When I sustained an eye injury after hours on a Friday, doctors were available to advise about how I should proceed until I was able to make an appointment to be seen. And then one of the docs came in to see me on that Saturday rather than making me go to an urgent care or emergency room. They went above and beyond, diagnosed and treated my injury, and were incredibly kind given that they were technically off the clock. I will be moving all of my eye care to Dopkiss after receiving surface that you just don't see a lot anymore. I'm forever grateful and my eye has healed completely!

It was my first time seeing Dr. Young, she was very pleasant and nice. I did miss seeing Dr. Dopkiss. I have a problem with my retina and she addressed it and explained everything. I only wish I had it written down because I do get anxious and forget a lot of what she said.

My family lives about a 40 minute drive from Dr Dopkiss’ office but we choose to come here because we love the level of care offered by the doctors and staff. It’s not only that they act professionally, they are polite and show patience and concern with us. Dr Dopkiss has recommended great brands of contact lens to fit my usage needs and his staff have been very patient in teaching our daughter how to use hers. Eye care is so important, so why price shop if there’s a place that can make me aware of any changes in my eyes or vision that signal a warning about other issues. Dr. Dopkiss is very caring eye doctor. He and his staff were took care of me very well. They went beyond the expectations and answered my questions, and addressed my problem. Dr. Dopkiss took pictures of back of eyes to find out if eye problem is causing me dizziness. he did not charge me for those pictures.

He is an excellent diagnostician —in 2008, he discovered my macular hole and swiftly coordinated an effort to have me in surgery within weeks of the diagnosis. In addition, he and his staff go above and beyond to coordinate the most cost-effective ways to utilize insurance, so that my services do not “break the bank.” So happy to be his patient.

Dr. Jessica and the staff did a thorough exam and were very patient in fielding several questions I had about my vision. Long time customer and fan, BUT...man. lots of time spent (and wasted) trying to get images of my eyes taken, ultimately failing to get this done and requiring that I come back in (which I simply won't be able to prioritize this year)... Seemed like maybe the associate who was using the equipment was new to the team AND like the equipment was new, and that was simply a suboptimal combination. Like I said...been w Dr. D since 2010 and this is the only time I've had any constructive criticism to offer whatsoever!

The Receptionist was very good about getting me into an appointment with Dr. Dopkiss for an emergency situation. The Bureau of Motor Vehicle's Rep's refused to pass me on their Eye Testing Machine. I was in a small time slot of getting my Driver's License Renewed. I needed to make an emergency trip to Kersey, PA to visit my sister and family over the death of her husband. I needed my eyes professionally examined and the States Form filled out for them to submit to the State's Medical Department. Per the Note on the Form the DMV Rep put a HOLD on my Driver's License making it illegal to driver in Ohio. I do not know if the HOLD was on my Driver's License, but they did put a HOLD on my ability to Renew my Driver's License which was needed by July 11th. I have never been fully satisfied with the current Eye Doctor selected from my Senior Medicare Insurance. The prescribed lens never seemed correct in my experience, but they say that they were. I had planned to return to Dr. Dopkiss and was putting it off and waiting and waiting. The current eye doctor moved farter away to north of Westerville. I needed Eye Doctor care to get me out of the problem that the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles placed me under. Upon revisit of the BMV to again apply to Renew my Driver's License, I went to a different BMV office, one in Westerville rather than the over crowded office on Morse Road. The Westerville BMV passed me on the Required Information for DL Renewal, submitted the Formed filled out by Dr. Dopkiss and never did a re-exam on their Eye Testing Machine, and passed me for DL Renewal. I had to wait for the new corrective lens, only the left eye needed changed before re-applying for my DL Renewal. Apparently, Westerville's BMV does not care whether I can pass an eye exam or not, the just submitted the Filled out Form to their Medical Department, and passed me on Dr. Dopkiss' report. Thank you, I am now a legal driver at 80 years old for the State of Ohio. jad

I have been a patient of Dr. Dopkiss for 20+ years. He always has the health of my eyes as his number one priority, even when I may refuse an uncomfortable test or two. He will work with me until my vision is perfect when fitting me for new lenses. I am on a computer 10+ hours a day for work and have experienced dry eye until he recommended a new contact lense. Now I can go all day and not realize that I'm wearing contacts. Dr. Dopkiss is the best and a very vital part of my healthcare routine.

From arrival to departure, the staff at Dopkiss Eyecare render the most complete and courteous service a patient could hope for. It seems each staff member knows their role and is supportive of each other in those roles. However, any one of the staff members is willing to offer immediate assistance is the person needed is not readily available. The communication avenues for services and reminders is very helpful.

I was very disappointed with this appointment. It has never happened before, but the staff member who tried to take my blood pressure & failed until I told her not again after 6 tries. Then after taking the photos of my eyes, she had to redo it because the computer wasn’t set properly. What normally was an hour took over 2 hours. If that had been my first time I never would have come back. Now I’m concerned because it has been 2 weeks & I have no notification that my glasses are ready. It has never taken this long before.

My experience with the technician was less than desirable this visit. I just was not convinced that she was that sure of herself. When she checked my eyes on the "Farmhouse" machine, she kept pushing the machine into my head, saying that she's pushing it as much as she can. I don't think she got a good reading because it took quite a while and the farmhouse wasn't doing much. Then, when she took me back to take a picture of the back of my eyes, it was shadowy and Dr. Jessica had to re-do the exam. The tech was pleasant enough, but I think she needed to be trained a little more.

Dr. Dopkiss and his staff exceed expectations and are true professionals. Dr. Dopkiss determined that I had high glaucoma pressures and referred me to a specialist. The specialist advised me that I had cataracts and that cataract surgery has a high success of lowering glaucoma pressures. I had the cataract surgery and my glaucoma pressure went from 27 to 13! The entire process was so easy (and pain free). High glaucoma pressures can destroy optic nerves and cause blindness. I'm forever thankful to Dr. Dopkiss for starting the chain of events that more than likely saved my eyesight. I highly recommend to anyone looking for professional eyecare to schedule an appointment with Dr. Dopkiss.

Contact Fitting and Developed Stye Still don't understand the Dopkiss definition of a "contact fitting" that I was billed for. Talked to friends who described a much more in-depth assessment of how the contact sits on the eye to make sure if fit properly. Nothing like that done here. I also woke up the morning after my appointment with a stye. Called my PCP and resolved that way because I honestly didn't trust Dopkiss after my experience.
