Great staff and Dr McCleary is the best

I’ve waited a year to leave a review. Just to make sure my delight in my new vision persisted. How nice it is!! Not to hunt for glasses. The surgery was easy. Recovery was good. I can read anything. The only minor condition that has lasted is sensitivity to bright sunlight. Dark glasses fix that.

I was greeted immediately at your reception desk, signed in, I invited (Not Told) to sit in the waiting room. The wait was very short, for my appointment. I was taken back to an exam room for the brand-new OPTOMAP procedure ( which is a wonderful new procedure that spares you from having your eyes dilated). The technician doing my test was very thorough, and examined each eye carefully. I was taken to three different rooms the last one of which was where I saw doctor McCleary. He was extremely thorough. He found the problem with my right eye, was I had an eyelash embedded.( which he removed). He prescribed some eye drops for my eye allergy. I was treated with respect and dignity, and felt like a valuable patient. This was my second yearly exam at Inland Valley Eye. I would not consider going anywhere else! I have recommended your company to many of my friends or Neighbors.

Dr. Sorenson has been the greatest eye Dr. I have ever had. He has attended to , they had to bring me a warmed blmy needs. He did my catarect surgery, and I have been told he rates as ne f the best. One more thing, every thing as clean and respectable, BUT it was COLD as HELL in there, they had to bring me a warmed blanket. PLEASE, have someone fix that,

Once I was seen by the Doctor all went well. He was very Professional and showed concern for the health of my eyes. It was getting back to see him that was terrible, arrived 10 mins prior to my appointment, the waiting area in front was full of patients, sat there for 40 minute, was then called back for pre doctor visit stuff, then had to wait in another area outside the exam room for another 35 minutes before going into see the doctor. Seriously overbooked the appointment times and or need to get better at patient management.

Everything was great until the checkout process. I needed the dark shades as my eyes had been dialated. The guy had them in his hand, but then some girl sad next to him and they spoke while looking at me and he proceeds to tell me they didn't have any as he put the dark shades away that he had in his hand back in the drawer. Very odd!!! So needless to say I was blinded by the sun coming out and all the way home!

the gal that put drops for dilation did not wear gloves and thought it that was inaprpiate during covid. I also felt very rushed with the doctor. I will check out other doctors when I need cataract surgery. they used to have a good reputation thats why I returned.

It took too long to see eye dr. The place was packed with people who ended up standing around do to no more seating and nobody told me my eyes were going to be dilated until the moment they were going to be. My appointment was at 1:35pm I didn't leave that office until after 4pm and I had a 45 minute drive home. The dr. Was very nice.

When making an appointment online, I am expected to fill out too much information. I just want to make an appt. as a returning patient, not have to fill out several pages of information, especially when booking more than one appt. I rate my whole experience four stars. Greater than 30 minute wait for my appointment, and an almost 3 week period before I could be seen is the reason for this rating. Having worked in the medical profession for almost all my working life, I feel there are very few reasons to be more than 20 minutes behind on appointments. It shows there is something that needs to be addressed by management & staff. I have found (as staff at a medical facility) that when you are going to be more than 20 minutes late to see a patient - approaching the patient aknowledging lateness with a generic explanation goes a long way by showing respect for a patients time. For instance - " We're sorry. Due to unforeseen events, we are running behind schedule . Please bear with us, we will try to get you seen as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience".

I think if the doctors want you to see another type of doctor or Hospital then it should be close enough to get there. I dont think its fair to be sent to a hospital for surgery way farther then you live and then be told you cant have the surgery done.

Dr. Sorenson is absolutely the best opthamologist you can ever hope to take care of your eye care needs. I have been a patient of his for 27 years; he's taken me through cataracts, eye lense replacements and improved my vision tremendously over those years. It is a well run medical office with a large staff to keep it running perfectly. My actual rating number for how likely is is that you would recommend our service to a friend or colleague - is a resounding YES. This is the guy you want looking after your eye health.

When I arrived to my appointment I was asked to fill out paperwork which was minimal and then I was asked to take a seat. Within 3-5 minutes I was called to the back office and there was an assistant doctor there who was vey kind. Next Dr. Connor came in and asked some questions and then started my exam. The exam was intensive but comfortable and the staff is wonderful I’m so happy with Inland Eye Specialist I will definitely be returning to this Practice from now on. If your looking for good quality eye care look no further this is the best place.

This was my first visit to Inland eye specialists and it was a good experience. The Dr was very thorough in his exam. The only bad thing was that I had my eyes dilated for the first time so I didn't know what to expect so when I left my eyes were burning and I had to drive home.

Went in for an eye pressure check. Arrived 10 minutes early and was called in within 5 minutes. The technician seated me in an exam room and went right to work. Did eye chart test, pressure check, answered some questions and I was on my way.

Was very disappointed in your covid prevention. Was told only patients and caregivers for disabled patients were allowed in lobby. There were two wives with their husbands and they sat in the lobby while their husbands went back. Also in the checkin area people were too close and everyone used the same pen to check in. All other offices have a dirty and clean pen containers and the pens are wiped with wipes. The machines to check eyes were right on top of each other.

I thought the technician who did all the pre-appointment items was so kind and professional (I didn't get her name). Dr. Connor was also wonderful and very kind and thorough. I am a Kaiser member, and coming to the Inland Eye Specialist building in Hemet was my only option to obtaining an appointment for me and my 90 year-old mother. The only problem I encountered was the woman at the front desk told me that she would call me for the four-pages of paperwork that we had to fill out. She never called our names, so the clock was reading 2:25 for my 1:45 p.m. appointment and my mom's was at 2 p.m. What was the reason my mom and I had to put our names on an appointment list when we first came into the office if we were never going to be called until our paperwork was turned back into the receptionist? That part of the appointment process needs to be fine-tuned, because otherwise, the patient is waiting to be called.

The doctors and back staff are amazing. They're super friendly, efficient, and thorough. However, the wait times are ridiculously long and it is so incredibly busy. You feel like you are part of an assembly line. The staff up front also isn't that great and need better training. I was told that my insurance couldn't be verified and that I would have to pay over $200 out of pocket. I had them try again and guess what, it was verified.

I was impressed with their thoroughness of the testing I received, and getting a cataract surgery less than a month away was a huge relief. I had been to another large eye center in Temecula and the wanted me to wait three MONTHS for surgery! So glad I found Dr. Donaldson.

I didn't receive any notices about dilating my eyes, the procedure not being covered by insurance, the need for a driver, the inability to reinsert my contacts and return to work, so I took my lunch break drove clear across town for an appointment which had to be rescheduled because of lack of information. I find it amazing I received a minimum if six text messages and 2 emails confirming my appointment, notification of check in online and several reminders to make an appointment but not one notice of recommending another person to drive status post my appointment. I have never had my eyes dilated where I could not return my contacts to my eyes status post an appointment. I do not own a pair of glasses nor have I since I was 25 years old. Most likely I will look for a new provider for my eye care once my new contacts have been ordered.

I was in to see Dr.Carlson in November and had testing done. My second visit was for an annual eye exam for reading glasses. I was charged for a picture that I didn't need and wasn't asked if I wanted it. My husband had to sign to say he wanted the picture. I was told someone messed up at my check in and I was still charged.

There have been good and not so go experiences at IES but most recently Dr. Donaldson did an excellent job of explaining, answering questions and suggesting what hopefully will be a solution to an ongoing problem. Time will tell but for now I highly recommend Dr. Donaldson for your eye care needs. Wait time was greater than usual but worth it to finally get to a dr. that really seemed to take a genuine interest and spend adequate time discussing the situation with me.

This office and it's staff provided me with some of the best, most professional and respectful treatment I've ever had in my WHOLE LIFE. Even with a referring ophthalmologit report that was a complete mess, and the referring office fouling up the referral, the Hemet office staff went way above and beyond to get me seen that day, as it was an emergency; the front-desk receoptionist actually spent almost an hour on the phone with my insurance getting it sorted out, which is unheard of today in most businesses and organizations. I am very confident that my surgery will go well with such professional and competent people.

The wait time is not acceptable. If you have an appointment at 230, for example, you shouldn't have to wait to be seen until 4pm. A 30 minute appointment to an hour even, could be made understandable, but to spend a total of 3 hours and 15 minutes between checking in and checking out, is unfair to a patient's time. It made me late to my next appointment.

I have been a patient here for 15 years. And my last visit while checking out I have never been treated so rudely. When I checked in I paid my 10.00 co pay. When I checked out I was asked to pay 93.00 for the appt. I said for what this is the first time I have been here all year. She said they used all of my insurance (200.00 allotted for a year) when I order my contacts in Aug. I said I just paid out of pocket before checking out 137.00 for 6 months. I said every year I come the first 6 months the insurance pays for my office visit and 6 months of contact. The 2nd half of the year I pay out of pocket. She said I have to pay, my benefits aren't valid until Jan 2021. I said if that is the case why did you send me an email and text saying I was due for my appt. And I would still have 93.00 left over from my insurance in Aug. She then asked to see the papers I got today which I gave her., She snatched the RX for my contacts out of my hand and said I am not allowed to have this. I said well I just paid for 6 months of contact\s at the optic dept. She said I wasn't allowed to have those either. And she went over and cancelled my order. The girl who refunded my money also asked for the trail pair of contacts the doctor gave me. This is beyond professionalism and proper patient care. I will not be back and will never recommend anyone to this place. The doctor and his nurse are very good and very pleasant. The front office staff is very rude and unpleasant. I even called the following day and asked to speak to a manger. And I couldn't believe it, it was the lady who I checked out with who was so rude. I've worked in customer service for over 30 years. When you make a mistake own up to it and make things right. She had no inclination of even trying to rectify the situation. She is definitely not management material.

i only ordered lenses because my frames were still almost new.. The total for lenses only was about $350...just for lenses. Someone told me that their glasses were expensive..... Understatement! My insurance company also had credited $100 towards glasses and or lenses.. Wow.
