Best glasses prescription everytime! Doctor addresses other eye care concerns also, when noted, and explains effects of those conditions, such as eyelid inflammation and that cataracts increase near sightedness!

I have been a patient at DeCleene optometry for many years. I have found the staff to be very friendly, wait times to be relatively short, and the eyeglass selection provides many options from which to choose. I also appreciate the fact that they work with me to make sure my eyeglasses fit and that any adjustments that need to be made will be done until the fit is just right

Firstly, I did not have to wait even though the office obviously had several other customers/clients - so my appointment was honored in a timely fashion. Then, I appreciated Dr. Kate’s thoroughness in analyzing multiple pairs of my current and past prescription lenses; and then working on a new prescription. It all seemed very detail-oriented - nothing was overlooked. I’ve been to another optometrist in another town and did not receive this quality of service.

DeCleene Optometry has been taking care of my eyes for close to 20 years now and is staffed by friendly, professional people. Dr. Bud has been a fantastic eye doctor to me, always taking time and care in his exams to ensure that you're seeing what you need to see and that all your questions are answered. In my last visit I had some issues with my insurance. The front office folks kept up their contact with my insurance company and once the issue was resolved (which took several weeks) they got my eyes all squared away with exactly what I wanted. My experience at the eye doctor is the same every year: professional, thorough, and even enjoyable.

The staff at DeCleene's Optometry were very friendly at my last eye appointment. They explained everything they were doing during my exam and answered all my questions. They did not rush me as I was selecting my new frames. They picked out frames they thought would look good on me. From their "Good morning, how can I help you" to their "Goodbye and have a great day" it was a great experience. I highly recommend DeCleene's. The have a wonderful product to keep your glasses from fogging when wearing face masks--I work 12-hour shifts and my glasses now stay fog free the entire time!

Staff was friendly and efficient. Didn’t have to wait long to be seen. Exam was thorough, and the equipment was up-to-date. Dr. Kate was friendly and approachable. Spent a lot of time to make sure my prescription was exactly right. She gave me some contact lens samples to see if I preferred a slightly different power. She offered to submit my insurance as medical, rather than vision-related (I have a pre-existing condition) to save me some money.

I didn't appreciate having masks shoved in my face by the temp at the front desk. Masks are not necessary and are absolutely useless at preventing any virus from spreading. I would think medical professionals would understand that. I also didn't appreciate being treated like I was infectious just because I refused to wear a mask. For example, the office workers wouldn't touch the pens I used after I used them. Pretty sad that this is the attitude in an office my kids have been going to for nine years.

Was first time here, VERY satisfied. Dr. Stephens was very thorough and very knowledgeable. There was/is a minor issue with my right eye, and he completely explained it to me in terms that I could understand (not medical jargon :-) ). I did not feel rushed, he took the time to answer my questions. Also, the assistants and front counter staff were very courteous and efficient! Will return!

Please don't assume the customer won't pay for a product or service just because insurance doesn't cover it. Not once was I asked if I would be willing to pay for services that my insurance would not pick up. The optometrist is going above and beyond to address my issue and I appreciate that. The other advice I would give is to know your patient's eligibility information prior to the appt.

We love the personal attention, and if we have issues we can see Dr. Bud or Kate in an emergency. You don’t get that attention at a big retail eye place or online! My 8/26 appointment was originally scheduled for 8/12 at 9am. I arrived at 8:55 and completed the paperwork and was told someone would call me back shortly. By 9:25 no one still had. I inquired with the front desk person and she said there were "technical difficulties" which translated to me as the Dr (or tech) didn't show up on time. Whether that is true or not, I felt the need to reschedule my appointment since Mondays are a working day for me and I was already 1/2 hour out of work with nothing accomplished. My rescheduled appointment went better, however, it still took until 9:12 to get me called back. It seems as though your office is not very respectful of a person's time. With that said, the service provided by Dr Stevens was actually outstanding. He was very thorough and explained things very well. This was greatly appreciated.

I find that my visit appointment is always a good one very professional I always feel like I'm in great hands And the selection of the eyeglasses is a nice touch where they pick some out and bring to you to look at and they help you fit it to your face and let you know what is the best etc. Dr Bud does an excellent job in explaining the changes and new suggestions from the exam. I have always had excellent care and service from DeCleene Optometry. I've never been kept waiting, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I recently had my first eye exam at DeCleene Optometry. The doctor was personable, professional and very thorough. Her approach immediately gave me confidence in her knowledge and ability. In addition, the staff was unable to order the single lenses I needed to match the other lense. They quoted a price for two new lenses, then suggested I contact my pervious provider to see if they could replace the one lense I needed at a better price. My former provider replaced the lense for free. I appreciate DeCleene's concern and integrity. I recommend them highly.

It's been forever since I had an eye exam -- and I was LONG overdue for new contacts. I am new to DeCleene, and they didn't have even a hint of judgement on how long it had been since my last appointment. They genuinely cared about getting a new exam and helping me see better. I have an incredibly strong prescription, and have always felt like I was a bother or an annoyance to my previous eye doctors, because it's so hard to nail down glasses and contacts that correct my vision. I didn't feel that way in the slightest with Dr. DeCleene -- which was such a great feeling! Also, I am absolutely the worst at picking out frames, and Rachel took at least 45 minutes to help me find a great pair for my face shape -- and then walked me through options for making my very strong prescription appear less magnified in my lenses. It sounds silly, but that was such a thoughtful thing to do, and it seems like it's just part of the culture at DeCleene. Loved that!

From the front office staff to Dr. Bud, just an all around professional office. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Dr. Bud is very proactive in his eye care and what he feels that you are going to need in the coming years as your vision changes as you get older. The staff is incredibly helpful in ensuring that you are maximizing your vision insurance benefits and the office has many options that a person can select from in frames, lenses, contacts, and supplies. I completely trust my eyesight, and my daughter's eyesight, to DeCleene Optometry. Going to the eye doctor is one of those rare pleasurable doctor visits.

There is always a wait I wish when your appointment is at 10:00 you would be able to be seen by at least 10:15 not 10:45. I had to work through my lunch because I had to burn a hour and a half at the eye doctor's appointment which should have only taken 45 mins all together.

I was referred to Dr. Bud DeCleene several years ago by a close friend. At the time I worked and lived in Kokomo so it was a great location. From the start Dr. Bud and his staff have been fantastic. They are by far the most friendly and helpful staff I have experienced in the medical field. I have since moved away from Kokomo but will still make the lengthy dive when its time for a checkup, contact order, or new glasses. I would highly recommend DeCleene Optometry

Dr. DeCleene is always thorough in his examination and practical with treatments and recommendations. The office staff is very friendly, too.

The office people are so friendly and nice. Our first visit seemed a little crazy tho. The doctor didn't know how to work anything (it was her first time there). So it took 3 hours for our initial appointment. When we went back for our follow up my husbands glasses were in but once we looked them over we noticed they were cracked on the lense so he had to send them back in. All in all the experience was nice and Drs and staff are great. Just had technical difficulties. I am responding to the dr rating on dr bud I feel he would be my main Doctor not dr fisher

Dr DeCleene is very thorough with examination and explaining findings & recommendations. Support staff is always friendly and welcoming. I won't go anywhere else.
