I was looking for a dentist in the Greensboro area and Dr. Cooper's name came up. I contacted the office to schedule an appointment and had the pleasure of speaking with Pam. She was very nice and gave me instructions on what I needed to do before my visit. On the day of my visit, it was easy b/c they had done all the prework with my insurance. Dr. Cooper has great bedside manners and got to know me as in individual before starting with my dental work. He explained everything along the way. His staff was nice. My only suggestion is they should introduce themselves before starting any work. There were 2 ladies who worked on me. One took my x-rays and the other assisted Dr. Cooper with the cleaning but I have no idea what their names are b/c they didn't introduce themselves. Overall, I am very happy with Dr. Cooper. He is very thorough and professional. I will definitely return for my next dental visit.

Dr. J Selig Cooper has been my dentist since I moved to the Greensboro area in 2005. My teeth were so riddled with gingivitis, that I needed Novocain for a cleaning! Dr. Cooper is the reason why I no longer need Novocain for a cleaning. Thank you, Dr. Cooper!

Staff is super nice. We needed an immediate appointment and they got us in the next morning. Absolutely everyone we encountered was professional and made us feel comfortable and confident. They quickly handled the visit with the urgency that we didn't even know was needed. We are very appreciative of the entire staff and a special thanks to the young lady who thought to call us with the next day appointment.

Dr. Cooper cleaned and polished my teeth, versus a dental hygenist on my last visit. He did a good job of explaining how to take care of my teeth when at home and traveling, and checked on me during the cleaning process. I enjoyed having a conversation with him and the assistant during and after the cleaning/polishing process.

Dr. Cooper has been my dentist for almost 20 years. When I first became his patient, my teeth were in horrible shape and riddled with gingivitis. I needed novocaine for every cleaning! Through his dentistry, my teeth are healthy, and I no longer need novocaine for cleanings!

I have been scared out of my mind since i was a child of a dentist. I have never been able to let a dentist work on my teeth without gas or putting me to sleep. I was scared to get my teeth cleaned because of a very bad experience i had with a dentist when i was a child, But with Doctor Cooper i was scared at first but he is very good at what he does i had no pain i never had to use any of the pain medicine he gave me. I honestly believe he is the best because he is very good at his profession, and he cares about his patients. I will not be seeing any other dentist other than Dr. Cooper.

I decided to find a new dentist after finding out that the practice that I had went to for years decided that Covid was over and threw all safety precautions to the wind. I found Dr.Cooper’s office via my insurance directory with a few other dentists. I decided on trying out Dr. Cooper’s office because his staff felt my concerns about remaining Covid-free and assured me that their office was still using precautions. My first visit was well-structured and outstanding. Everything was clean and a mask was required. All of the staff was pleasant and Dr. Cooper was precise. I was in and out within an hour. My second visit went the same way. I have recommended Dr. Cooper’s office to a few people. They are reluctant to go to the dentist, but I am sure they will come around eventually.

I’ve been a patient for 17 years. On today’s visit and the visit 6 months ago I usually would get a goody bag (tooth brush, dental floss and a small tooth paste). In all my years of coming here the dental hygienist has always used water while cleaning my teeth and afterwards mouthwash to rinse with after the cleaning. I was very disappointed today. On the prior appointment I thought that maybe it was an over site on the goody bag but I guess not.

Dr. J. Selig DDS is an incredible Dentist, and as a result of his work; I now have a healthy mouth and more confident smile. This visit was my first visit to Dr. Cooper’s office. I found Dr. Cooper through my insurance provider’s Directory of Providers. I hadn’t been to the dentist for my regular cleanings since the beginning of the pandemic (last visit was in February 2020). My family had to part ways with my previous dentist that we had used for years because he is no longer using COVID protocols in his office. When I called to set up my appointment with Dr. Cooper, the first question that I asked about was COVID practices since I have lived in a bubble since March 2020. Dr. Cooper’s current COVID protocols made me feel better about going back to the dentist. My technician was extremely pleasant and did a great job with my teeth. Dr. Cooper gave me an exam and some recommendations for possible needed future treatment should something happen to two of my fillings. The office was extremely clean. The front desk staff were sweethearts. As a former teacher, I give this visit an A+. Thank you for carrying out safe practices in your office.

I have extreme anxiety and fear the dentist . Dr. Cooper is not approachable and very intimidating. He does not make you feel comfortable. This is why I do not follow up with my dental treatment and visit the dentist as I should. I only ho to the dentist if I am in extreme pain or for a particular reason. Dr. Cooper is very professional and knowledgeable; however, his personality is not inviting or approachable.

I love this office. The staff is so friendly, I feel like we've known each other for a long time. They always notice and compliment my many hairstyles. The dentist is very skilled and knowledgeable at what he does. I got four crowns done this year and even I forget they're crowns sometimes. People who see them think they're my real teeth because they look so good! He also answers all of my out-of-the-ordinary questions with ease.

The dentist is kind to patients and this goes a long way in the decision to return. The dentist seems to treat his staff with respect from what I have observed, this is also very important to the patient. Clinical area is clean including the bathrooms. One concern for lobby environment: the air fresheners May be a health hazard for those patients with environmental allergies..

Dr. Cooper is a genuine, caring, thoughtful, and knowledgeable dentist. His interpersonal communication is commendable. Not only does he explain medical/dental concepts in layperson's terms with ease but he makes a point to slow down, address all of your concerns, sit down, and hear you out. I came to him after having heart surgery and while going through a difficult struggle with hyperthyroidism. He took time to understand the details of my overall health then and is doing the same now that I am dealing with hypothyroidism. If you need a dentist who is approachable and cares about all of you, check him out! By the way, his staff members are an extension of him. They are polite, patient, respectful and personable! I highly recommend Dr. Cooper!

staff is great, very competent, professional and knowledgeable. The dentist needs to work on chair side manner. I was a new patient . he introduced himself to me, gave direction to the tech and left the room. Upon return before he examined me he explained he would do a referral to a specialist. He is not a good listener and thinks if he repeats the same thing over and over I will finally get it. My questions were about addressing long term and immediate needs, which he was never able to address. And could he take of the glasses with the microscope lenses and ear piece with the light. Thought I was talking to a Borg! It was like he was hiding behind his toys.

I felt like I was mislead a little, I was referred to an endodontist who had the same x-ray as you, but you declined to answer my questions about why I was being referred to their office and what his decision would be based on. Also my concerns on how I wanted to proceed weren't taken into consideration. It seems like I was given a "my way or the highway" attitude however, the office you referred me to was very upfront concerning my options, feasibility and my decision on how I wanted to proceed. I've been coming to your office a long time and if I come back I'll be sure to mention this to you.

I felt like everything with money $$ related. Paperwork, Dental work recommendation etc. all seemed to tailor to money rather than what is the immediate needed or concern. The first interaction on the visit was a form saying it will be $95 for cancelled appointments. As far as my dental exam, my only options where the most expensive options. I felt like there was no concern of my need or financial situation in mind. (it didn't matter).

I learned upon my arrival, AFTER I was in the examining room and in the chair, that I could not be treated because 4 yrs ago I had a hip transplant, and It was required that I have a letter from my surgeon stating that I did not need to take an antibiotic. I inquired if I could call the Drs office and have them confirm and was told that it had to occur within my appointment time frame. I have a 6 month check up routinely and have been okayed the past 3 years to not need an antibiotic. I have been planning on this appointment for several weeks. Perhaps a new patient packet mailed, emailed or even texted, would have prevented this very inconvenient and frustrationing sceneraio . Additionky, I prefer to not be addressed as "darling". While I'm certain your front desk person did not intend to embarrass or insult anyone, I am not comfortable with that protocol. I would appreciate knowing whether or not your office is in receipt of Dr. Blackman's letter. Thank you

For my first time I wasn’t as pleased as I thought I would be. I was recommended by friend and called immediately because of highly views from the recommender. I was given an appointment immediately and had to provide insurance. I called back and gave it to the receptionist but when I arrived at my appointment the receptionist could not find my name and then once I explained myself she then stated my insurance wasn’t right so I had to reschedule. It was very inconvenient and I had took off work so I was expecting a follow up to avoid that issue. Then on the day of the appointment the receptionist seemed lost on paperwork I already filled out. I thought the doctor would have been more personable but he was busy so I understood that. My hygienist is my main reason for wanting to continue to come to this practice because she really made me feel welcomed and answered all my questions. Also the following day the receptionist called me and didn’t know the reason until I explained my previous visit I thought that was not professional. But all in all it is a good practice. My first time was just a little disappointing but I will be returning.

Actually, I'm completing the survey for my great nephew Austin Humble. His mother is deceased and I assist his father in transporting and accompanying Austin to medical appointments. Austin is 12 years old. Dr. Cooper is very thorough and interactive with Austin as well as me, which we both appreciate, especially as I know Austin is a bit shy and nervous and wanting to do his best with his oral hygiene and care. I was especially impressed with his hygienist (Pauline, I believe). She was exceptionally thorough, and discussed with Austin some areas he should pay special attention to and took the time to show him how he should brush and floss in those areas. She made him feel at ease from the very start and he remarked at least a couple times to me upon our trip home how comfortable he felt with Pauline and Dr. Cooper. Thank you for all you do.

Reason for the 4. Although the Office staff is top notch and patient friendly, the doctor is a dddrrrrriiiiipppppppppp, in the last two years, I saw him three times and I still do not know what he looks like. On my last visit he said "hello" then spent a total of 10 seconds looking into my mouth. Then he left the room without even saying have a nice day.
