely cared. And to top it off, they even called me later that day to check up on me to make sure I was doing ok. I have never had a Dentist or his staff care so much and make me feel so well taken care of. My husband and I will continue to go to him for all our dental needs.

This was my first trip to a dentist here in Moscow and I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and open atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and the dental hygienists are very friendly. I appreciated that they explained all their procedures to me ahead of time and discussed my results with me in a professional yet understanding manner. The only complaint I have is that they seem to be a bit over-booked and so when I came back to have a filling done, the dentist walked out after drilling the hole, examined another patient leaving me sitting uncomfortably for 15 minutes, then came back in to finish the job. I do not feel this was very professional treatment, especially since the procedure was supposed to be very quick. Otherwise, the rest of the assistants and hygienists were exceptionally professional.

Dental experiences are fine. As discussed, refinement of front office dental appointment reminders needs to occur. Multiple calls with each calling saying something different in spite of already having an established appointment makes one wonder if "they know what they are doing." Provided services of any kind involve everyone; from answering the phone, dental appointment reminders, financial consultations and the actual hygiene and dentistry itself. Attention to detail, courtesy and follow through are essential for any successful business. By the way, Marie is one of the best hygienists ever!

We do understand your concern. We do apologize if you are over whelmed. Our goal is to perform a comprehensive exam, which includes diagnose (risk factors) that may cause patients pain in 4 days, 4 months or 4 years. For example, given the research that is being conducted on large silver restoration (amalgam fillings) we feel that it is in our patients best interest to let them know what could happen and to offer preventative measures. It's patients choice - we are here to educate patients to the fullest!

I feel so lucky to have found Dr Ben Bowen I am very nervous when it comes to my teeth . Dr Ben makes it very easy for me to go to the dentist. I had to have a tooth pulled the same day that I called with a severe tooth ache. He takes a nervous person and makes them feel very calm and that everything is going to be ok!

It had been a while since my last dental exam, so I was really nervous about how it was going to go. Dr. Bowen and his staff were incredibly friendly, happy, and made sure that I was comfortable at all times. It was very comforting to know that they care about every patient that walks through their door. I will definitely be coming back, and will refer every single one of my friends in the direction of Dr. Bowen and his amazing staff! It is certainly the right direction!

Moscow Family Dentistry has been my dentist for many years. I am very satisfied with the care they have given me. If you want a good family dentistry I recommend them. There has been times that I needed more extensive work done than they felt comfortable with and they made sure to send me to a Dr. that could do it. Again, I would certainly recommend Moscow Family Dentisty.

I had a very unfriendly women hygienist could have been a doctor, she didn't introduce herself. I was given a rate for the quick 20minutute procedure when before we began then once it was over, during the check out I was quoted differently and needed to pay the full amount. All they could offer for their screw up was a 5% discount if I payed up front. I work in a school here in Moscow, people ask me all the time for referrals as they are new to the area, after this visit I would think twice about referring anyone to this dental office.

I really appreciated that they took time to explain to me what was happening in regards to my dental health. At past dental practices I was only told what they were going to do, but not why it was happening, or how they came to that decision. I felt that it was great that they made me feel comfortable and aware.

StarStarStarStarNo Star I had a visit with Dr —    (Patient since Tue Feb 28 00:00:00 MST 2012)

I had a visit with Dr. Bowen on February 28th and was very pleased with the dental hygienist as she was very informative and knowledgeable. Dr. Bowen seemed thorough and was personable. February 29th I came in for x-rays and had to wait to be seen and needed to ask for the thyroid collar to reduce the risk of thyroid cancer. This should have been provided without having to ask to protect me as the patient. I had to wait over a half hour to have my x-rays read by Dr. Patty Bowen to inform me if I had any cavities. She seemed rushed, pushy and tried to sell me on procedures that were unnecessary. Communication on payment was undocumented and I received a phone call to address payment options that had already been discussed at length. On a positive note, the chocolate flavored toothpaste was EPIC!
