Seeing Dr. Hutchinson is always a pleasure. Dr. Hutchinson does an excellent job of explaining procedures, including using case examples. Dr. Hutchinson’s resume demonstrates an individual who applied himself throughout college as well as dental school and excelled. That is extremely important, though so is a personality that puts one at ease. Dr. Hutchinson excels there, too.

Friendly office, which is important to everyone. More importantly, dentists that care. Last weekend, an abutment and crown came off. Following a call to their office on Sunday, when the office was closed, I received an immediate return call from Dr. Bock, who immediately scheduled an appointment for Monday at 10:00 am. Dr. Bock made this happen, even with a full schedule and even though Dr. Hutchinson, who is my dentist, does not work on Mondays. No matter if it is Dr. Bock or Dr. Hutchinson, both are very responsive and show care in every way.

I am new to this area and signed up with South Kitsap Family Dentistry. I am not usually thrilled to go to a dentist appointment but they are so pleasant and friendly I felt more relaxed with the both the dental hygienist and the dentist. Both of them were very personable. I wasn't just a mouth of teeth - I was a person as well. My next appointment is 6 months away. They are good at giving reminders so I will not forget.

The care and concern for the customers at this dentistry is as usual very high on their list . My concern is that no one explained or talked about the cost of X-rays. I was expecting a bill about $230-250 (paying cash) but it was $364.00 . Really surprised and when I brought it to front desk attention it was treated very indifferently . X-rays weren’t needed at this time but I also wasn’t made aware of the cost of them . Would appreciate other options when paying in cash .

The staff is very warm and friendly. Dr. McClellan is fantastic and was very understanding that I was scared. This was my first time getting fillings and my first time being numbed. I don't really like needles and Dr. McClellan and her staff were very honest with me and told me what they were doing when they were doing it. I have no fears now when I have to go back to get more cavities filled.

I just had my initial visit for myself and my 6YO. It was a really great experience. The staff was super friendly and we saw Dr. Morgan McClellan. She is very knowledgeable, and is wonderful with children and adults. She offered us options for treatment and even asked me if I wanted her to talk to my daughter to explain to her the treatment options. So together we communicated with my daughter to see what her feelings were before making a decision. I really like the place. It is very tidy and huge. We didn't wait long before being seen. All around a great place so far.

After recently moving to the area I lost a crown in April 2020 and put off going to the dentist longer than I should have because I didn’t have a new dentist. After being vaccinated I finally felt comfortable going seeing a dentist but dreaded the thought of being scolded for not coming in sooner to deal with the crown. South Kitsap Family Dentistry never made me feel guilty and they were so friendly and helpful and they did a great job. So glad I chose them for my teeth needs!

The office is very welcoming. I needed to find a new dentist because of insurance changes. Changing dentists is really hard, and I just didn’t know if I would find an office like my previous long-time dentist. Well...my worries flew out the door when I met with Dr. Hutchinson and his staff. I was greeted at the door with a warm smile and really appreciated the COVID precautions, and Dr. Hutchinson and his assistant were compassionate about my concerns and addressed them with such kindness and understanding. Then stopping at the front desk on my way out I felt like I had been a patient for years, there was a smooth transition of all my dental records, and they initiated efforts to try to schedule an earlier cleaning. I am so grateful to have found this office....thank you.

I broke a tooth on a Sunday. Fortunately it was a tooth which had a root canal so it didn't hurt but it was razor sharp in places. Dr. Hutchison was able to get me in on Tuesday and got the edges smoothed out. This will hold me until I can see a specialist.

Timeline: Friday evening, discovered a chipped tooth; Monday morning, called South Kitsap Family Dentistry; Wednesday morning, chipped tooth diagnosed and repaired; Wednesday noon, home for lunch. WIN! Although my regular dentist, Dr. Bock, was out for a couple of weeks, Dr. Hutchinson was able to see me. When I arrived, I called from the parking lot and was directed to the front door for temperature scan and a few questions (COVID-19 protocol). The appointment was only supposed to be for a diagnosis but he was able to repair the tooth on the same visit. The entire staff at South Kitsap Family Dentistry is ALWAYS very helpful and friendly.

I appreciate the way that South Kitsap Family Dentistry could help me after I cracked an old crown on a piece of candy this week. I was able to get in the day after I called and the dentist adjusted my crown's rough edge to help me make it something I can live with until we begin getting a new one early in December. Everyone showed real concern about my pain or discomfort and helped as best they could.

With the Covid presence and being a new client, transferring from another dentist after over 30 years, I was nervous. But the dentistry made me very comfortable. They are concerned about the Covid and have good practices in place. The dentist talking to me on the first visit, as well as the technician taking the x-rays, were comforting and explained everything in full, making sure I understood and that I was comfortable.

I found that the staff and dentist were very helpful today despite the fact that I had two obstacles in the plan to put in my permanent crown. When the doctor tried to put in my crown, he was not satisfied with the way it would set. Unfortunately, my temp. crown had fallen out on a past weekend. But I walked away with a new temporary crown and a plan to return the crown to the lab. I appreciate this attention because I had a not quite right crown put in many years ago and had troubles with it. When I got it fixed, a had to pay a lot due to the short time it had been in. AND a crown that is right FEELS right too. So thank you for your high standards and your flexibility too.

I have been going to this Dental Office since 2008 for our family and they Dentists and the entire staff has been great we see Dr Hutchingson we like that they have entertainment spot for kids prior to being seen plus the tvs to watch while getting treatment is a bonus. They care about their patients and the families as a military family we move alot and have to find new providers every few years but this is a welcome change. I think both Dr. Bock and Dr. Hutchingson are also active in their communities as well for years now which is wonderful.

I enjoyed the dentist, and the hygienist they were very professional and friendly. It was the front desk that Really left a bad taste in my mouth, and for that, I’m not sure that I will be back. When I was questioning my out of pocket cost, she went from a friendly smile to rude, fast. Almost as if I was a burden to her. When I’m spending over $500 for dental work, I want to make double sure that my costs were correct. I didn’t feel comfortable at all discussing the cost with her after the initial visit. Which makes it hard to return.

I have been coming to this Dentist Office since 1980. At the time it was under another Dentist name, and after his passing Dr Bock stepped in to take over this practice. I was very happy as the care I had received in the past continued to always exceed my expectations in patience care. As this Dentist office grew in clients, so did the staff. At times I felt that the explanations from the staff, altho understood by them, I left sometimes with a questions. It seems that this has definitely improved significantly in the past few years. I feel very comfortable coming in for cleanings and follow up appointments for my Dental care.

Not only are they good at their job, they really care. Before my mother died, she liked to be called the War Department and they did. Now a days you need 3 dentist offices to go to. One alone, anymore will not due. 3 xrays done when 2 was supposed to work. $106 bucks for that, wow, let me out of here.
