It is important to trust the training, knowledge, understanding, experience & professionalism of one's dental team. At this time, I am experiencing some challenges w/my teeth. I have confidence in Dr. Mycroft & Dr. Balkcom to guide me through this time. The office staff is also very kind & trustworthy in navigating insurance challenges. This is my first time visiting this office. My dentist of 30 years retired, and I had a hard time finding a new dentist. Upon the referral of a friend I called this office and they were very friendly and got me in very quick. I had a cleaning and I was able to see the dentist on the same day. The office was very friendly and very kind. The atmosphere in the office was very calming. I look forward to a relationship with this office for many years.

Laura was very helpful setting me up with everything , Michelle was awesome cleaning my teeth and explaining what I need to do going forward. Rachel was very helpful explaining the process and helping me relax. Dr Mycroft was so nice! I had a difficult extraction and she made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. The staff is always attentive to my needs. I found this practice maybe five or six years ago. I was looking for a family dentist and not a franchise, who would know me and my family. Today, I called and explained that I fell and needed an X-ray to make sure all was well; the staff immediately allowed me to come in for a visit. The dentist came and took the time to explain my results and gave me comfort.

I asked for Nitrous and an 8am appointment. I was called last week and informed the doctor would not be in till 9am and they couldn't administer the nitrous before she got there and when I got the exam room, the nitrous was nowhere in sight. When I asked about it, I was told I didn't need it.

Services are good when you are in the Office (Cleaning, x-rays, etc..). But I am in pain from grinding my teeth and I notified the Office 2 times in order to get a call back so I had to call my regular family Dr just to get some pain meds and no one at North Road Family Dental has cared to follow up with me until this pain is resolved so I feel the Office does not care about me or my pain. Still in pain..... I may have to seek help somewhere else to figure this out.

I was treated right away for a painful tooth. Dr. Owens himself took me back immediately. He was great in recommending treatment options and explaining to me what my options are. I made a mistake and didn't contact Dr. Owens immediately. We recently moved and I was trying to stay closer to where I live. I will make the drive to Dr. Owens from now on.

Good office environment; friendly personnel. Had a root canal which I was dreading and it went very smoothly. Had no pain afterwards was very surprised at how easily it would go. With the new owner in place the prices have gone up considerably. Also when Dr. Balkcom owned the practice there was zero wait time. When I arrived Karen was always waiting on me. Under the new owner I waited 20 minutes before being called back. That was a first. Also the nice lady, Sam, who was working the front desk was not sure about the billing but that was not her fault. She is normally a dental assistant but was asked to handle the front desk since everyone else was out. Laura usually handles the front and everything runs like clockwork when she is there. This was my first visit to Dr. Owens in his new practice...wow, very impressive! He is a great dentist and he has taken his practice to a higher level. Not only is he in a very beautiful office, outside and in, but the atmosphere created by a very warm and professional staff, helps anyone who is "not to fond of the dentist or dental visit" want to come back...again and again!

I was referred to your dental practice by my sister. She always raves about how much she loves this practice and the professionalism that is executed at each visit. After searching a while for a good dentist, I decided to try you out based on her reviews. And, she was right! My first visit was an awesome experience although I came to the office in distress! I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate my visits for many reasons, but most of all...I appreciate your honestly. I had visited two dental facilities, both in Snellville and they were trying to sell me on something that I didn't even need. One facility tried to have me see a Periodontist, claiming that I had gum disease. Conveniently, this "Specialist" was in the same building, just down the hall. The other Dental facility told me that I had a cavity, that has yet to be found! I appreciate the honesty. It means that you care about me...and not trying to sell me something that I don't need.

I have been a patient of Dr. Balkcom's twice in my life for a combined total of about 15 years. Once as a child when he first joined the practice until I went off to college, and again afterwards as an adult when I was able to choose my own dentist. He and his staff are always friendly and professional and explain clearly and honestly the state of my dental health and what changes I should make if any.

I had to switch dentists due to insurance reasons. I was very pleased with the first impression of the office and the staff. I was happy with my visit and I especially liked the updated x-ray machine. My mouth is small and many times my x-rays have been extremely uncomfortable but not with Dr. Balkcom's equipment. My first visit was for a cleaning. Laura was extremely helpful in getting me an appointment and working with my prior dentist to get my records. She was AWESOME! Karen was my hygienist and was gentle and thorough. I have to say it was the best cleaning I have had in years! Dr. BaIkcom was friendly and talked to me about the health of my gums and teeth. He indicated that I may have to have a crown, but wanted to wait until the rest of my files had been transferred. I appreciated this so much! I called my husband and cousin and told them they should look into making the change to Dr. Balkcom!
