The assistant for eye doctor was very professional and knowledgeable about what she was doing. The Eye Doctor showed me what he was talking about. Very knowledgeable about diabetes and how it can affect your eye sight. I have told several people already. They are checking with there insurance first.

Dr Ryan Wirkus is a very friendly and engaging professional who provided a very thorough examination, explaining his findings in manner that the lay person can easily understand. He patiently answered all of my questions, encouraging me to ask any questions that I had. I also was impressed with Hannah who did the initial tests and work up before I saw Dr Wirkus.

Dr. Osborne is the Best. She not just care for her patients but she truly takes the time to understand your eye health, provide you options, and most importantly her knowledge is up to date. This was first visit. Moved to Charlotte 6 months ago. Did not have to wait once in room. Technician explained the tests and ran them efficiently. Doctor came in promptly. Reviewed my history. Explained what was to be done. Dr Megan Osbourne was very professional. She told me I did not need glasses to drive. Since my vision changed slightly after cataract surgery several years ago she gave me prescriptions if I felt more comfortable reading small print.

I arrived 10 min early for my appointment and walked straight in and back to the exam room, didn’t even wait in the lobby. The staff was very professional, pleasant, and efficient. I was in and out in 40 min (for an annual eye exam in which I was a new patient needing an updated contact lens prescription). Will be back next year!

The office staff were kind, nice and inviting, but honestly the exam with the optometrist felt unprofessional. It felt rushed, lacking professional advice and recommendations, more focused on the information in the computer rather then the patient, and gave 5 contact lens to try ( what am I supposed to do with the 5th one?! At least give equal for both eyes). Unpleasant, very technical and rushed.

Dr. Milan Lockhart was fantastic! I highly recommend him to anyone that is searching for an eye doctor. The location was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I felt like the doctor spent a good amount of time with me to explain things. I was able to get a new prescription that lasts 2 years as well as one weeks worth of a trial pair of contacts for $15. My one complaint was that I was told I need to see the doctor multiple times before it can be determined if I am a good candidate for Lasik. I wish there was a way for all my other eye doctors to share that kind of information, but that is not fault to this doctor or practice for their due diligence. Best eye doctor experience I have ever received

The one area which wasn't stellar was the ability to make an appointment and reach a "live" human being when calling to make an initial appt. as a new patient. Lots of messages were traded back and forth because no one ever answers the phone (!), and this was exacerbated by needing to make a new appt when the Colony Rd location was flooded. After a while, hearing the messaging of "It's our busiest time of year - please leave a message" became very frustrating.

The doctor was very rushed during my visit. It was my first time ever seeing an eye doctor. He made a comment about not waiting 28 years to see an eye doctor in a very rude tone. He could have been nicer and needs better patient bedside manner. Not everyone has the ability or funds to visit an eye doctor. The front office staff was friendly and very helpful.

It turned out I needed a new prescription. I had only ever needed readers. There must have been some disconnect between the Dr. and the dest staff. I told the lady in the front that I didn’t know what I should get (ie blue light, or anti-glare). At no point did it occur to her to explain it to me. I had to “drag” it out of her. The I asked about face measuring or the type may be best. She told me to just walk around. Also, it’s extremely tacky to just have the prices written on the glasses. Just buy a labeling tool. This was a complete waste of time. Now I have to search the internet to find a pair of glasses. Oh yeah let me google review as well.

I've never really needed glasses to see however everyone can always use a check-up. My last eye appointment was a few years ago and candidly, the last place I went to sucked and gave me some whack advice as to when I should wear my glasses - since I was still clueless until a day ago after our appointment. I go here and the doctor was flat out awesome, very knowledgeable and showed me how clear I can actually see. Turns out I'm near-sighted and he made the recommendation for driving and watching TV. High praise for everyone at the office and can't recommend enough.

I couldn't have been more impressed with Spectrum. I have suffered with severe dry eye for several years and, after a recent move from another state, had been seen by an ophthalmologist at one of the largest ENT systems in the city. I left that appointment feeling I had received the "same-old..same-old" as I had for the last 2 years, none of which, I felt, addressed the core of my problem. At Spectrum I began to feel a sense of hope. Various treatment modalities and options were presented to me and all were fully explained. I felt like someone actually looked at me as an individual, an individual that had other alternatives that could be explored. The respect for the professionalism and caring I received also carried through to the staff that assisted me in my eyeglass selection..which, incidentally, is also impressive.

Feel lucky to have found Spectrum Eye Care - South End. The staff and doctors are extremely nice and helpful. I personally had my annual contact exam a few months ago and like them so much I brought my 11 year old daughter for her first real exam and need for glasses. She was nervous and the staff and doctors were very informative and walked her through everything from initial intake, exam and picking out frames. I have never felt rushed or treated like just another patient. I can't say enough nice things about this office!

Great atmosphere from the minute I walked into the South Blvd store. Everyone was knowledgeable and attentive, I felt confident with my eye doctor, answered all questions even questions I forgot to ask. I definitely will be going back for my next eye care appointments. The glasses are a little pricey but they will work to accommodate your price point. Again, very happy I chose Spectrum for my eyes.

He really took a consultative approach by listening to my concerns and presenting me multiple options. It was so refreshing. The opticians were also exceptional. I loved the office and the experience! I only request that the owner will consider allowing people with medical exemptions an opportunity to breathe freely without a mask. We had a wonderful experience at Spectrum Eye! The staff and provider, Dr. Osborn did a wonderful job with my son! They got him in quickly, provided excellent care, and followed up to see how he was doing. They provided great, personalized care for our family. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience.

Everyone here was so nice and helpful! Haven't had an eye exam in a few years since I hate having my eyes messed with so I was putting it off. These guys made me feel so comfortable and the whole appointment was so easy and efficient! My optometrist was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all my questions. The office itself was beautiful and clean! Definitely will be returning here for my annual eye exam :-)

The first thing I noticed upon entering Spectrum Eye Care is how clean the space is. They are taking extra steps to make sure the visit is safe, which is extremely appreciated! Each person I worked with washed hands and used sanitizer regularly. Each piece of equipment and even the chairs were wiped down before being used. The staff were friendly, helpful and the doctor gave clear, concise information. All in all, a great visit and will definitely return.

Great facility, service, and staff. An incredible experience from walking in the door until walking out. My previous eye doctor I could pack a lunch because I would be there for 2+ hours. Not at Spectrum. In and out in an hour with more information than I had ever received from my old eye doctor.
