The wait time for lab was ridiculous. After being seen by the provider I still had to wait about 2 hours for lab work. I really don't like to disrespect, but I notice that people doing that and being very upset with the nurses got in before my children did. They got there after us and they still when in before. I drive from Pomona and if its going to be like this every time I go I think I should consider changing provider.

I went in for a physical. The nurse, The staff were professional and kind. I was treated with respect by two of the receptionists. One registered me in and another one made may future appointments. My physician was professional and thoroughly. I am very satisfied with their service.

Although I had no appointment. I went in as a walk-in, and they see me as soon as possible. As usual, my doctor is always so helpful and attentive to my needs. Everything went well. Dr. Herndon is an extremely wonderful doctor. So grateful to have her as my doctor. I didn’t mind waiting as a walk-in. They told me I wouldn’t be seen till about two because my doctor was booked, but she seen me sooner than that.

I do not recall the name of the doctor because it was a long time since I visited the clinic. I do not know the name of the nurse either but maybe you can find out who they are. I just want to let you know that both of them, doctor and nurse are very professional and made me feel welcome this time. I felt not just like a number but like a real person/patient who has some health needs and that was understood. Thank you PS. Great improvement since last time years ago when I was there.

I made an appointment for both my son and I. 30 mins apart. I get there and the security guard tells me to move from the parking space because he was saving it for someone else. So, I got to my appointment late, but the receptionist still signs me in. They call my son first, we go in and they call me next. The nurse who was with us tells the other nurse Brenda Larios is here, the other nurse without noticing I was there, she said “why was she late then?” The other nurse says “I don’t know”. So the other nurse tells me, the doctor wants to see you NOW and I said I’m with my son. She said “if you can’t see her NOW, you’ll have to reschedule your appointment “ so rude first of all. Her attitude was so bad and her job is to be a nurse or assistant whatever she is, not to know the reason why I was late, that was so unprofessional. Now I have to lose another day of work because of all of this. There has been so many times that I had to wait hrs to get seen and they wanted to see me “NOW”. I know nothing is going to be done to this assistant named Corina. But I won’t be quite about it. She was so unprofessional and rude.

I had a great visit at the clinic. The receptionist checked me in and were welcoming. The nurse was very gental in carring out the doctors order for an injection. I was seen within 15 minutes of my appointment.

Nurse Lilliana and Dr Herndon were wonderful. Liliana was clear in her directions. Courteous and cheerful and attentive. Did not walk too fast. Dr Herndon was sincerely interested and listened patiently to me. She responded to my requests for information on referrals and lab reports. Doctor was extremely rude, was rough with my body parts leaving me in pain for the rest of the day, told me I was exaggerating my pain and asked me unnecessary questions about my personal life trying to push a diagnosis that has not been confirmed by testing on 4 different tests. The nurses and reception staff are always sweet, polite and helpful but I have had nothing but horrible experiences with the medical providers. I have been dealing with life affecting pain and medical issues for over 4 months now with absolutely no help from them. This doctor left me feeling traumatized.

I was told to come in before 4pm to be seen for my asthma . I showed up about 3:30 they sent me outside in a tent to wait more then 20 minutes in the cold for someone to come out and take a rapid test . Once I was in they too my vitals and I waited just to be turned away. Dr. Nguyen refused to see me because he didn’t have enough time . So almost a hour just to be turned away . Ridiculous .

My appointment was for a hospital discharge. I made the appointment 6 days prior with Roxanna. This was the first available for this appointment type. She asked me for the information of the hospital so that she could forward it to Medical Records. I told her that they needed to specially ask for the biopsy result along with the discharge summary. Im waiting to find out if I have cancer. I come to the appointment and no records at all. Today we are 12 days out and I still have not heard a word.

I went in for dental pain, my regular dentist was not there. They took an x-ray while there was dentemp temporary filing in, the substitute doctor seemed unable to read the x-ray and told me we'd need to pull the tooth without ever looking at my chart. Eventually we rescheduled when the regular dentist was available. This is not encouraging when the first solution suggested is pulling a tooth which will lead to a bridge or a crown which is very expensive, also the preliminary examination was so unthorough I don't see how that could be the only option. We need to be able to trust our medical teams, this doctor did a cursory examination without removing the temporary filling, I overheard him all the nurse what he was looking at when examining the x-ray, said I don't know far too many times for comfort, and was generally indifferent. Not inspiring...

We arrived at 10am for my son who is 15 years old and waited to get seen until after 4pm. The doctor told my son his hair loss was due to depression. He continued to tell him he has several problems and called him severely obese. He did not prescribe anything and continued to ask my son if he was pulling his hair. My son repeatedly said no. He ordered blood work but that lab had closed. He said my son needed vaccines. I told him all of them but the FLU shot. He asked why I explained my daughter was hospitalized due to the flu shot. He said the FLU shot saves lives not put you in the hospital. He said I needed to do my research. He left and the nurse arrived ready to give the shots. I stopped her and asked which ones they were she said it's the flu shot and I think the other HEP B. I told her I told the doctor no to the FLU she rolled her eyes and went to tell the doctor. I will not let my son be seen by this clinic again.

Took way too long and the nurse that was drawing blood dropped a tube of blood and landed on my shoes. She did not apologize at all and was completely rude. This was Tuesday June 27th at 4:30 pm. The clinic is also pretty dirty.

I had arranged for a yearly physical. I have never visited this institution before. Everything with the nurse was going smoothly at first. I responded to her basic health inquiries. At first, the nurse appeared kind, but I believe I was mistaken. She then led me into an examining room. Paulina Pilotos, a Filipino physician, showed there a short while later. Although she was kind, collected, and attentive, I suppose I was also mistaken about her. I had no idea she found her job annoying. I would answer her questions while she examined me by saying that I had never considered it to be wrong. Isn't that how a yearly physical exam works? The moment Dr. Paulina leaves the room, a Hispanic nurse in her late 50s bursts into the examination room with such hostility, being incredibly disrespectful and unprofessionally. This is when things start to become strange. claiming that because I had so many problems, the doctor was angry with her. She took so long with you, and a physical test should only be arranged for healthy people. I had no idea that people in good health only went to the doctor for checkups. What kind of rubbish does this woman say? What a clueless, stupid, and unqualified nurse and doctor! If they don't enjoy this field, why are they even working in it? For their knowledge, A physical examination's meaning Regardless of whether you are experiencing symptoms or not, a yearly physical exam allows you and your doctor to evaluate how your health is doing. In order to prevent worse problems later on, it can also assist you in determining which aspects of your health require care. This clinic is not something I would suggest. Avoid the so-called professionals who lack knowledge.

.y visit there was real bad for the second time since I started seeing the nurse practioner Angela at the Huntington Dr. Office the 1st time I saw her she told me I should really look into changing facilities to some where near me being that I live pretty far from the facility since I moved the way I see it if it doesn't bother me any and I've been doing it for years and never missed an appointment or been late why does it bother her so much. She said there were too much things going on with me and I should look into seeing an internerlist. I also took a handicap place card application since I have problems with walking and I do not have anymore feeling from my middle toe to my pinky and I also suffered a stroke in September of last year I lost all mobility from my legs and hands thank God they're coming back little by little I am not pretending or making believe that I am ill what can I possibly get out of that she made a big deal and said she didn't have time to fill it out because she had other patients to attend so I had to leave it there and pick it up 1 week and 1/2 later. Not to mention I had also gone to see her because I had gotten some bumps on my legs with bruises witch I was concern about because I have and still do and it's been months I mean months of that and I wanted her to send me to get an ultrasound to check what they were still nothing was solved I had a bit of a urinary tract infection and when I brought it to her attention she said I really needed to see an ob gyn about that I told her that I had Dr. Pham which I'm super happy about not to mention. She said she would advise me to get a different Dr. Because Dr pham was to old already and I shouldn't trust his diagnosis but once again she didn't treat it. The second time I seen her was because I've been having swelling in my hands arms and legs feet and also needed my place card renewed since it expired May 1st but it's always so hard to get through to make an appointment so as soon as she see

After been there for 4 hours everybody left and I was seen by a (doctor) on my opinion no professional, she was there for less than 2 minutes never let me explain her how I was feeling. The doctor and staff were very nice. However the rooms were pretty grimy. The Isolation Room had a dirty floor with peoples hair along the baseboards and used med supply wrappers and things on the counter top. The exam room had something dark brown and really gross splattered across the bottom of the door. A lot of it. I was especially concerned with the Isolation Rm not having been cleaned between patients.

I went to get blood work done and the lady that did it hurt my hand pretty bad. Blood wasn't coming out so she moved the needle around rotating it and putting it a bit in and out to see if blood would come out on the same spot. It hurts so much I had to tell her to stop. I wasn't able to move my hand so much all day cause of the pain and she left my arm bruised with a scratch due to the needle. Next time I'm not going to get blood work done if the same lady is doing it

I had a 2pm appointment, showed up at 1:30 just in case there was any paperwork I needed to do. They didn’t let me in until ~2:45, at which point they just weighed me and then sent me back out into the waiting room after saying the blood draw tech was on lunch break still. They said I had to come back on a different day for my requested physical (which will cost more money, duh). I asked them if they ever got the results back for a test I’d had a year ago and called several times to try to hear about, and they said I’d had to make YET ANOTHER appointment for that. At 3pm they called me back, only to hand me a piece of paper for a referral I DIDN’T ask for, then send me back out into the waiting room. The front desk people were humorless and rude when I asked for an update on when the technician would be back, only telling me I could leave and come back on a different day (as if I could afford to take YET ANOTHER day off of work and pay another copay). Finally, about an hour and 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment, the blood draw technician finally got back from his insanely late lunch, spoke gruffly with me and roughly jabbed me with the needle, seemed completely distracted throughout, and kept clicking his tongue at me as if I were some sort of misbehaving dog. My main doctor (an Asian woman whose name escapes me at the moment) was the only friendly one, but our total interaction time was MAYBE 60 seconds long. Except for the blood draw technician who spoke in staccato, heavily accented English, everyone spoke SUPER fast as if they couldn’t wait to be finished with the interaction and move on to something else.

I have no complaints about the front desk they arr always so attentive to anyone walking in and setting them up for their check in. They have always been very kind. The Dr's here are as well very good, I've never felt rushed during the appointment, they make sure all our questions are answered or help to explain anything in between that may have not been asked or covered. Very appreciate od my baby's doctor she's always been so gentle with him. The nurses are the sweetest especially with my baby due to the fact that he was a newborn & not understanding the process of his shots, they have always made me comfortable enough to comfort my son enough to not have him screaming & wailing due to the shots or measurements. On the other hand there is a nurse in the laboratory that was taking a led & anemia test and she was being excessively aggressive with my 12 month old. Mind you a child does not understand the process of having blood drawn and had previously had 4 shots so I feel the lady should have had enough patience to understand the circumstances my child was being put in. She was scrapping my sons finger just to collect blood and was squeezing his finger way more than necessary where my sons blood was running down his hand. I addressed her to let her know she was being rough and claims "she's like that with all her patients." I will never let that woman touch me or my son ever again she shouldn't be allowed to treat other people like that and assume it's okay because "she treats all her patients like that". That's unacceptable for someone to know they are wrong and still give a rebuttal as if they don't care. After her response I know she has no care for other or her job.

Horrible clinic. I called several times finally someone answered and said my two kids would be seen if I arrived before 4. I arrived 3:50 they said the Doctor said no more patients. I then called the Lincoln heights arroyo Vista they said yes bring them in. I drove over there only to be told that the nurse will see the kids and decide if the doctor will see the kids. I said that's not what I was told on the phone and they said the doctor changed what he said. The nurse examined the kids and decided that because they did not have fever at the moment they wouldn't be seen. They told me to arrive at 8am the next day. I am now changing my clinic and I will never go back.

Worse and worst, I took my son from school for Dr. Visit, we arrived to Arroyo Vista in El Sreno around 3:10 pm. Only one female patient was inside, other staff on the desk were showing they are busy, but off course not because they can be busy only for one patient inside. Security didn't allow us to get in and said wait, we wait but my 11 years old son had fever and said, he cannot stand. I shout and requested for a chair and told them we are not coming here to play game, my son is sick and cannot stand. Then one of them brought a chair in out side. After long waiting we called in and there was an Asian female nurse practicianer., came and visited my son, my son has sore throat, cough, body pain, runny nose which nurse saw all his situation. Then nurse practitioner didn't care to the patient situation and she said for his sore throat give him warm water, honey and lemonade. I asked what about his body pain, high runny nose, she irresponsibly said, buy Tylenol and Ibuprofen from they counter, I said my son has medical insurance and why you prescribe those medications through the pharmacy which normally we go there for picking up the medication? Then she said , he does... except a nurse which took my son weight and pressure other than that all not responsible especially the nurse practicianer, overall quality was worse.

I absolutely love my doctor. She is so sensitive and listens to me the thing you need to work in is your answering system. Sometimes there is no one answering phones when calling the clinics and if they don’t answer sometimes there is no way to leave messages. It’s very frustrating. I’ve had to literally go to the clinic just to make my appts or talk with someone and I struggle with arthritis in my hips. It’s very inconvenient.

I was contacted by Arroyo Vista to come in for a follow up on my blood pressure. On the phone I expressed my concern that the automated BP machines that have apparently replaced doctors and nurses actually checking blood pressure manually were giving me very inconsistent readings and that everytime, without fail that a nurse has checked it manually it comes in much lower than the machines say. I agreed to come in again to have it checked manually. After nearly an hour of waiting I was brought into a room and asked why I was there, no one I spoke to that day seemed to have any idea why I was there. I told the nurse I was there to have my blood pressure checked manually, she proceeded to take my blood pressure on the machine, when I pressed her about the inaccurate readings she told me the doctor would check it manually. I then waited another half hour to see the doctor who, when he finally came into the room, proceeded to talk to me about my colonoscopy results which I had already had a follow up appointment for weeks ago. He then prescribed another blood pressure medication and a blood pressure cuff to use at home, he seemed to not hear me or understand me when I told him I already had one and that the only reason I was there was for someone to check my blood pressure manually. He did not do that. Essentially I spent two hours to hear what I already knew, to be ignored by both the nurse and the doctor when asking to have my blood pressure checked with a stethoscope and manual cuff. And then to be prescribed one medication that I already had, a blood pressure cuff which I already had, and another medication that I am hesitant to take as it was not prescribed by my regular doctor and had warnings about not driving or operating any vehicle. I am very disappointed in the service and treatment on this visit, and the entire reason I was there in the first place, to have my BP checked manually,by a human and not a machine was never done. Ridiculous quite frankly.

I waited 2 and a half hours for only a dental screening. I had even checked in 20 minutes earlier than my appointment, to be sure I was on time and would not have to wait long. The actual visit took less than 15 minutes in total.

The phone service sucks!! Whenever I call, it takes almost an hour for someone to answer. Even after I leave a voicemail, nobody calls back. This has been happening ever since I joined this clinic so please do something. I can assure you I am not the only one. It’s my only complaint. After they answer, everything is perfect: receptionists, nurses and doctors are great.

My Doctor -PCP., Dr. Yeroshalmi is my one and only PCP he is a CALIBER Doctor ... I Cherish and Adore him. I have'nt had a MD like him is since my earlier days when I had KAISER. i Trush EVERYTHING he rellays to me. He is sensative to any subject and has VERY HIGH Medical Bed Side Manners 100% -Percentile. He is always and right on target with all his HIGH RATED opnions. I Respect Highly and follow is instructions and standards to his Medical Practice. Please share this with Dr. Yeroshalmi. I follow and trust all of his instructons - that I use and follow all his suggestions. He again., is 100% Caliber of a Highly Mega Doctor. I hope that he will always be my PCP., again I Cherish and Adore him - I love him in a PROFESSIONAL manner as my Caliber Doctor =DY. I was so glad I could come in same day. The bee sting was horribly painful and my arm was swelling and itching so badly that I knew something was wrong. I was able to get a same day appointment and medication for the allergic reaction I had. Very grateful I was able to be seen. Thank you!

For starters, it’s very frustrating when attempting to call and to “speak” with someone just to schedule an appointment. It’s like playing Double Dutch with the front desk, in hoping that “someone” will actually answer the phone, and not “hang up” on you having you to go through that whole entire PROCESS again of trying to catch someone to “SPEAK” to them at the front desk, just to schedule an appointment…Now, the main “issue” when I was finally able to get through and finally speak to someone over the phone about scheduling an appointment, I specifically told the lady at the front desk that I had a Cough, and was feeling Covid like symptoms but was testing negative, she continued to schedule me for an “in-person” visit with my doctor. Which should have sent the alarm off in her head, that maybe we should schedule an over the phone doctors appointment instead. Nope, not this time. So, when I finally arrived to my “in-person” appointment, I’m immediately turned away because of the questions of me displaying any Covid like symptoms. Literally, you guys could have saved me an unnecessary trip and saved me Gas if only the people at the front desk did their jobs better, and correctly when the initial phone call of scheduling my appointment was made. I’m sorry but the front is getting worse…

There are two things to mention: Good: Receptionists and the Dr are giving us (me & my wife) feel welcomed and cared. Bad: Couldn’t reach the desk by phone so that I had to drive to the clinic for Covid related prescription

Getting a hold of someone on the phone is not an option. I call everyday all day and no answer.they don’t return calls . Am still waiting on my Hbp prescription. Horrible service

They offer phone appointments, which is very convenient. Staff is super friendly and professional. Physician sends my prescriptions electronically right to my pharmacy and answers all my questions. X-rays and blood work can be done in-house. Doctors are always on time for my appointments. Where they definitely need to improve: it's very difficult to schedule an appointment without going into the physical office -- no one monitors the phone lines or can be reached by phone. If you leave a voice message, you will not get a response. This lack of phone service can be extremely frustrating. However, if you go into the physical location, the staff is friendly.

I was not pleased with the line of questions of the phlebotomist that drew my blood. She had drawn my blood a month prior with no issues and told me to come anytime. This draw was ordered by my infectious disease provider for my 6 month HIV follow up. I have been Non-reactive since 2013. I felt she did not comprehend this. She straight out asked me if I had HIV. She said I need to tell her so she can take extra precautions. She said "you know if your in a hurry you can poke yourself. I told her she needs to treat all blood samples with universal precautions. She then asked me how I was infected,and if I was a drug user. I I felt this was a direct example if a HIPPA violation. I felt humiliated ,embarrassed and very sad. I cried on the way home. LabCorp told me I didn't ever have to reveal my personal medical conditions because they practice universal precautions. I am not and never was. She then said, well your vein is damaged. I couldn't believe my ears. This office is very near my home, but I will never go back.

I like the clinic but it feels different in a negative way lately. For the dentist for example, she doesn’t communicate before hand preparing me what needs to be done with the teeth, and it felt a little pushy to do three cavities on my front teeth without discussing what needs to be done more personable. The dentist that was there before, the one who retired, he was preparing me on what he’s about to do with my teeth and he would tell me that he would watch the situation, to come back next time, to see how things go and I felt safe, he was extremely personable. It felt he cared about me and my teeth. With this current lady dentist, I feel surprised with work that needs to be done without me knowing exactly what work needs to be done beforehand, it made me feel scared of having my teeth touched by the new dentist. Before this, she canceled two or three times, which I thought was very weird or unprofessional. And before her canceling 2-3 times, the last time I tried to see her, she denied me service because I had to bring my son with me because I don’t have a babysitter. It felt extremely rude and cold and pertinent. So the whole experience was… it felt weird. It felt like she doesn’t care, and her attitude felt very pushy and very pertinent. And I didn’t feel safe in her taking care of my teeth. I didn’t know I had cavities on my front teeth and she surprized me with the news. I knew I had fillings there but I didn’t know the fillings required refilled and making the hole bigger. She took it very personally when I asked if it was for sure that more drilling would be necessary and it felt a little scary that she was offended; when I asked her if she was sure she said “why not?” And she very pertinently said that she’s not in the business of making holes that don’t need to be there. And after I agreed to let her do the cavities, she said “no! Why?” she said “no, go to the front and talk to them” she told me “leave!” it felt strange like I don’t trust the dentist

I have visited for two separate appointments and can’t say doing h about the people and services at AVFHC on Huntington Ave. The staff at AVFHC is stellar. They’re friendly, informative, patient, concise, and clearly extremely knowledgeable making it easy to feel comfortable and cared for while there. Five out of Five stars.

From reception to nursing to my visit with Dr. Schwalb to Olga, in referrals, fighting to get me the referral appointment I need, my whole experience was beyond positive.
